Overpriced for very minimal options. Every other conveyor belt sushi we've been to the belt was filled with options and this one you had to wait forever to see what the next item was. Very underwhelming and very overpriced. read more

I love sushi and the idea of a conveyor belt element to serve you is so convenient. I thought it was a bit odd that the spacing between the conveyor belt and the tables seemed a bit far. It's reachable, but I feel like it could be closer. The sushi and food itself was okay. It wasn't anything amazing or special. It seemed quite limited and not the greatest of quality. It was a bit pricey compared to other sushi conveyor belt restaurants, too. The service with the staff was fine. They did their best to attend to customers quickly. The restaurant is located in a plaza, so parking isn't a big issue. It was clean inside, didn't need to use the bathroom so not sure how those are. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I don't think I will be coming back. read more

I have been coming here for years and each time has always been great! Right off the freeway by the Tacoma mall and lots of easy parking. As of recently, seeing their conveyer belt off and limited hours has been a little disappointing, but the food still tastes the same and they have not raised their prices I believe. I usually stick to the usual cali rolls, shrimp tempura rolls and creamy scallop/shrimp rolls which are yummy but I can't speak to the more advanced types of rolls that contain more seafood. Special mention for their chicken katsu roll and tamago! The service is very good and we got our food very quickly. If you are looking for a casual sushi place and nothing fancy, this is the place to go. I hope business gets better and they can turn on their belt again, makes for a fun experience. read more

Only stopped here because I needed to charge my car. Didn't think I'd be spending $71 with tip on just dining for one. Not to mention mediocre quality of sushi, small portions. Anything with fish is $4-5 per plate that has 2-4 pieces of sushi. Not to mention they cut the fish very thin. Change you $3 for bagged green tea. Last time I come back. Just outrageous. So many of the lights don't even work as well. They spend more money on security cameras than light bulbs. Sad. read more

I've always driven by this place on the freeway, and we finally went in for valentine's lunch. They are very child friendly, so I suggest it for families and those who have kids they need to feed. The menu explains everything they have on the belt, can make, and offer. We ordered two plates because my one year old was ready to go after that. We ordered a California roll and a spicy tuna roll. The spicy tuna roll is exceptionally delicious! The timing of sushi is fresh and it seemed like each time they were placing new ones out. I would have ordered the 5$ udon if I had time, which I probably will next time. The reason I give them 3 instead of 4 stars is because their color coding for plates between pink and purple need to be more distinct. Also the size of avocado in the California roll was way too small! read more

WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too expensive. My god. My brother and I came here for a quick bite while our car was charging. 4 plates for each of us came out to $44. The salmon nigiri was the same quality as buffet sushi. (Specifically Harvest buffet sushi). We left even more hungry than when we arrived. The place was dead inside too. Will never come back. read more

So disappointed. I've been on a sushi craze the last couple weeks and have had some really great fresh sushi and this place did not meet that standard. Compared to the other conveyor belt sushi places in the area - this place is overpriced. To get anything moderately decent off the belt you need to spend at least 3 dollars per plate. I also always have a few staple plates I have which are spicy tuna roll, salmon nigiri, unagi nigiri, ikura, and tobiko.. the rolls are so thin! And they only give three pieces instead of the standard four. And another thing...they told me when I ordered the ikura they didn't have any! Is this place a sushi joint or not? I'm not ordering some kind of exotic fish not listed on the menu...I left pretty hungry and spent more on plates that were mediocre. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Great service, decent variety of rolls, but the price is a bit excessive. I feel bad giving a 10% tip, but I didn't want to hit triple digits... the plates added up to ~$70; total was about $90. Way too expensive for the quality of food. They barely had any rolls and everything was room temp which isn't great when your trying to eat raw fish. read more

This place kind of sucks. The sushi is boring. No actual nigiri or sashimi. Their rolls are over $5 for 2-3 pieces and they're just unappetizing, Plastic folding tables don't match the overdone decorum. Charging per can for soda is another warning flag. I've been here a few times over the last 10 years and I always regret not going to Forever Sushi or anywhere else. 2-stars only because I'm not sick (yet). read more

A must try if you are in the are. Best sushi bar I've been to by far. Fire crunchy roll is a must. Great service. I definitely recommend it.

