Having heard good things about this place from coworkers, when we had an hour to kill before a show it seemed a decent option. Yeah, no... So when most of the menu items and rolls are built around fake crab and steamed shrimp, I should have known. Should have seen the signs warning me of a subpar evening ahead... When the entire specials menu says MP or "ask us" that should have been a sign that the restaurant is going to cost you as if they are really proud to overcharge... Imagine how you'd feel finding out that they offer the same quality of rolls you'd find at the Publix fish counter... But here I am... Sushi Simon has really cute decor and a wall of framed local magazine covers promoting themselves so I fell for the hype and decided to sit down and have a meal. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable but service here is decidedly not what anyone would call fast. It wasn't until AFTER we had ordered that the server told us they were only serving bluefin tuna tonight so anything with tuna in it would be $2 higher than listed, but it's just a couple bucks, let's do it. Unfortunately, the presentation far outweighed the execution. Rolls were tasteless, rice was gummy, and the "5 special sauces" just tasted like honey, ketchup, and mayo. Do yourself a favor, go pretty much anywhere else and get better sushi at a more affordable price.

Great sushi. The sushi seemed fresh, and the selection of rolls were good. The sushi is a bit on the pricey and they only had the more expensive Tuna when we went. We had 4 people, and one person didn't even get sushi and our bill came out to $300. Would give it another try but overall pretty average.

Sushi and a roll to share

When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, there was only one other patron dining so we had our pick of seats. The interior is dark wood with ample lighting and large floor to ceiling windows that let in more light. We recved the menus and were told they only had lunch specials during the week and that there was a $3 surcharge for any dish that contained bluefin tuna. The menu is not inexpensive but we decided to stay and try their fare. We each ordered a small plate of 6 pc sushi and shared a roll. Although the surcharge thing left me irritated, I will acknowledge that all of the sushi was exceptionally fresh and properly sized portions. In the end, it was an expensive but very tasty lunch. Will go back but likely during the week. Suggest incorporating surcharge into price.

There are many sushi places around town, but this one was unique and not because of the menu but because of a great team that takes care of you at this sushi restaurant. We joined our friends who are regulars, and we sat and were taken care of by Megan, who knew everything our friends would order, and she made some amazing suggestions of items. We went with all Megan suggested, including Thier special Miso soup with cut dumplings and tofu in it, side salads, and steamed gyoza and edamame. Each was a great start to our meal. Then, the staff stopped off and dropped off many of the rolls we ordered. We shared a No Name roll, Very Sexy Hamachi roll, and Ocean Ridge Roll. This place had inside and outdoor seating, and the staff made us feel at home. Differently a place we will be back to have a wonderful meal!

Gotta say - I haven't been impressed the past couple times I've been here. The sushi is decent but the prices just keep soaring without any extra bang for your buck. We waited a long time for water refills (pet peeve) and make sure you bring an extra .75 for spicy mayo. If you need a close sushi spot to satisfy a craving, give it a whirl but if you have time to seek out a better option, I would.

Great food! Sushi roll I got was great. Had the perfect ratio of crunchy, cooked, fried yummyness on the seaweed and the rawness of the sushi. There is good service and the employees are very kind. The atmosphere was small but cozy, I like it a lot. I would definitely come back!

Went to sushi Simon with a friend, the food was good however, expensive for the portion size. Unfortunately, being a vegetarian there weren't many options to choose from and with the items available, I was unable to get substitutions. The food I did get, the spring rolls, I enjoyed, they were served warm. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza that gets packed. So finding parking can be difficult at times.

Wow! What a disappointment. First time trying sushi Simon and will be the last. The service is SO slow even though there was no one in the place. The owner was arguing with a caller most of my lunch. The fish actually is fresh and tasty but the portions are tiny. I left hungry. Which never happens at other sushi places. The prices are high for what you get. Another thing that upset me is that charged $2 for tamari. Sorry I can't have gluten....what a joke.

