They no longer have sushi sets, which I was disappointed to see. They did have pre-packed sushi sets, but they were pricey and I wanted freshly made sushi. So I ordered the following: - Crunch Spicy Salmon Traditional Roll ($6.95+) - Yellowtail Scallion Avocado Roll ($6.95+) - Miso Soup ($3.25+) This added up to $17.15 pre-tax, which is unfortunately too pricey for an everyday lunch at work. Both the sushi and miso soup were tasty, though. Just may not be frequenting as much as I used to. At the same time, a positive change is that they've started selling Japanese snacks and ice cream. Unfortunately, I didn't see one of those iPad ordering stations anywhere, maybe they got rid of it? My typical go-tos at any sushi place are the sweet potato rolls and a avocado & cucumber roll. They had the combo (latter), but at a slightly higher price so I passed on it. Food was good, as I expected. I didn't have to wait too long to receive my order, so that also helped. I've studied a bit about sushi's culture, history, and practice thus can add to my review of Sushi-teria's customer experience with more depth than before. Sushi-teria's stuck out in my very many decades long and still strong love of sushi because in the times picking up here since my original review, their high quality of ingredients and fresh prep and execution and time-sensitive pickups are all foundational to the experience. Time is important because the highly perishable product and items are not too forgiving thus all the logistics labor, attention, and thoughtfulness matter more starkly than for other cuisines. Quality is important because the exquisite tastes are so easily felt even if hard-to-describe. Presentation is important and even in this mostly pickup format, even more apt for an era of less preferably indoor dining, they excel. I've been out of the office since lockdown thus am super anxious to return to Sushi-teria in person after the winter. read more

Convenient and fast sushi and poke. I usually get the salmon or tuna poke bowl - the sauces they use are really tasty and I love all the little sides they put inside. It's a flavor explosion! Spicy mayo puts it over the top, in a good way. I have also tried the seared tuna and spicy tuna bowls. The sushi burritos are also really good - my favorite is the Hawaiian crunch which includes mango. I love mango with my sushi - sweet and savory! The spicy kani miso soup is a nice change from regular miso soup. You order on an iPad inside the restaurant or you can order ahead online or via text. If you get text alerts you can get a free drink with your order, they text you when there is a deal. They participate in mealpal which I tried for a time. The bowls are slightly modified so not exactly the same as a regular meal but still filling. My company paid the sushi chefs to host a sushi making class - it was awesome. We all made regular sushi rolls and hand rolls and were each able to keep a bamboo sushi mat that they provided! It also had a sake tasting included. read more

Came here for the poke bowl since I was in the neighborhood. From what I saw, you order your meal from a tablet so you don't need to tell the employees and have time to add the items you want without pressure. If you need help, you ask the cashier who comes to help you with your order. I was using a mealpal and had to tell the cashier who will pull the mealpad placard card from under the register. Got an opportunity to try two days in a row. I actually liked this place, I tried the spicy big eye tuna roll. It was actually a lot tastier than I expected but it's not exactly cheap... $7.25 for 6 pieces is more than what I'd usually pay but it is the city and it's almost the norm. I think the quality and freshness was actually pretty good in comparison to ... premade sushi spots, your typical Chinese owned sushi restaurant. It was just really pricey. 1 roll and a drink will easily cost over $10 after tax. Tasty treat but won't be enough for a meal unless you're a child. I really liked the sushi here, I just wish it was more affordable. I'll probably try one of their rice bowls next time. I ordered the Salmon Poke Bowl and Spicy Yellowtail Roll and I was pleased the restaurant's efficiency - there are multiple iPads stationed around the seating area, and it felt very customer-oriented. Check in here to receive a free spicy tuna roll! Great customer service and food! I was there on a Friday afternoon around 4pm and there was no customers in there. Ordering process was very straight forward. They have tablets on the side you can just order there. The place was super clean and the host was very friendly. After receiving the order, utensils, bag, and sauce are on the side. This place is great for grab and go and they have seatings as well. I ordered a salmon avocado roll and I checked in to receive the free spicy tuna roll. Honestly I loved their spicy tuna roll more than the one I ordered. The newest restaurant in Koreatown/Midtown is Sushi-teria. This is a great restaurant for to-go order or quick sit-down meal. Once you step