Let me just start by saying, this place is AMAZING! My parents moved to the area this past summer, and every time I've come to visit them, I've walked past this place but had never gotten to try it. Tonight, I had a friend come in from Jersey and I finally got to try it. When we first walked in, it was so peaceful. It's quiet and everyone keeps to themselves. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. And last but not least, the FOOD! My salad and sushi were both amazing, the green tea was smooth and refreshing, and the fried rice was easily some of the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant. We went with friends for casual week night dinner. Both couples ordered sushi and sashimi for 2 for $82. The platter came with sashimi slices of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, nigiri, shrimp tempera roll and a rainbow roll. It was a huge platter with generous portions. At least 8-10 slices of each kind of sashimi and the rolls were very large. All the fish was super fresh and delicious. The dish could easily feed 3 people. I went into Sushi Ren this evening to get sushi for my son. I asked them how many pieces they cut the rolls into as my son is 6 and can't eat such big pieces. They said they would cut it into 8 pieces. They even printed it on the receipt. I got home and opened the package and it was 6 HUGE pieces. My son tried to eat one and almost choked. I called the restaurant requesting they send me a replacement and they insisted that it was cut into 8 even though I was literally holding it. The eel by itself was really crispy and flavorful, but it didn't add much to the overall roll. It would have been better to have to eel by itself since it was the standout of the roll. The staff at the restaurant were not only impatient, but they were pushy throughout the meal. During the course of an hour and a half there were fifteen to twenty times that they stopped by the table to either present the check, which we did not request or to stay are you done (there were numerous open table throughout the restaurant). I felt like the bothersome staff took away from the great sushi rolls and it was difficult to fully enjoy the meal with the constant rudeness of the staff. Customer service should be of upmost concern with all restaurant visits, I'm not sure if I'll go again since I felt disrespected throughout my meal. read more

I used to order from Sushi ran all the time and it was great. Tonight I ordered delivery and the tuna maki was inedible. The tuna inside the roll was cut up in different sized bits, some large and some small, a sign of leftover lower quality fish. What's more, the tuna was fishy and clearly not fresh. If you want super fresh and tasty sushi Sushi Ren is the place to go! I got my usual California Roll, two pieces of shrimp and two pieces of eel. I loved that the rice was fluffy and moist which is never the case when you buy sushi in a store. The eel was cooked to perfection. It was so tender and they topped it with just the right amount of sauce. I had the Shrimp Shumai for an appetizer. There was so much flavor. They served it nice and hot and the vinaigrette sauce was a unique and delicious accompaniment. But what impressed me the most was the wait staff. I was on my own and they were very attentive. They took my order right away and a separate person stopped by to make sure everything was to my liking. A customer eating outside came in to give them a secret dessert order for her guest who was celebrating their birthday. Upon entering we could see it was a little busy but there were a few tables open, the host let us know it would actually be around a 20-30 minute wait, our one friend asked to use the restroom and while we waited we saw a table outside become available and asked another employee and without hesitation they sat us (all in a span of 5mims) so that was interesting. We proceeded to order with a very friendly waitress who even allowed my friend to charge her phone inside. All of our food was delicious by all accounts and hit the spot just right. My most recent time coming here, a group of us went to the front and asked for a table. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait so decided to leave. While we were walking out, another server informed us we could be seated immediately. This was odd and confusing to us as it shows there is a lack of communication between waitstaff.
