Sushigami is placed strategically well in the mall, right in a centralized atrium at the end of Avenue 3 (the blue one) where 2 different sections connect. I was walking and the circulating sushi caught my eye, then staring turned to looking at the menu, then looking at the menu turned to sitting down and ordering. I feel like this has probably happened to many people. Must be so easy for them to get business. Although there's sushi and more things like desserts (brownies, etc.) on the conveyor belt, there are also items from the menu that can be ordered. I got 3-piece Chicken Gyozas (Japanese dumplings). They weren't worth the $4.50, too generic and felt weak. I knew the specialty here was the sushi, so I picked the "Simon" off the belt, which had chicken katsu (breaded fried Japanese chicken), crab, avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds, eel sauce and spicy mayo. It was FANTASTIC. Completely worth the $5 and made me wish I didn't get Gyoza and tried another sushi instead. The price labeling here is cool. Every price point has a different color, so whatever color the plate is on the conveyor belt, is the price of the sushi or other dish. The prices are listed in a chart above the belt and in the menu. Came here to eat lunch with a coworker and I was very impressed. You have the option to just stop by and grab and quick snack while shopping or you can sit down in a booth with friends. The different foods are placed on colored plates depending on their prices. It's a little bit on the pricey side for the amount that you get but the quality is just as good if not better than your typical sushi joint. They also have hot plates and appetizers that are cooked when you order. There is a donut shop located right across from sushigami. Not sure if they are owned by the same company, but if you take your receipt from sushigami and show it to the donut shop, you will get a donut for 10% off. What more can you ask for fresh Sushi going around on a coveryor belt and the plate are priced according to the color of the plate. You really have to take your time and order wisely because what seem like a cheap value can add up to be a pretty pricy meal, or you spending more than you expected real fast. I have been here three times and I usually stay under $20 and leave pretty satisfied. Not only do they have the rolls going around on the belt, but they have a full menu of soups, other rolls, desserts and small entrees. The price is a bit high for only 4 pieces of sushi. Each plate contains 4 pieces of sushi. The plate is color coded for the price (light blue is $3, blue is $3.50, pink is $5, red is $6). The waiter was nice and attentive to our needs. I like the concept of the sushi on the conveyor belt but I don't know if I feel comfortable coming here toward the end of the day because I wouldn't know how fresh the sushi are. I'm a firm believer that towards the end of the night a food establishment should always give good quality food and service as much as possible. Having been at the other end of the spectrum getting closing work and side work done as soon as possible is also an important point at the end of the night as well. My daughter and I were looking to snag a bite to eat after a long day of work, school, and a "make up" shopping trip since we were to busy yesterday to get her shopping completed. If I would have known it was an hour before closing time we would of definitely just got across the mall and went home. But tired, thirsty, and starving we made a pit stop to Sushigami where previously we have had a great time. Service was a little slow in Sushigami's defense I think the server was new. My three year old and I had to use the restroom and the whole time after that the server was trying to pull the check like we weren't going to pay. Some of the items that were labeled spicy actually weren't. This place is awesome with a few things that you don't have to missed out on than if you were to go to an actual sit down sushi establishment green tea, saki, mochi, and even ramune. The plates range in price depending on the color and of course it's always fun due to the conveyer belt running throughout the seating area. Awesome location next to Avenue three and in front of Forever 21 and a bathroom close by which is a must at Sawgrass. When I am in the Sawgrass mall, I generally make a pit-stop to sushigami for some good, and quick, sushi food. There is a good selection of sushi running around the tables and bar area. The selection runs from more simple roles to some more complex ones. Some of my favorites are the spicy tuna rolls and the volcano. A helpful tip - if you want something that is not on the belt, you can special order it. I always special order a spicy tuna handroll. read more

Great concept for a mall, because it's so easy if you're in a hurry or just want a snack rather than a full lunch (but a snack that's healthier than a pretzel or slice of pizza). My first instinct was that the small plates were overpriced, but a plate of sushi here has 4 pieces for $3 - $5.50. A full roll at a restaurant would be double that portion, and if you doubled the price $6 or 7$ would be pretty standard for a basic roll. So, not a bad deal. The rolls piled with crab meat and fish looked like a generous portion. I tried the veggie roll and a California roll, both were average. You can also get edamame, soups, salads and gyoza made to order. My only concern with this place is how long the sushi is sitting out, and if the staff has any way of keeping track of this. I couldn't find any time stamps or other indicators on the plates. I reassured myself that the turnaround time in a busy mall must be pretty fast, but I hope they have some type of system in place. Really basic rolls like a simple salmon roll will come with 6 small pieces, i think this was a purple plate ($4). The environment is very modern and casual, the service is very quick, and the staff is very nice! I really wanted to like this place. With that said the server was good, attentive, and explained everything well. My biggest issue with Sushigami was the fact that they have no system in place to know how long the food has been on the conveyor belt. They also had sushi prepared and stacked up behind the conveyor belt that was there for an unknown period of time. In the hour and a half we were there I never saw one roll prepared and placed on the conveyor belt nor did I see the "chefs" remove any of the old food. I order the Chirashi Rice Bowl off the menu. It was meh, the fish was cut into extremely large pieces making it difficult to eat the fish with the rice or anything else and the avocado was not ripe. And now that I look at the menu description I notice that it was missing sweet potato and sweet fried tofu. It was pricey but I expected that so that was no big surprise. The one thing that I ate off the conveyor belt was spicy tuna in a wonton taco shell. The tuna was good but the wonton taco shell was extremely soggy and had no crunch whatsoever which made me worried that it had probably been sitting out for a long while. read more

I went here today with a friend, it's located in the Sawgrass Mills Mall if you're coming from the Target entrance, going past the section with Ben Sherman, Levis, Express (the top stores I go to lol) and what is this sitting almost in the middle of where the Dippin Dots used to be? For those unfamiliar with the kaiten (conveyer belt) sushi concept, sushi is placed on different colored plates (which represent varying prices) which by way of conveyer belt (duh) move throughout the dining area. You're given a menu and on it is a legend which indicates whether something is spicy, cooked, vegetarian, must be ordered via your waiter/waitress, and what color represents what price...ranging from $3.00-$7.00 The nigiri (sushi) I believe are all two pieces each. I had the squid, yellowtail, and for sashimi I had four pieces of albacore in ponzu sauce. Each had some garnishes like jalapeno, yuzu pickle relish, etc. My friend had a roll 4 pcs, (I forget which), edamame, yellowtail nigiri, inari (fried tofu with what looked like spicy guacamole) nigiri. As for the quality...I think you pay more for the concept and convenience. Not gonna lie, I'm biased because I get free sushi elsewhere and I've had melt in your mouth sushi in NYC. As for a quantity/quality/price evaluation, that's up to you to decide against what other sushi place you normally frequent. Personally, if I had my regular places for sushi, I'd go elsewhere.