I came here with my cousin and her kids, which she has brought them before, and they liked it. They weren't doing the conveyor belt, so you just order off the menu. I felt like there weren't as many options on their menu compared to other conveyor belt sushi places. They at least had my go-to, which is the spider roll, which I thought was just okay. Maybe it's due to covid, but I felt like prices were a bit high for what you get and for this kind of sushi. I tried some of my cousin's sushi, and it was nothing great. read more

My fiancee and I stopped by during a road trip from Bellingham to Portland. Of note the closing time on Yelp says 9PM but they actually close at 8PM. It's certainly one of the nicer Kaiten Belt sushi restaurants I've been too. The interior is wide and open with booth and bar options. Staff was friendly despite us walking in within the last hour. The sushi itself was good. Salmon nigiri still felt fresh despite being at the end of the night. My one disappointment was the price. The plates start of at a pretty reasonable $1.75 however, as we found out, that quickly rises to $3.75 and $6, with a majority of the plates at that $4 mark. Personally I think the food is decent but certainly not worth the cost. read more

I feel I should have read the reviews before I came here. A few things: - The revolution wasn't on, so there is temporary tables and lawn chairs. Not a bad thing, but weird because you would expect to sit around the revolution. - The portions were bad and the taste wasn't what I expected. I was trying to save face since I was there with kids, but it was incredibly disappointing. This place used to be better than paper cups for tea and small plastic cups for water. My friends used to go here all the time and I don't see why. - The service was good, but the overall experience was bad. We have some feedback to the server and I hope he ended up actually passing along our feedback. One of the kiddos wanted a sushi plushie but we tipped and left, since we didn't want to give them any more money than we had. (We'll just order one online). Unless there's a massive overhaul, not coming back. read more

My fiance and I just moved here from CA. I was so excited to see Tacoma had a revolving sushi place. The one in CA we used to go to had good sushi and a fun point earning screen to count your place score to earn points. It was amazing. Unfortunately, our experience here was far from that. This place looks and feels depressing with plastic tables, nothing fun about it. The food was no good and way more expensive than the one in CA (which is crazy because everything else is cheaper in WA). I feel bad writing this because the employees, maybe even the owners, were so kind and I never leave bad reviews, but it was really a very disappointing day. My fiance and really felt like it was worth maybe 1/4 of the price we paid. I don't know if this place is planning on making improvements, and they just don't have the money yet. If so I hope an investor can help them. Otherwise, they should consider just becoming a normal sushi shop and focus on improving the menu. read more

Tried again while car was charging and we were hungry. Prices are insane now. Tea used to be free, now $2.85. Prices of all dishes have gone way, way up and portions of fish are minuscule. The one upside was service was good. This is definitely one to miss. read more

My go to spot for sushi (and other items). Only because it's close to the mall, never has too many people and they serve other dishes besides sushi. I grabbed a seared tuna off the belt. It was very dry and tasted like it's been on the rotation for a while. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. I let them know it didn't taste very fresh and I didn't want to finish it. They told me that it was fresh and that we shouldn't grab anymore of that dish since it was all the same batch. I said that's fine and continued my meal. Not even 5 minutes later, the server asks to close my ticket. I told her I wasn't done and pointed at the plates that were just taken off the belt. She then told me that I couldn't sit where I was sitting... the spot I had been sitting at and served at since I arrived. I told her to go ahead and close my ticket then left. 0/10. read more

So, this was my boyfriend's first experience of belt sushi. We actually live in Bremerton, but this was the closest place to us that had good reviews. I've been to a handful of belt sushi restaurants, and one of the things that I love is the freshness of the product, especially when it's busy. We got to try a plethora of things. This, of course, is one of the best things about belt sushi. You can try a little bit of everything, and if you find something you like you can order more of it or just look for more on the belt! This particular restaurant was awesome. The lovely young lady that got our tea and our soup was very kind, courteous and speedy. If I have another hankering for a belt sushi I will definitely return here. You really can't beat the quality and experience for the price. Two people, including soup and hot tea in addition to our items from the belt was less than $50 with tip. read more

I have always loved conveyor belt sushi places, even tho when I go to them I never expect much, I just find them enjoyable. I was kinda skeptical because of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I've seen a lot of comments about the price, but the prices are standard from what I've seen-pretty sure the same as every other one. The food was good, accompanied by even better service; everything seemed very fresh, they would always check up on us at the perfect time and didn't over do it. ~very very nice. The tables are the like plastic party tables but I didn't mind, if it works it works ^^ one of the better conveyors I've been to! Would happily come again read more

Don't bother. First, they don't do the revolution, which is a pretty good indicator that there's not enough business to make it sustainable. Second, and probably the first thing you notice is the cheap temporary tables and chairs (maybe they don't plan on being around long?). The menu is lacking, and the hours suck. There's plenty of decent to great sushi around. No need to waste time here. read more

