Just keep in mind voted the best sushi in town. I had the hibachi chicken and steak very delicious. Appetizers I recommend deep fried avocado tuna. They will let you know that some of the dishes are traditional and some have been Americanize. It is the owners who will serve you be patient and don't be rude. It's the reason why this place is so successful. They are leaders not bosses which makes this place feel more like its dinner with the family. They change menu so be prepared to ask questions. Invites Some friends let's say about 8 perfect for a big sushi platter. That's all. Chief The only lonely road to life are the ones you decide to endure.

Did sushi Saturday at home and after hemming and hawing over the options we settled on the Obama roll, two California rolls, a spicy California roll, and rainbow roll. We called to place our order for pick up and I accidentally asked for all the sushi to be in one box (I was trying to ask if they had yum yum sauce in a big container, but I get social anxiety and babble a bit...) but I won't complain cause I got this beautiful platter! Over all sushi was great, except I didn't like the salmon for the rainbow roll but other than that it was great! I didn't get yum yum sauce or if I did it's very gingery and thick in a mayo type consistency. Overall I'd return back here for take out again.

Hands down the BEST sushi in the area. When you go be prepared to wait for your food, it's going to be a bit of a long wait BUT the food quality is totally worth it. So again, plan to spend time here. Enjoy the salad and miso soup while you wait. Order one of the ramune sodas and enjoy intimate conversing time with whoever you go with. Any sushi you get you will not be disappointed. At this point I've tried almost everything on the menu: 007, super Mario, and so many more! The rolls are also VERY filling. You can even get keto options! Yes KETO sushi. Ask them for no rice and to be wrapped in soy paper ;) there you go keto sushi! If you aren't on a diet don't forget to save room for desert! The tempura ice cream or cheese cake are both excellent options! Again, this should be your number one sushi spot in the area!

Affordable. Presentation is great. The service is always outstanding, the waitresses always check in to make sure everything is satisfactory and will correct any mistakes right away. The food is always fresh and they honor almost any special request you may have due to allergies.

Loved it. We ordered a lot of food and nothing was not flavorful and good. Nice clean and service was pretty quick. Here from Cleveland but next time I'm in the D will come.

My friend and I decided to try Sushi Q for the first time and we enjoyed it! I got salmon on the beach which was delicious (they didn't skimp out on the salmon). For the price, the quality is pretty good. My friend chose the obama roll and she loved it. Our waitress was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our food either. We'll definitely be back!!

Their food is absolutely amazing, i get the special rolls every single time. my favorite is the derby roll. i got the bento box and it's not going to be my order every time. and the service is above and beyond.

Super cheap was able to get 3 rolls and two miso soups for $22. Just moved into a new apartment and had it delivered. Fast delivery, packaging wasn't the best. They put the miso soups on top of the sushi. Which equaled warm sushi. After a little time in the refrigerator had to keep unpacking anyway, we enjoyed our lunch.

To be honest this is the first and only Sushi place I go to. It is always made perfectly. Everytime. There is no need to try the rest, this is my best.

We stopped in after the dinner rush with friends a couple months ago. The place was fairly empty. One lone sushi chef. A waitress with so many kandy bracelets that I thought I traveled back to 2003. A lot of LED light fixtures. The server was young but very friendly. A little forgetful. We had to ask a couple times for things like miso soup or chopsticks or our bill. Miso and salads took forever after ordering. It set our expectations for the visit. I checked my Google Timeline and it said we were here from 7:21 until 9:12. Two hours for a basic sushi meal with no fanfare. Once we finally received our soup, we waited for our rolls. And waited. At least we were with friends and could laugh about it, but it took almost an hour for our sush to come up in a pretty slow restaurant. And this wasn't a complicated order. Four people, about 10 rolls total, ordered exactly as they come on the menu. The server kept coming by to say it'd just be a few more minutes. Over and over. Once received, everyone seemed to agree the rolls weren't great. I wasn't impressed with the flavor or the construction of the two I ordered. A couple others on the table fell apart. One was served with fish sauce, even though the menu didn't mention it. Overall, sloooowwwwww visit. Okay food. Friendly service. I'm not Downriver often enough anymore to know if this is the best in the area, but it's not anywhere near as good as my favorite sushi place in Dearborn Heights -- Oyaki.

