Stopped in here on a Saturday mid-afternoon for a late lunch, and there was only one other occupied table. That didn't deter me -- we'd ordered takeout from here once before and the food was good. We were greeted immediately and could choose where to sit, so we grabbed a booth on the side and were given menus and water. I like the variety on the menu -- they have Thai, Laos, and sushi dishes. I was in the mood for Thai food, so we started with the papaya salad, and I ordered the pad kra pao, while my husband went with the green curry with chicken and vegetables. The papaya salad was plentiful and delicious, with the perfect amount of lime and fish sauce. The pad kra pao was also great and came with a fried egg -- it was slightly overcooked (not as runny as I like over my rice), but the dish was still delicious. My husband's curry was also delicious, flavorful, and thick, with plenty of chicken and veggies over white rice. It was great! I may have liked his better than mine, haha. We like spicy food, so we ordered it hot, but next time we'll go hotter. The servings are generous, and we left full! I'll be back. They have lunch specials until 3pm and a lot to offer on the menu, plus beer and wine. Inside is spacious with plenty of tables as well as sushi bar seating, and they have a few TVs too. Had to leave a star to post review, doesn't deserve one. Heard about this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. Called 3 times in a row and somehow my calls got disconnected every time after someone answered. We had a really good lunch here. I'd read a previous review and bookmarked the place. I was especially intrigued by the fact that it was a combo of three cuisines -- Laotian, Japanese, and Thai. The restaurant has only been open since Valentine's Day and is still getting sorted. I'd looked at the menu and thought I'd try their duck ramen although the lao street food ribs looked great. When we arrived -- there's a large parking lot out front -- as it's in a shopping center, we were greeted by Abby our server. We chose a front booth. They also have tables and a long sushi bar. And a small sake bar. They offer a lunch menu at very reasonable prices plus their full regular menu including a page of Laotian street food offerings, sushi, soups, Thai favorites, etc. Etc. I wound up getting one of their lunch specials as did my husband. They include soup or salad. We both chose salad. The only glitch was that they started to serve my entree before our salads. Realized the mistake. The salads were ice cold and had carrot ginger dressing on them. They were a good "appetizer". For my entree, I got the Bangkok noodles dish. This was a basil sauce with onions and green and red peppers and lots of minced chicken. Everything was on top of medium size long egg noodles. It was very good. My husband got one of their sushi combos. It was an 8 piece California roll along with 3 pieces of sushi and 6 pieces of sashimi. It was prettily served in a small wood sushi boat. My wife directed us here after reading a fellow Yelper's review. Her original intent was the Duck Ramen but changed to one of the lunch specials. I had a Sushi Boat "D" LUNCH special which included salad, California roll, Sushi and Sashimi, all beautifully arranged on a Sushi Boat. A small Sake for only $6 was the perfect accompaniment. This is my new favorite restaurant. The volcano chicken is amazing, but so is everything else I've tried. My wife had the panang curry and said that it was the best she's ever had anywhere. The sticky rice with jackfruit and the pumpkin custard were delicious, as well. The restaurant is clean and well lit, with pleasant music and impeccable and friendly service. It's the type of place where the owner makes sure to greet you and you leave feeling like you've not only had an excellent meal but also made some new friends. read more

Tried a new cuisine and I couldn't be more excited. I was in the area looking for some Asian food and saw Masa just opened. They have Laotian food that I never tried. Many Thai places include sushi as well in South Florida but adding Laotian is unique. I went for an early dinner on a Friday and the place was quiet but there were a few tables occupied. Upon entering, Su received me and immediately seated me and when I told her I don't eat beef but wanted to try some Laotian food, she recommended me this Khao Piak Sen Traditional Lao chewy rice noodles. I took a first tasting of the soup and fell in love. The broth was just so flavorful. Su brought me hot sauce and chili oil on the side for extra kick but the broth was good as is and I didn't need to add anything. The noodles were smooth, chewey like tapioca balls and she told me that they differ from the Udong noodles as the style of preparation is different plus they specifically use Laotian rice which gives that unique taste. The owners have been in the restaurant business for 46 years and they closed a restaurant in Boca and opened this Masa. Su is so enthusiastic and guides you like a grandma. She is the sweetest lady ever. Come for food but enjoy her hospitality. read more

We got a JB Roll and two Spicy Tuna roll. I was asked whether I wanted the tuna rolls regular or inside out. Neither the menu or waitress mentioned a price difference between the two so I requested it the way my son was used to eating them. Inside out, as it comes in other sushi restaurants we have frequented. When the bill came there was a $2 charge per inside out roll. While not world ending it seems like nickel and diming and something that you should know when ordering. The waitress was great. The restaurant was nice and clean. The sushi was fresh. read more

The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the restaurant was immaculate. We ordered specially off of the Thai/Lao street menu because I've never had Lao food and wanted to try it. We got 5 dishes and they were all great. The restaurant was mostly empty but immaculately clean, because they are new but it's a place that I will definitely go back to and everyone should try. I have posted some photos but most of the dishes I already ate half of before the photo because I couldn't wait to try. Also not included in the photos was the pork belly that was the best pork belly I've ever had and I've had a lot. Definitely give them a try. We wanted to try someplace different tonight. At first on the way there i wasn't sure. Now that changed as soon as we arrived. We were greeted by a very friendly staff as you should be. We were quickly seated and given out menus. We placed our order and when it arrived I was happily surprised the food was all cooked perfectly and tasted better than all other Thai restaurants in this area. The restaurant is clean and nicely appointed. The waitress was young and knew all about the menu. The food was not spicy and not very tasty. Being Thai and Laotian, my guest and I were amiliar with spicy food with lots of vegetables and barbecue that are saucy and tasty. These were bland and safe for tourists. I ordered the pork rib soup, fried spare ribs appetizer, and the kang no mai bamboo stew, They all remind me of my favorite Thai restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale (Larb). We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Tofu Pad Si Ew and a Shrimp Tempura sushi roll-for delivery. Everything was delicious- but they forgot to put the Tofu in the Pad Si Ew. We tried this restaurant when we saw it opened. It looked very nice. We ordered a couple od Loasian appetizers Crying Tiger Loasian Sausage. WE also got a roll Red dragon. All of it was delicious. The Crying Tiger beef was very tough, but the dipping sauce was fire. I could drink that sauce. The sausage was very nice and the sushi was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back! read more