Conveyor belt sushi. Typically fresh. Plenty of seating usually. Not a ton of variety on the belt typically. But they'll allow custom orders of you buy the whole roll (like 3 plates) But- recently the roll slice width & portions are getting smaller as well as prices per plate went up 25cents- since we were in a few weeks ago. We also noted that the raw items like salmon, squid and tuna etc sushi plates went from yellow ($2.25 plate) to a pink plate ($2.75) so not only the increase of the quarter per plate, but moved onto a higher plate cost all together. read more

This is one of my favorite sushi places! It has a conveyor belt, which is nice for when you're starving and you don't want to wait for your order to be taken. The sushi is almost always fresh, I occasionally have a visit that has questionable fish. My all time favorite from here is the Creamy Scallop. The best Creamy Scallop I've ever had. If you don't see a specific roll on the belt, you can order it. They will give you the requested roll, and usually put extras on the belt. One downside is the mochi ice cream. The mochi usually tastes old and frost bitten, causing the rice cake to be a weird crumbly texture. The prices here are also the cheapest conveyor belt prices I've ever seen. The people are always nice. read more

Way way way too expensive, the prices advertised on yelp are false. Pretty much $5+ for 2 pieces of anything

Probably the worst sushi place we have ever been too. Extremely over priced for the horrible quality of sushi made. The food tasted old like it's been sitting out for some time now.I'm surprised this place is still open for business. Now let's talk about the service we received. One of their employees were super sweet to us who helped check us out. As far as the other employees I can't speak much about them. I had requested for new sushi rolls which there are signs that say you can request for them. Instead of getting us new sushi, she pulls one from the belt and when we had asked if they were fresh she says yes. Clearly they weren't by the quality of every sushi we had tasted since we got there. when I had told her that I didn't want those she took them from me, rolled her eyes and went to talk about me to her other coworkers. When I had asked the sweet employee about ordering new sushi she had mentioned that the only way for me to get new sushi is by ordering at least 3 (when there are no signs saying there are any minimum requirements). Overall, our sushi experience here has been nothing but horrible! I would highly suggest no one come here due to the poor quality of food and even more so horrible customer service. read more

I stop here every few months, as I live in Olympia now. But every time I go, I get great service and I love the sushi. I can't get enough of the salmon skin roll, and salmon nigiri. I wish they had super white tuna, but that's really the only thing missing. I was here Oct 25 for dinner, and I didn't get the employee's name but he seems to always wear a beanie whenever I go there. He is so nice and checked on me often, always with a smile. SUSHI REVOLUTION, STEP SISTER OF THE INFAMOUS SUSHI LAND I begin to read everyones reviews and they all sound the same, boring. This place does not deserve a boring review people. Spoiling The Secrets of Tacoma Aroma. As you know everyone in the state of Washington talks about Sushi Land. Why? It's cheap and similar but something about it is better. Why can't there be a cheap and good spot with alot of selection. I never would expect to find myself on vacation and in Tacoma eating Sushi. My sushi spots are in Seattle but I've decided to be open minded to the taste of how others may prepare their raw fish. We pull up near Tacoma Mall and i did quick-judge thinking to myself "it's going to taste like that nasty Safeway sushi premade and stale". My friends forewarn me saying "it's not the best sushi but its cheap". If Blue C Sushi & Sushi Land come together they'd make Sushi Revolution. Nothing special about the conveyor belt, it just looks fun when food is passing by you 0.0001 miles an hour. The prices of each plate color is ridiculous cheap. VERY CLOSE BUT CHEAPER THEN SUSHI LAND and way better tasting too. Cheaper in a sense of their potstickers and deserts but sushi items are the same. Yes, I've had better sushi but this sushi was pretty good for the price you pay; quality of fish wasn't at its finest but it's fine enough!! Oh and for those who HATE soggy pot stickers, this is the place come. They make the pot stickers fresh and give it to you. Crispy pot stickers! I ate a good amount thinking i'd at least pay $25 at some pricy Sushi Spot but with my soda on the side the total of my individual order was approximately less then $7. This does not include a bite or two from my friends orders. - 2 plates of ebi (2 pieces per plate) $1.50/each - 2 plates of crispy pot stickers (2 pieces per plate) $1.00/each - 1 plate of tuna (2 pieces per plate) $2.00 - sprite If we didnt enter the premises 30 minutes before closing time, I'd probably would hae ate more. I tried their deserts too and pretty yummy and totally affordable. If you need a quick fix of your "finding nemo" come here and enjoy! - Food, delicious - Price, cheap-o!!!! - Service, oh point and they deserve a good tip - Ambiance, cute Will I be back? Of course, whenever the next time I find myself in Tacoma hanging out. Until then next review.... read more