Excellent service from Sisco Excellent food from the kitchen…read more Excellent drinks from the bar. What more to say? The greeting from our server set the tone and standard for the evening. The lobster appetizer was phenomenal. The chicken oysters, I personally don't see the hype there but the potato served with them is both the crispiest and the softest potato I've ever eaten. The short rib entree with mole sauce was as tender and flavorful as can be. The local jerk swordfish was cooked perfectly and everything on that plate together created wonderful bites. Cornbread dessert was my choice, I love cornbread and that hit the mark with the blueberry compote and ice cream. One nitpick, and this is absolutely a nitpick. The string lights that hang down the wall to the tables are filthy. So dirty they looked like twine rope. Now that didn't change my experience or make me question the cleanliness of the kitchen at all. That food was perfect. And I wouldn't lower my rating .1 because of it I would go back to driftwood more frequently if my schedule fit their hours better, this place is top notch. Make your reso and enjoy We had 4 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 entrees, 1 dessert. Shared everything. Bill with gratuity was about $270. It was worth every penny.

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

If you are looking for the quintessential Boynton Beach dining experience, Two Georges Waterfront…read moreGrille is absolute perfection. Tucked right on the Intracoastal Waterway, this local staple delivers on every front: incredible views, fantastic drinks, and top-tier seafood.  The Atmosphere: You can't beat the location. Sitting under the thatch roof, sipping a cold drink, and watching the boats glide by encapsulates the ultimate laid-back Florida lifestyle. It's vibrant, breezy, and effortlessly fun--complete with great live music and the classic bonus of watching people feed the catfish off the docks!  The Food: Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. The Maryland Crab Cakes and the fresh local seafood are absolute standouts, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don't skip out on an appetizer like their fresh fish dip or conch fritters, and make sure you save room for a slice of their house-made Key Lime Pie to finish the meal.  The Service: Despite being a busy waterfront hotspot, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and keeps the tropical cocktails flowing. It wasn't too hot, which was nice, so we could take in the views. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu has a little bit of everything. We all ordered something different to try, and the crab cakes appetizer was everyone's favorite. They were full of crab and so tasty on a bed of arugula. I got the blackened mahi sandwich, which was good, but a little dry. My husband got the burger, which was slightly overcooked, but still good. We had both sweet potato fries and regular fries as sides. The regular fries were just okay, but the sweet potato ones were better in my opinion. We enjoyed our meals even if they weren't the best, and the service was great. We ordered 2 servings of pork belly and 1 order of the pork & beef gyoza…read more First off, the napa cabbage kimchi was REALLY good. It had a lot of flavor but was a little less spicy than what I'm used to. I normally love spicy food, but honestly it was a nice change. My mom tried the radish kimchi too and said it was really good. We used to go to the Lauderhill location for about 4 years before they closed, and their kimchi was THE BEST, so we definitely had something to compare this to lol. The kimchi here had a very similar flavor and honestly that alone made us happy. I'd come back just for the kimchi. The servers were really nice and even put the first serving of pork belly on the grill for us. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, and they do have lettuce wraps too, they're just not shown in my picture. The pork & beef gyoza were delicious too. They do have vegetables inside as well, and I'd recommend asking for them extra crispy. They come with a sweet sauce instead of soy sauce, so if you want soy sauce just ask them for some and a little cup. Something that surprised me was that they have chimichurri here. The Lauderhill location was more traditional, so I wasn't expecting that at all, but I gave it a try and that thing was DELICIOUS with the pork belly. All of the banchan we tried were really good too. The food in general tasted very authentic and had that real Korean flavor we were hoping for. After going to the Lauderhill location for so many years, this was probably the biggest thing for us. The owners have definitely managed to make the food taste like a little piece of Korea. One little thing I noticed once we stepped inside was the display by the counter with Terra beer, different kinds of soju, and Milkis. There's also a nice drawing toward the back with the Korean flag. We drove about an hour to come here and honestly we'd do it again. After going to the Lauderhill location for 4 years, we were really hoping the food here would hit the same way, and it definitely didn't disappoint. Worth the drive.
