I'm going to be honest, I had my doubts but after yesterday and today I'll never again. Everything…read moreI was told about this place was true and then some! I was on the fence given my bad experience with restaurants that try to get fancy with its sushi, but this definitely surpassed my expectations. The environment has a nice small-town exterior (fitting for a restaurant in Downtown Dunedin) with a vibrant, cool, cozy interior with minimal lighting that's easy on the eyes. The service is pretty good and they do check to make sure you're enjoying what you ordered, which is a nice touch. In terms of mocktails, on the first day I had the Ginger passion tea which had nice presentation and was just the thing needed to wash down the fantastic spice of, which I sadly forgot to take a picture of, but alas...Next time...The second day I had the "Cucumber Chiller" which, I'll admit, didn't tickle my fancy too much as I'm not one for zest, but it's still a solid #2 on my list! I tried their Spicy Tuna Roll on both days, and much to my pleasant shock...They mean it when they said spicy. Much of their sushi menu appears to be a fusion of Mexican spicing and Japanese uramaki sushi techniques, which I never expected to enjoy so much! I definitely wish to experiment with more of their rolls next time. I also decided to try the pork fried rice, and my goodness, whatever pig they cut up for that rice may not have been able to fly but I sure felt like I was on cloud nine! The rice was crispy, soft, crunchy, flavorful and subtle all at the same time and when it needed to be. Mind you, the lunch portion alone filled me up almost! Just imagine what the dinner would do! Actually, don't imagine that. Just know you'll be good for the rest of the day! Then for desert I decided to try a slice of their Green Tea Cheesecake...Now, interestingly enough, I almost thought it was pumpkin due to the strange flavor contrast between the green tea base and the caramel drizzled. Not what I was expecting but it was still really delicious and I would eat it again in a heartbeat. You don't gotta be a Scorpio like me to be drawn to Pisces Sushi & Global Bistro, that's for sure! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dunedin...I guarantee you'll be Du"needing" more of this after one bite!

This is, without a doubt, the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. We sat on the front patio,…read morewhich has a great vibe and a afford lots of people watching. Our service was warm, friendly, responsive, and fun. Our party of four loved our selections. My favorite was the Mexicali blues roll. It was a perfect blend of savory and sweet... I think the suite came from bits of plantain chips. My husband had the volcano, which is a very substantial portion. It has crab meat and cooked salmon. It is worth noting that both these items are marked as spicy on the menu... I would not say they were spicy at all. Already looking forward to the next time we're in this area to go back and try more culinary delights!

Came here to celebrate a birthday w tiki drinks and snacks and it didn't disappoint…read more We went around the back to the tiki bar and there's lots of seats and tables. Id like to come back at night. We all ordered different drinks and everything was great. The menu lays it out clearly if the drink is spirit forward or lighter. We also tried the ahi poke, empanadas, and fries and everything was delicious. Our server was Andrew and he was very attentive, friendly and really went above and beyond. I'll definitely be back!

**** Review 173 ****…read more A few blocks from the center of town, sits this gem of a place. This place has different vibes in one place. The back area is 21+ only, and is set up like a giant tiki bar with lots of tables, and seating for large crowds. Has a corner stage, where they have life music on Fridays and Saturdays. Fun vibe and delicious drinks. The outside front of the house is geared towards family, more tables and a kid friendly area. Now, when you go into the inside area, is like walking into a 60's Hawaiian move set. Great music, awesome decore, and fun mural. The food was delicious, ordered the Mixed Plate which was really good. Huli Huli chicken, Kalua pork, sushi rice, and an amazing potato-mac salad. You need to get a side of Pele's spicy sauce to dunk your pork in. If you love spicy sauces, this one won't disappoint. Ordered the Humuhumunukunukuapua' a... have fun saying that to the server hahaha. Pan-seared Hawaiian fish, topped with grilled pineapple, over black rice, served with a side salad. The fish was red snapper, cooked to perfection. Also got an order of the coleslaw, which is sweet and had pineapple, very good. Drink menu is plentiful, including a large selection of Rums. The mixed drinks are rated by turtles, the more turtles the stronger the drink. The Zombie was strong and delicious. Definitely a must. If you're looking for a fun time, with a great staff, delicious food, and cool ambiance, then you need to stop in!
