Have been in Paris for 5 days now and this is the best meal and service we have gotten since being in town. We stumbled upon it while walking through a neighborhood and when I went to pull the door it wouldn't open and was bummed out that they were closed UNTIL a kind lady came and pushed the door open for us and got us seated right away. On the street there are many other Japanese/sushi places however I think this is definitely one of the best priced with great quality fish. They may not have the widest variety however they definitely had the freshest. The owners were very lovely and whenever they heard a chopstick drop they were already on getting us a new one. If ever in Paris again I will be sure to come back and support this business. read more

I ordered a udon soup and and dumpling combo. The menu did not list what kind of meat it was going to be so I decided to be adventurous and just go for it. It ended up being pork. Maybe they had a board somewhere that said what the meat of the day would be but I didn't see one. It was good but not the most remarkable meal ever. I learned when you don't know how to order water in French just say you want an Evian. LOL. Since we didn't order an appetizer or dessert ot one of the cheapest meals we had in Paris. Coming from Hawaii, it may be that my expectations for great Sashimi to be high. So I won't dock off too much points for that. The rice was okay, the salmon sashimi was slightly underwhelming as it didn't taste all too fresh. Wife had the udon which was simplistic but fine. I'd dock off more for the ratings but the price was reasonable. If you want sushi, it is the cheapest way to get it. Value wise, it wasn't there for me. Service was on point which was great. Owners were very nice and accommodating. This is one of the few times that Yelp has disappointed me with the ratings. Unfortunately, unless it's a Vietnamese restaurant as they were directly influenced by the French, this would probably be the last Asian meal in this country during my stay here. read more

Love this place! I ordered their Menu Etudiante which was around 9 euros I believe. It came with sushi, kebabs, and soup and salad. Everything was great and tasted very fresh! What really blew me away about this place, however, was the service! I went for a late lunch and the place was pretty empty, which could have been a partial reason for the exceptional service. I believe the woman who waited our table was also a co-owner of the place (along with her husband), and she was incredibly friendly. She really made an effort to speak English with me, and then eventually switched to Mandarin when she found out that we are both Chinese. I would 100% return to this place because it is rare to find places in Paris with such exceptional service. read more

The menu was full of pictures and various combo meals, which made it easier to order since it was in French. This place was one of the few places open through the afternoon in Luxembourg, Paris, rather than closing at 3pm. Perfect for my girlfriend and I, as it was after 3pm and we were starving! When we arrived the place was empty, and we were tempted by the bright lights of the sushi place across the road, but thanks to Yelp, we made the right choice! The service here is 5*, friendly, welcoming, and with a smile. It has a nice calm ambience, not overly bright, and not too dark. It looked clean, and was comfortable. The food was really good -- first the miso soup which was pretty standard, not especially tasty, but that wasn't a big deal at all. The wakame salad (salad d'algue) was super fresh, and tasted great. You can change the regular salad from the set menu for the wakame salad for an extra €2. The sushi was fresh enough, and the yakitori was cooked on the spot and came piping hot to the table as they were cooked (we asked if the food could be brought once ready). The pitchers of wine were great value for money, and the sake was good too. We were both stuffed when we left, and with food we enjoyed. A definite recommendation! read more

The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean, but there was hardly any fish selection with not the greatest quality cuts. Nigiri was poorly formed, way too much sushi rice and the rice was very tightly packed. For the quality, this restaurant is definitely on the expensive side. Maybe this is okay for Parisian standards, it looked like most sushi restaurants in the city only offered salmon, tuna and sea bream and the menus from the outside all look very similar. read more

We were going back to our hotel then saw several Japanese restaurants on the route (bus 27) and decided to get Japanese in Paris. The restaurant is the last restaurant on this street but we decided to go here as Yelp reviews were great. I ordered sashimi dinner and my boy friend ordered sashimi + yakitori. Both were so tasty and we are in agreement that sushi quality was as good as California. The price was really reasonable (14.50 Euro for my sashimi plate and 12.50 for my bfs sashimi + yakitori). I would recommend this place mainly because of the service. The owners are a Chinese couple whom are very nice, hardworking and says Merci (thank you) with a smile quite often. The food is okay but that's because I'm half Japanese and I have high standards. They could use less rice on their sushi and possibly invest in better quality but then again, we are in France. It was nice to be treated with hospitality, unlike a lot of other French eateries where they treat you differently simply because you're not French or you're one of the "too many Americans" that come to visit. French people's reputation for rudeness lives up to their standards. On a street filled with Japanese restaurants, this small place in the middle of the street was filled. A good sign, yes? Ah oui, mes amis. I had a chicken udon - sushi / sashimi combo for about 10e. The udon was excellent, and I slowly understood why the place was frequented by students and locals. Most everyone got the udon. The menu is otherwise fairly basic and similar to the other restaurants, no fancy sushis, your good old yakitori skewers and the like.