It sounds great but is it true they don't open until 5pm? No lunch?

I am sorry that it's kind of late update, but our hours has been changed for a while that we don't close for break between 2-4:30pm any more. Please look at our new busines hours for your references. Thank you.

Luckily, the waiting area on the inside by the bar opened up. This place has a sushi bar in one corner and the rest of the restaurant does teppanyaki. Our whole party sat together at one of the teppanyaki tables. There was a chef in the middle of our table that cooked all our food for us and put on a show. I love how he made a volcano with the stacked onion slices and lit it on fire. For our appetizers we got their specialty sushi roll of the day. I forgot the name of it, but it was so good. It had real crab and it was deep fried. Our hibachi combo meals came with clear soup, house salad, veggie medley and fried rice. I got the shrimp and scallops $30. The hubby got the chicken and filet mignon $30. I'm used to having miso soup at these places, but this place had a clear soup, which was ok. The food was good and the proteins were fresh. I loved the scallops. My only complaint was the butter. OMG, huge scoops of butter for everything that he cooked. I could see my arteries clogging. They gave us this dipping sauce that was to die for. I think it was called yum yum sauce. I could put that sauce on everything, lol. We had fun and I would dine here again. Just please use less butter.

Gwen said she would try and she and the kitchen came through!! Gwen also said if we needed more do not be afraid to ask. We were satiated with those 6 or 7 wings. Unfortunately we only bought my wife a soft drink and our bill was $117 and the raffle tickets are every $40 spent so we only received two of them for three of us. Nyla was great as I could not find pepper on the sauce bar to season our hangar steaks. Nyla went into the kitchen and grabbed some for me, as well as adding an equal amount of salt to the sauce bowl as I wanted both for seasoning the meat. Lina, at the front desk, helped out with questions about the raffle tickets, the snow crab legs free special on April 15 their one year anniversary of the Taylor location being open. Gwen was great and kept us in clean grills, brought extra butter for our hangar steaks as requested, and kept our pitcher of water filled. She had two mishaps right beside our table. First she accidentally spilled a cup of ice for us ( her tray had a LOT on it ). Later replacing it she dropped a second cup of ice water next to me as well. Gwen said she bragged to a coworker she had not dropped anything for a long time after the first mishap recently. I regaled her about when I bragged I never spilled my giant 64 ounce Speedway cup wedged between my front seats to a coworker. That day and the following two days it spilled three times. I told her it was GOD's humor to our pridefulness. So when she spilled the second cup, I managed to refrain from saying she was due one more spill. I hope she does not have a third spill today nor soon. Anyway, the food is top notch as always! This is our home KPOT! Anqi is great as always too.

Reservations required for 10 or more people. A table fits up to 8 people with two grills to share among 8 people. No worries since there was only 5 of us the day of, additionally they didn't end up reserving us a table. Everyone at the table must get the same thing, BBQ or BBQ and hotpot together. Gwen waited on us. There is a $10 upgrade for the dinner meats and protein (marked as red under the protein selections). What a bummer!. A lot of the meats and protein items my team wanted are only available at the dinner time menu, unless you pay the extra $10 per person, a premium for it. None of my team wanted to pay the dinner price for a few premium meats. The iPad is used for ordering your meats and vegetable and rice, easy to used. Cart order shows as $0. Place order and items takes about 5 minutes to come out on a cart. The soybean paste as well as the sesame oil with little pepper and salt is a good dipping sauce for your barbecue meat. The appetizers were not so yummy. It's only chicken nuggets, veggie spring rolls and fries. Some more of the Korean bunsik items would have been good. The banchans are so-so. The kimchi, cucumber, sliced radish, and radish chunks were just OK. The tofu skins were odd, I thought they were fish cake at first. They are not. Our grill had to be replaced a few times, additionally the vent hood wasn't working properly. We were inundated with smoke at times. Gratuity of 18% is added for parties of 5 or more. Spicy chicken was decent, sinewy and gristly though. Pork belly and bulgogi was ok. Calamari was so-so. The garlic shrimp was good. Prefer Korean BBQ restaurants, the buffet bar is good for the dipping sauce for the hotpot, but not a lot of good apps or fruit options for me.