inside the restaurant, find an iPad and browse the sushi options. You can choose individual pieces or combo meals. There are also appetizers and sashimi. If you order full rolls, you also have the brown rice option. You can customize your orders by adding comments on the iPad screen. However, they don't offer substitutions in sushi combos. They will call you by name once your order is ready. They take both cash and credit card. Online order is accepted. I tried the Yuzu miso soup and it was just okay. Finally tried a sushi burrito this week! It was good and fresh- I really liked how easy it was to order and the food came out pretty quickly. If you check in on yelp you get a free jelly drink- win! I ordered salmon burrito- with brown rice (extra$) and no cream cheese with side of mayo (extra$)- 16$ later I felt it was pretty good. Not the most amazing sushi burrito as the brown rice is different than the usual but still good! I'd like to try some of their rolls next time! The concept here is fresh fast food so this is great for people on the go, travelers, folks picking up lunch during the workday, grabbing food before a show at MSG, etc. So I came here yesterday with some friends and had the opportunity to try several things. I ordered a Hawaiian Crunch Salomón sushi burrito, my friend ordered a lightly seated tuna poke bowl, another friend ordered a grilled chicken poke bowl and we shared some apps and rolls - spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon dragon roll, shrimp shumai, vegetable gyoza, spicy rock tempura shrimp skewers, etc. Everything tasted amazing! This isn't a fancy dining establishment and I've definitely had better sushi and poke at other places - but given the fast food concept here everything was delicious, well-made and super fresh! The staff here was kind, quick and it was cool to walk in, order food off of iPads and then just have a seat. Sushi-Teria is just your average NYC fast-moving lunchtime restaurant. Over the past 6 months, I have been here 3 times. Each time i've been satisfied with both service and food. The overall sushi quality is pretty decent, the prices are good, and you even get a nice amount of food! The house-made sauces are also very tasty. Restaurant is clean and has a pretty cool iPad ordering system that helps move things along. I enjoy and recommend any of the poke bowls and/or the sushi burritos. read more

The food comes out really quickly! If you are in a hurry or simply want a fast meal, you should definitely try this place out. I've never had good sushi come out this quickly. I got the Orange Dragon Roll and it was really tasty. I will say that if you are craving the fish flavor itself, this roll is probably not the move. It's pretty overpowered by the mayo sauce, so it's harder to taste the fish. The roll was fairly expensive - I'm not sure if it was completely worth $14. However, I'd probably still come back here every once in a while. Service was really, really good. Server is VERY nice. Also, there are lots of food options and I appreciate that very much. One of my go-to meal is the tuna tazaki rice bowl. Usually, it is mixed with some edamame and yellow daikon with a little imitation crab meat. Great if you're really feeling anti-social. This place is lined with tablets to order your meal. I asked the one young lady at the front desk (who had her headphones in and keys in hand, looking like she was about to walk out the door) if you could create your own version of any of their menu options. She said yes, led me over to a tablet and told me whatever comments I add to my order will be honored. Cool. I chose the spicy tuna poke bowl, however I asked for two items to be left out of my bowl (the red and green peppers and the spicy kani salad) and then replaced with two different items, cucumber and mango. (two items I saw elsewhere on their menu and should be comparable in price.) They were kind enough to omit the items I requested to take off my dish, but did not replace them with the ones I asked for. They didn't ask if I was willing to pay extra for the addition (which the tablet said might happen) they just left them off. Fine. The bowl itself was good. The fish was super fresh and tasty and the sushi rice had a great texture and had some interesting smoky seasoning. I also ordered the pork gyoza which were good, though not exceptional. I asked they switch out my jalapeno soy sauce for regular soy, which they did without issue. Thankfully, with the automated tablet system they print out a detailed receipt of your order, which I needed, because several things I paid extra for were not included in my order. First my water bottle, ok. And then my spicy mayo, all right. It just seemed like the quality control on the orders that come out weren't up to snuff, because I had to go up several times to have my issues fixed and then they weren't just easy reach under the counter fixes, but run to the back and scrounge around fixes. The meal also took almost 10 minutes to prepare, which I guess certifies that it's fresher, but also it's fast