EVERYTHING we had was great and so was the service AND atmosphere. We had the miso soup, sushi nachos, soft shell crab roll and causeway crunch roll.

An absolute hidden gem!! We have been on the search for the best sushi in Palm Harbor and we have found it at Seawhip. This is such a quaint and intimate spot, with the most personable and pleasant service. We truly felt like we were dining in someone's home in the way the staff got to know us. Even when they were busy, they took the time to talk us through the menu. The sushi itself was phenomenal. All rolls were very fresh and artisanal, there was no way to pick a favorite. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

My favorite in the area. The sushi is prepared with care. So fresh and one of the few (only?) serving real crab not surimi

Great vibes! And very clean!!! All of the STAFF have a great relationship with each other which is awesome to not have to hear the drama while at the bar. The COLORS are soft sea green/blue that puts you in the dining mood for a great sushi experience. The MUSIC is a soft house background music style that suits all ages. ---Style of Music is very important to me while I'm out. BEFORE YOU GO: Familiarize yourself with the How to Order in 4 STEPS. And be ready to be your own creative sushi chef while designing your roll. PORTIONS: ARE GENEROUS! See the seaweed salad in the pic? That is AFTER it was already enjoyed before the sushi arrived. WHY THE NAME 'SEAWHIP'? Yup, we asked. There is a coral that moves like a skilled ballet dancer along the sand under the sea. It is known as the seawhip coral. BEST NEWS! Seawhip Sushi Bar IS local and SUPPORTS local causes. So - go support them! Tell Jennifer that JJ sent ya.

I've been searching for a new sushi spot ever since Aki sushi in Oldsmar closed. I finally found it! The sushi was fresh and delicious made to order by the owner/sushi chef. The service was excellent and we enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the fish tank. We ordered 4 rolls-a yachtsman a honeymoon and 2 "make your own". It was hard to choose, which was our favorite because everything was fresh and delicious. We can't wait to go back!

This cute little gem was tucked away within the plaza closest to honeymoon island. My 2 friends and I decided to try it out for "girls night" due to the great reviews. When you walk in there's maybe 20 seats with the centerpiece of the restaurant being a large bar that showcased the amazing sushi chef and decent sized aquarium in the background. We sat down at the bar and were greeted immediately by the server. We told her it was our first time here. She suggested the honeymoon roll, which my friend ordered and looked amazing!!! Everything was very fresh and tasty. We even ordered dessert which consisted of a strawberry cheesecake roll which was AMAZING. They also have a beer/sake menu. It wasn't extensive but it got the job done. Based on the service alone I would come back. We went on a Monday and the place filled up very quick, our server was fabulous and personal. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

CALADESI COLADA

My gf and I were staying at a hotel right next door and love sushi and saw this place had good reviews so we decided to try it. We got 3 rolls. 1 was the slammin salmon definitely our favorite. I got the caladesi colada the flavors were spot on especially with the chutney. The last roll we made our own. We also had the option to make add chips it was the "mo tuna" option. I like that they had that option as well. Overall the meat to rice ratio was good. This place could sneak in to my top 5 places for sushi. Good vibes and good services as well.

Seawhip has been open a mere 7 weeks, but you would never know it! Staff is friendly, efficient and really makes you feel welcome. Cute, small sushi bar with a chill vibe. Pretty large fish tank sits behind the chef at work and we had fun watching the starfish do its starfish thing. Food is fresh and a great combination of flavors that meld together really well. Hubby and I started with Miso soup, a small edamame and an order of the Crispy Spring rolls. We then ordered the Yachtsman, the Honeymoon and the Rockstar rolls. The restaurant also offers you the option of building your own roll, which we will definitely try the next time. But for our first time we wanted to try the chefs creation. We loved sitting at the bar and watching chef Max at work and the torch crisping the waygu beef is definitely fun! Love that's it a nice casual place and can see it getting busy as beach goers leave Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands. This place is a repeat for sure!

Causeway Crunch Roll

So happy to finally have a sushi place on this side of town! We walked in and were immediately greeted by every staff member. Everything is freshly renovated and clean. The menu has some great options on it. I highly recommend the edamame with the garlic and ginger sauce for an appetizer. We sat at the bar so we got to see the sushi chef make our rolls right in front of us, which was pretty cool to watch. The rolls were both delicious, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients. I'd put this up against any other sushi place in Dunedin in terms of quality and taste. Very good, and reasonably priced. We'll be back soon!

I was on the fence given my bad experience with restaurants that try to get fancy with its sushi, but this definitely surpassed my expectations. The environment has a nice small-town exterior (fitting for a restaurant in Downtown Dunedin) with a vibrant, cool, cozy interior with minimal lighting that's easy on the eyes. The service is pretty good and they do check to make sure you're enjoying what you ordered, which is a nice touch. In terms of mocktails, on the first day I had the Ginger passion tea which had nice presentation and was just the thing needed to wash down the fantastic spice of, which I sadly forgot to take a picture of, but alas...Next time...The second day I had the "Cucumber Chiller" which, I'll admit, didn't tickle my fancy too much as I'm not one for zest, but it's still a solid #2 on my list! I tried their Spicy Tuna Roll on both days, and much to my pleasant shock...They mean it when they said spicy. Much of their sushi menu appears to be a fusion of Mexican spicing and Japanese uramaki sushi techniques, which I never expected to enjoy so much! I definitely wish to experiment with more of their rolls next time. I also decided to try the pork fried rice, and my goodness, whatever pig they cut up for that rice may not have been able to fly but I sure felt like I was on cloud nine! The rice was crispy, soft, crunchy, flavorful and subtle all at the same time and when it needed to be. Mind you, the lunch portion alone filled me up almost! Just imagine what the dinner would do! Actually, don't imagine that. Just know you'll be good for the rest of the day! Then for desert I decided to try a slice of their Green Tea Cheesecake...Now, interestingly enough, I almost thought it was pumpkin due to the strange flavor contrast between the green tea base and the caramel drizzled. Not what I was expecting but it was still really delicious and I would eat it again in a heartbeat. You don't gotta be a Scorpio like me to be drawn to Pisces Sushi & Global Bistro, that's for sure! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dunedin...I guarantee you'll be Du"needing" more of this after one bite!