Not going to lie, their portions are small but you get what you pay for right? I think people tend to get greedy and start rating low and get disappointed when they go to a conveyor sushi joint, look at the size of the portions and think THAT'S SO SMALL... I came here loooooongg time ago, probably when I was in my high school years... (about 4-5 years ago). They had pretty bad... sushi... yep... and somewhat pricy in my opinion. I think the place has changed quite a bit, probably new management over the years too? It looked like their nigiri rice is made out of a machine... it looks rectangular and their fish on the nigiri is quite rectangular too! Once I looked at the fish... especially the albacore... eh... it is on the wimpy side. But, if it's only $2-2.50 I think I can manage. I ended up eating $19 worth of nigiri [1 roll] and I think I ate about 7-8 plates? I'd say that's not bad at all. Their salmon was shining wet and looked super fresh, ended eating 2-3 plates and I usually don't even like salmon nigiri! That says something for me. I had their Izumidai... thinking the plate was pink and was hamachi haha! Well that got me to try some fish I probably would have never eaten? It was alright. I didn't have their unagi nigiri... but it was on the SUPER small.... side.. wasn't worth it. The super white tuna was fresh and tasted meltable like it should in my mouth (: I randomly grabbed a Chicken-Katsu Roll... without even knowing what it was. I thought it was shrimp tempura? As I figured... it was super cold... meaning it was out for awhile. That's the only problem with revolving sushi places... they put dishes out that sit for hours... because no one eats them. By the way, my sister and I were the only ones eating for a good 30 minutes until some other groups came in and when we were leaving... more stuff came out! Darn. One of my favorites, was Salmon Tataki, my sister had two plates! It was great. I wanted to go all out and try different things I usually don't eat, but I tried the Ahi Poke? That was interesting. Diced tuna in a sweet spicy sauce... in my opinion, it was too salty. The place looks a lot more different- well it has been 4-5 years I guess. In my personal opinion, the place looks a little too roomy and big... for a conveyor place with not a lot of diners. Since their quality has gotten better... portions are ehh... I will come back when I am in the area(: read more

Bottom line: Strong choice for kaiten, best I've had in South Sound, for sure. Average plate is $2.50 (pretty standard for the area). Slightly above average selection. Everything was fresh. Not the best for groups (about 1/2 dozen booths, bar makes up the rest), so call ahead if you've got a gang. Plus they greeted everyone entering. That is very big in my book. Local kaiten (conveyor belt sushi) is a tough sell with me. It tends to be unoriginal and specious quality. What a pleasant surprise, then, to find Sushi Revolution. If you're into kaiten: I judge it just as good as Sushi Land or Blue C, but without Blue C's "ambiance". Fresher than Blue Island. My rating is definitely based on what you can find locally. Because we went early, we found quite a bit of nigiri on the belt. We tried half a dozen nigiri - all good. Poke was only so-so. Hot items were meh. Tips for the unitinitiated: Remember it's kaiten! You'll see lots of fried maki. Nigiri is scattered amongst hot items and maki - that's typical. You won't see the variety you find at a good sushi bar. Go Early! We were here first thing (just after noon) and the oft mentioned double rounders were plentiful and freshly laden - which is probably a major factor in why we had a good experience. Remember to order or ask for things you want! I had excellent uni, what a surprise. Only $4! Double surprise. You won't see uni on the belt! And many places will avoid your order - so be assertive with our requests! read more

I feel weird giving this 4 stars. The sushi is extremely simple (don't expect any exotic rolls here) and the atmosphere is open and comparatively barren. However, the prices are great -- two can fill up for $22. The fish portions are not generous, but fish that is there is deceptively flavorful. Service is what you'd expect from any sushi belt -- they'll take your order initially, check in with you once, and then disappear when you're ready to pay (presumably to encourage additional consumption). Overall, it's fast and a good value. Nothing exceptional. read more

This was my first experience with conveyor belt sushi. I'm hooked! Watching the plates revolve around is strangely mezmorizing, and being able to sample lots of different small plates is great for someone indecisive like me. My boyfriend and I ate 13 plates between the 2 of us (plates are priced between $1 and $3.50 each) and it came out to be $25 total for lunch. Quality was good for the price as well. I am pretty picky about where I eat my raw foods maybe it is because of the few times I have had food poisoning from eating at questionable places; anyhow I digress. We stopped in early on a weekday evening to a relatively empty place. The place is very large inside so big groups would be no problem in here. Anyhow the food was surprisingly good and the prices are even better. We compared them to the sushi place at the mall and found them way cheaper. If you don't see something on the conveyor they will be happy to make something off menu. Clean inside, good service and good tasty cheap sushi, yeah we will definitely be back. read more