casual, minus the fast. I came here for lunch on a Saturday and ordered via the Allset app. The place itself has an interesting setup - order by iPad and someone will bring you your order. I ordered a spicy salmon burrito with crunchy shallots. It was pretty pricey and there wasn't much salmon in general. It was mostly rice. I could go to Pokeworks and get the same thing for cheaper and more salmon. I guess since it's in the Empire State Building, they charge more. A place where you can electronically place your order, avoid small talk with cashiers, and a wide open space with numerous seating...what's not to love about this place. Seeing how sushi burritos are the newest trend in food and the immense popularity Pokeworks has received with the past months (which I am glad to have tried before they became popular), I decided to try out this place to feed my sushi burrito craving. As compared to Pokeworks, this place has a more refreshing Japanese feel whereas Pokeworks had a warm Hawaiian feel. The minute I walked into this place, my eyes were literally coming out of my eye socket. Not only was this place spacious, through the sides of the walls are kiosk tablets, in which you control how to you take your order. Nothing like customizing your own order would make you feel powerful (I kid... but it does feel cool to control what you order). I came here with my brother and we ordered the Spicy Camaron sushi burrito (which consisted of crispy shrimp tempura, spicy kani, cucumber, sweet mango, pickled oshinko, kanpyo, iceberg lettuce and masago topped with sweet soy sauce), and the Hawaiian Crunch (which consisted of spicy tuna, avocado, seaweed salad, tempura flakes, sweet mango, crisp lettuce and masago topped with their wasabi citrus sauce) with brown rice ($1 more). Both were about $12 each. The Hawaiian Crunch was good, but personally for me the avocado and spicy tuna made the whole burrito a bit bland tasting and mushy. The wasabi was not as strong as I had hoped and it wasn't crunch as I had hoped (maybe because I got this order to go and ate it later on). For me the taste came and went with every bite. The Spicy Camaron was my personal favorite. The crunchiness of the shrimp tempura, cucumber and oshinko (pickled radish), the spiciness of the kani, the sweetness of the soy sauce and the tanginess of the mango made every bite an amazing experience. There was so many different flavors that oddly accommodate each other. One bite takes you on a trip of so many flavors in your mouth. Food: delicious, my favorite was Spicy Camaron burrito (spicy, tangy and crunchy) Appearance: spacious, modern-tech, just a small area to pick up your order what Service: first time I've used an electronic service and it was great; they email your receipt and text you when your order is ready Price: pretty average for city seafood (~$10-$15), I think the sushi burritos were worth it seeing how big and filling they are. Instead at this place, you order from a virtual stand as the sushi chefs stare at you and make your order once you swipe your card. The quality of the sushi wasn't of the highest grade. Finally, a sushi-only place that's closer to my office! The interior is super bright and they were playing some pop music, which was unexpected but not unpleasant. When you go in, you'll see iPad ordering kiosks all along the walls, which are especially efficient since it gives some the chance to peruse their menu while giving others the speed they want and need to order. If there's a huge crowd of people waiting for their food, don't fear; their service is very fast so it doesn't take long at all for them to prepare your order. It may take a little while longer for non-sushi items (e.g., gyoza), but even then they're still pretty quick. Prices were on par with Asian restaurants in the area, so don't expect a cheap meal. Sushi and sashimi run for $3-$4 per piece. The cashiers are very nice and courteous when handing your food. They recite everything that's in the bag, even sauces, and wait for you to confirm the contents. If you're missing something, they're quick to give you what you need. Because this is a pure to-go place, there aren't any seats, which is probably a good thing. They can focus on speed and service instead, which will be a huge appeal to those working nearby. The sushi is pretty good, much fresher than I expected. A lot of places use old, dry sushi rice, but not Sushi-teria. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their rolls. A note, though: I can't say anything for the freshness of their fish since I opted for their Pacific Jewel roll which had eel (and that's typically pre-packaged). And though I didn't trust their website enough to do so (I didn't have enough time to check whether they were using security certificates to safely send credit card info), you can order and pay online, then pickup in store. You can even indicate when you want to pickup, if not immediately. TLDR; One of the only places in the area that specializes in sushi. Decent quality, typical NYC prices. Definitely not the size of a burrito. This is not the first place to ever come up with this concept. I have had true to size sushi burritos elsewhere. Wish they could make theirs actual burrito size here. I got the Mixed Vegetable Sushi Burrito and it had a lot of lettuce. A lot... I'm glad I ordered a side of Spicy Mayo to dip it in because if not it would have been pretty dry. All and all though I might go back. One thing making me unsure of returning is the price. Staff was very confused, but friendly enough, but the product was just an awful, unappealing-in-every-way mess. Gotta call this what it is - a quick stop for workers at lunch or tourists with no patience to walk around. Located right in the ESB, this is fast sushi made for people on the go. Stroll in late on a Saturday evening and you order at the little touch pad kiosks. Came here to try the sushi burrito, so ordered the Salmon Like You ($12) and a Snapple ($2.25). They only had diet snapple at the time, so settled on that (mild nuisance). Food came out in 8 minutes, with to-go bags since that's their clientele. Burrito itself looks appetizing, yet not a lot of sushi involved in it. Lots of cream cheese and caviar, though all the ingredients are in different areas of the burrito, so hard to get all in one bite. Overall it's light and easy to take out with you, so they hit those marks for people needing something quick. Yelp check in gets you a free side salad. It's not great, but it's free. Technology meets sushi! I have been eyeballing this place ever since I saw the sushi signs pop up. I was pretty confused at first trying to understand why they were advertising sushi and tablets but the world makes sense now! The sushi-teria (play on cafeteria.. haha yeah it took me a minute to get it) is your made to order lunch counter, there are sushi chefs standing by waiting to freshly make your sushi. Along the walls are many mounted iPads with their menu built in, just scroll through and pick what you like, customize as you please and pay! Boom all done! For those of you who don't like plastic there are options to pay cash as well. Staff here is very sweet, they saw me fumbling around with the iPad trying to figure out the menu and one walked over and walked me through the entire menu. You have the option of putting in your email or phone number to get an confirmation text or email when you food is done - talk about integrating technology. Food came out relatively quickly so for you on the go people this is definitely a bonus. I ordered two of their maki bites, two pieces of sushi and the seaweed salad for a grand total of $15. A bit more than I wanted to spend for a small snack, but I was really curious.. The seaweed salad was pretty great, it was made of many different types of seaweed which was different - but in a good way. There were a lot of different textures and the dressing was mild and not overbearing, with a slight hint of wasabi to each bite. The maki bites and sushi were ok. The fish wasn't as fresh as I would have liked, but then again sushi on the east coast has been a bit of a disappointment for me. But by all means wasn't the worst sushi I've had either. Overall, its alright. Food is pretty expensive, but considering its inside the Empire State Building that is a given. I love the convenience of being able to order and customize on the iPad - you can even order beforehand online and swing by to pick it up. read more

Really good sushi have been going here since it opened... only two issues are the following: Expensive (I guess because of location) and Paying $1 for a small container of spicy mayo that barely gets filled half way! I've even gone back and asked for them to fill it up all the way because I had so little of it. Please either fill the container up or charge less. read more

Easy, friendly service and pickup using the Allset app! I went for the salmon teriyaki bowl and of course extra avocado. The avo was fresh and the bowl was definitely a good sized portion. A bit pricey for what it is, maybe because of its location right at the Empire State Building. It totaled to almost $20, I got the bowl with wild rice, avocado, and the salmon roe. Wild rice is delicious, definitely recommend getting that it's $1.25 extra. The bowl comes with edamame, crab meat I believe, peppers. The interior is cute as well, with a couple small tables and a bar along the side. Minimal seating probably 30 max. I got there a bit early and they were extremely accommodating with preparing my food early. They knew of the order and there was no mixup with the ordering process through the app! You get the free peach jelly drink with check in. The drink is good extremely sweet, loved the jelly more. read more

had lunch here yesterday, the entire experience was great. the staff was extremely friendly (especially the girl at the counter!) i had the spicy tuna rice bowl and a citron tea (you get free for checking in on yelp!) and the food was delicious! the tea was a little sweet for my liking, but sill good for a few sips! i highly recommend and will definitely be back! read more
