Empty sushi plate and use chopsticks - the sign of a DELICIOUS meal that was so good I forgot to take a photo of the food, haha

Sushi Plus is a true gem! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the customer service is something special. It has that small-town warmth that makes you feel like family every time you walk through the door. The restaurant is quaint and always clean. The location has great natural air flow and a very calm, sweet decoration style. I feel very comfortable coming in work clothes or casual attire. (But most often come for the more casual vibe.) As someone with celiac disease, finding a place that takes gluten-free dining seriously can be hard--but Karen, Yukon, and the whole team go above and beyond. They remember my dietary needs, take every precaution they can, and I have gotten sick. I always feel safe eating here, and that peace of mind means everything. (Of course there's always a slight risk as they aren't a dedicated GF facility.) ((Did I mention the food is delicious?!)) Thank you for your continued care, kindness, and amazing food! My husband and I look forward to our weekly dinner date nights here. **pic of an empty plate because it was SO good I didn't remember to take a pic beforehand ‍

I grew up in this area and always passed by but never tried it. Well I'm glad I finally did! Top notch customer service. Waiters make you feel so welcomed and are genuine about it. The garlic edamame was addicting. I got the crabby roll which was tasty. I also got tuna and salmon sushi. While the rice was kinda hard and not soft, the fish was fresh and was a good cut. The cucumber salad was refreshing. I love the traditional "back to basics" feel here, nothing too fancy like newer sushi spots. It's small and homey here. This will be my new go-to place for sushi!

Tasty Crunch Washington and Garlic Soybeans for the win.

My go-to sushi restaurant. Such a welcoming environment. My wife and I felt welcome from the first time we visited and continue to feel that each time we visit. Plenty of tasty sushi options with conscious staff of preferences and allergies. Somewhere you definitely should stop by and try.

Crunch Washington was perfect and the Hawaiian was so fresh and palate-cleansing

I've moved out of the area but just happened to be in town and was in the mood for great food and service. Still top tier quality! I was something of a regular before and I was greeted warmly. Ordered the cucumber salad to start then ordered the Washington, Hawaiian, Crunch Washington and baked lobster roll. OMG all so good! I miss this perfect little sushi place!

The staff was very attentive and good at giving suggestions. Sushi was good but the tuna seemed a little old. Bento box is so worth it! The place is great but maybe needs a bit of deep cleaning. It would be great if it could get a little face lift. Good for a local spot.

No, they do not offer "all you can eat" sushi. BUT, they have some of the best prices and the largest specialty rolls of anyplace else I have eaten! Great value, great quality and great service.

Did they close? Not open today, 12/14. :(

    They are closed on Mondays

Parking: Super easy lot parking right outside restaurant in a large shared plaza Service: Incredible - everyone greeted us when we came in, we were seated immediately, they were very on top of my water refills, plates were efficiently cleared after each course, they explained each course well, and there were no long gaps between courses. They even provided a candle on my mom's dessert for Mother's Day. I also appreciated them checking on our wasabi preferences in the beginning before our meal, as I usually forget until it's too late. Each detail made a big difference on our enjoyment of the meal. Really pleasantly surprised by how impressively smooth and well-run the service was. Food: Yellowtail carpaccio - ponzu sauce had some olive oil that went so well with the yellowtail Octopus cucumber appetizer - delicately sliced and was a refreshing bite with yuzu sauce Unagi chawanmushi - so well cooked with a depth of flavor incorporated into the perfect texture and unagi added another layer of flavor and texture that balanced it out Nigiri - grouper was tender, ocean trout had amazing flavor, amberjack more firm, striped jack also firm, seared halibut fin was my favorite with flavor and tenderness, and albacore with garlic oil was melt in mouth buttery Chirashi - made with the the same fish as the nigiri, the marinated ikura was especially delicious Dashi broth - great palate cleanser that was light but still seasoned well Housemade matcha ice cream with honey castella cake (so good) and a strawberry slice was a great way to end the meal. Overall, $58 for a high quality 7-course lunch omakase was filling and worth it. Really glad it was offered over the weekend as well, which was really convenient for a family meal without navigating work schedules. Definitely recommend a visit!

I went on a weekend for their lunch set tasting menu. Everything was executed well, though the dishes followed a very consistent flavor profile throughout the meal. While it was all very good and high quality, don't expect anything experimental or wild. You will probably want to order a few extra items a la carte to feel fully satisfied. At around $225-$300 for lunch for two, the price tag feels a bit steep for a midday meal, but you are definitely paying for quality ingredients and a tasting experience.

The Fountain Valley location opened in 2023 as part of Kei Concepts' growing collection of trendy Asian-inspired restaurants, helping establish ROL as one of Orange County's popular modern sushi destinations. Another great place to get a quick sushi fix. Great atmosphere for date night, but I'd probably wouldn't recommend going in large party since it's only bar seating(some might sit far away from each other). Their customer service is always on point and your designated roll chef knows how to fill up your taste buds. Furikake Fries - Skinny fries tossed with umami flavored bits. Hot, crispy and great for sharing. 5/5 Crispy Rice Tartar - Thinly diced salmon tartar on a bed of fried rice squares. Sweet and savory taste from the fresh salmon tartar and a crunchy exterior from the rice. Where hot and cold meets for the explosion of flavors. 5/5 Spicy Salmon, Hamachi, Unagi and lobster were all fresh tasing. Rice was not mushy and had equal parts to fish and rice. Portion size is not the best but you're paying for the quality over quantity, so expect a heavy bill if you have a big appetite. 4/5 Overall, it's a nice place to go to. If you're going during lunch or dinner rush hours, expect to wait 30-45 minutes so check in early if you can!

We could not tell the difference between regular salmon and the salmon belly nigri they brought us. It looked and tasted exactly the same. Definitely not fatty salmon belly. 3. The yellow tail belly was chewy. 4. All the fish in their nigri sushi were thinly cut with very little rice. Definitely all you can eat amount of fish. 5. The rolls were small and for some reason all tasted the same with little flavor. If you like all you can eat sushi places which always offer low quality fish, you might like this place.
