A friend and I were looking for a place to have dinner, there were many restaurants to choose form in the area, we saw another friend with his family eating in here, so we joined them, and I am pleased that we did! The place is small, but had several tables and it seemed to be a bright and cheerful place. We sat at a table next to our friends and given menus. We ordered beers and Sake. The menu was full of Sushi and other Japanese food items, but as soon as I saw Robata on the menu, I was sold! I ordered Edamame, Gyoza, several pieces of Sushi and some rolls; as well as some Robata. You rarely see Robata on a menu, and when I do, I always order a few skewers of delicious grilled food. Our server brought our drinks and Edamame, we all cheered each other and ate the hot and tasty beans. A few minutes later, our main courses showed up, and it was plentiful. All the food was fresh and delicious, I was very pleased with this quality of Sushi, especially at the decent prices! Now, the Robata was excellent as well perfectly grilled and served hot, as well as large portions. We came here twice during our stay at the Hyatt nearby - it is a quiet, lovely little diner with a great selection of sushi and sashimi as well as yakisoba, yakiniku, gyoza, udon, etc. Our waitress helped us maximize the amount of sashimi we could get with the menu items, and they were great with our huge takeout requests as well. Decided to have dinner here because it was cold and rainy outside and my hotel is across the street. I tend to be a sushi snob because I'm from a city that is known for great sushi and I have to say this place is very good. They have a vast selection of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi as well as other types of foods and combos. It took me probably 10 minutes to decide what I wanted because the menu is pretty solid and it all looked good. I settled for gyoza to start and then a hot roll and a royal roll (I believe it was called). The gyoza was very flavorful and came out within minutes of being ordered. The two sushi rolls came out not long after that. Both rolls were fresh fish and very flavorful as well. I was very happy with the quality of the rolls, the prompt service and the experience overall. A coworker and I ate here and thought it was delicious. Prices were very reasonable and you get a TON of sushi for the price. We ordered a few appetizers and had sushi and a poke bowl and all were delightful. Ingredient quality was good and they even had a nice wine selection for a sushi place. So the french typically don't do takeout. They're just stuck up that way. So you don't really wanna ask. So what happens when little Nachito is tired but Mrs Nach still wants something to eat? You gotta find something. And what you do is hit up the ethnics. Cuz they ain't stuck up about the french when it comes to sticking their stuff in a 2go bag....they just want that peso. So I roll into Fujiyama lookin for some takeaway teriyaki. First, the fish was awesome. Fresh, fresh, fresh. Sushi rolls were great. Moved on to Udon. The way they do theirs is like vietnamese pho (noodle soup). Same flavor, only with fat noodles and cabbage. This DOES NOT work. The fat noodles disintegrate and make the soup gummy. 3rd dish, chicken teriyaki. If I rolled into a East Los Angeles fast food joint, this would be OK, but hey, it's Paris; culinary capital of the world, and the teri just straight doesn't step up. BOORING. Anyway, these japanese chicks speak english and are friendly enough to take your order. FYI, a langustine is just a friggin huge shrimp. It's not japanese Lasagna. read more

The last time I was here, this was a French restaurant (Le Petit Sale). I was pleased that this is a traditional sushi restaurant with all the traditional offerings. The Miso soup is very good, the service was prompt and the nigiri pieces were generous in size and reasonably priced. Lots of specialty rolls to chose from. I will come back! read more

Just wanted to try Japanese food tonight. Saw the reviews in Yelp, and WOW, what a surprise!!! Service was good. Soup and salad came right after we ordered our dinner. Sashimi were fresh. Brochettes: chicken, chicken wings, beef balls, beef with cheese and beef were all very tasty and tender. Nice and quiet little place with excellent food and not pricey at all. read more

I enjoyed the bento box with salad and soup. The sashimi was good and fresh - not a hint of dryness. The restaurant has a steady business of take away and by 8pm the restaurant was half filled. I'd expect it to be completely filled by 10pm. I look for a fair amount of business in a sushi restaurant to make sure the inventory is turned over frequently. It was very clean. If I spoke better French, I'd say take down the tacky Kikkoman poster in the main window. It doesn't explain sushi that well but it's great at blocking the view of the street for anyone over 5' tall. read more
