I usually visit Sushi Palace during my break from work. They often try to convince me to get the all you can eat sushi, but I know exactly what I want and have a limited amount of time. I don't overeat during lunch because my office job makes me sleepy if I'm too full. I typically order a Japanese soda along with a shrimp tempura roll. The rolls here are amazing, and the service is decent. I would like to come back one day to try other options. (Please fix the parking lot)

They are honestly the best. My boyfriend and I come here at least once a month ever since my friend recommended it to me. We have tried several other all you can eat sushi places in Connecticut, but so far this one is our favorite. It is a bit of a drive from where we live, but we never mind because it is always worth it. As soon as you walk in, you can see the sushi chef working and preparing the rolls, which makes the experience even better. The ambience can be a bit loud depending on the time you go, but it never feels dull. They always have great music playing, and the customer service is amazing. I personally love ordering the Yummy Maki specialty roll and the sushi pizza. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the fish is so smooth and buttery. My boyfriend used to prefer only cooked sushi, but this restaurant completely changed that. He always says that nothing compares to the freshness and quality of the food here, especially compared to other places where the salmon and fish can taste hard or dry.

We went to Sushi Palace for our first all-you-can-eat sushi experience, and we couldn't have been happier with our visit! We were impressed to find quality sushi despite it being "ayce", and they didn't overload the rolls with rice to try and fill you up quicker. Very clean place, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making for a smooth ordering experience. I would recommend this spot to sushi lovers, anyone looking to try all you can eat sushi for the first time, or even someone just starting out with sushi and looking to explore different rolls at a reasonable price!

We may live close to 40 miles away, but this is my family's go-to place for all-you-can-eat sushi and Japanese food. (The AYCE sushi places around us just don't compare.) The only uncommon thing is that the appetizers or small plates from the kitchen get all put onto one plate (similar to how all the sushi gets served on 1 platter); this makes for getting the sauces difficult, as they pour the sauces (like tempura sauce or teriyaki sauce on top). With the Crispy Calamari, it gets served with a (very) sweet mango sauce. Service is fine, and they're relatively quick. Although we usually have parking, the spaces around the restaurant are limited (especially on a busy night).

The food was pretty good for a sushi restaurant in town. I did the All you can eat option which is really a good choice if you're a big eater. The service was nice and they were mainly attentive.

We been here many time before, it's been 7years so we try to go back and see what's this place are into, we get in the place wasn't that busy, but it's summer no student around and locals can eat in the restaurants without reservation,, The food is good, fresh, but is not as good as I remember, I understand this is Eat all you can, but the quality and the presentation of the food you order hmmmm, ok .... And the ambience is ok.... I know this is Eat all you can, what do you expect, still very good quality of SUSHI, I can come back here again next time I'm Craving to eat Sushi...

3.5/5 -- The sushi here is surprisingly fresh and delicious for all you can eat. They have a fairly wide selection of salmon and tuna rolls which I appreciated and lots of side dish options as well. And honestly they were all very delicious The service was a bit slow and be forewarned, when my friend and I asked if they have gluten-free options, they seemed confused so we're assuming they do not have those options. They still let my friend sit with us as we had our fill our sushi though and did not charge her which was nice! My qualm, though, is that it is quite pricey for an all you can eat dinner of this caliber. We each paid about $38, including tax and tip, because dinner on weekends is pricier. If I am paying that much, I would've wanted more than just salmon, tuna, shrimp, and imitation crab, but at the end of the day it is all you can eat so if you eat a lot, you will definitely have your money's worth!

Sushi Palace is amazing! Don't be discouraged by the external appearance of this neighborhood -- Sushi Palace is an awesome spot with all you can eat sushi for one price. They have great variety and something for everyone, even non-sushi fans!

I went to Sushi Palace in Hamden last night, prior to going I looked at the reviews on Yelp, they're mostly 4-5 stars. I can't say my experience rated so great. This is an all you can eat sushi restaurant. They bring you little slips to mark your order. Several other places have the same system. We were a party of four. We first ordered four soups, edamame to share, and seaweed salads. Then the sushi. All their dishware and utensils, all of it, including the soy sauce container are disposable. The cups are the red cups that always remind me of playing beer pong in college. Presentation is not their priority. However, if the sushi is out of this world amazing, that's what matters. The seaweed salad came out in styrofoam cups, it was good, I just have a weird feeling sitting in a restaurant eating from plastic containers and plates. I'm not sure if this is a covid reason, or if they always did this. Or maybe they're having trouble with their dishwasher. Here is where the issue begins, two soups came out, two were never brought out. I asked the waitress, and to be completely honest I couldn't understand a word of what she said. I just let it go. I figured that's probably enough food anyway. The edamame also never came out. Then the sushi came out. The sushi comes out on a real plate, but it's covered in cling wrap. Also the plate with the ginger and wasabi is also covered in cling wrap. I have no words. Does this mean these plates don't get washed between customers? They just change the cling wrap? Guess what? I really hate to say it, but the sushi was no good. One of the rolls I enjoyed, can't say what it was called. But the rest of it was very bland and hard. The edamame arrived at the very end. I just don't understand, it was an appetizer. I didn't know you could go wrong with it. But now I know. It was so salty, unbearably overly salty. Anytime I'd try to get the waitress' attention with "excuse me" she would totally ignore me. I have to say she was good with drink refills. As soon as she did that she'd run. I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

Yes, they have all you can eat option.

Is this a safe place for those of us who are glutenfree?

None of the food was the proper temperature. I should have left, but when we brought this up to the staff, they pretended not to speak English. I switched first to Mandarin, then to Cantonese, and they literally turned and walked away. Sushi rolls were CRUNCHY because they had gotten stale from sitting so long. The fish was tangy like it had gone bad. The hibachi was fine, easily the best feature. Manager kicked us out not long after being seated because they said they didn't have enough customers and were closing. They didn't knock anything off the price, but we still had to leave. We tipped the sushi guy, the hibachi guy, AND our table waitress, and she made a comment about us not being generous enough, possibly because we gave the grill guy and sushi guy only $3 each, but c'mon. Completely ripped off, and have been suffering awful food poisoning for days now. Crazy levels of bad. I hate leaving 1-star reviews, but this place deserves it. We got our soup bases first, rice, then meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles, everything arrived quickly and stayed stocked. Service was great and our waitress Dana was nice. A few things were disappointing though: the grill wasn't centered on the table and kept turning off, which made cooking a little frustrating and cramped. This location also doesn't offer crab legs (even though we saw them online), which was a big letdown for my daughter. The sauce/appetizer station was just wack, the dessert area was really lacking no ice cream, only sponge cake and some stale looking popcorn. Dana did bring our table 1 cupcake, which was sweet of her. Overall, we had fun and left full after about 1.5 hours, (limit is 2) but the desserts, missing crab legs, and grill issues make me not want to return. The food itself was fresh and flavorful, though, and service was fast and friendly.

We arrived at Clam Castle and as I was about to get out of the truck my cousin text me the viral lobster roll at Supreme Seafood. I told my fiancé I want to go to Supreme Seafood. He said it's only down the street. We arrived and I was very excited. As we walked in we were greeted by the owner and the two young ladies at the counter they were very welcoming and iit was very clean inside. It's a very small establishment with a eclectic vibe and it was quite cozy. Our starters were clam chowder and I had the shrimp corn chowder. It was very flavorful and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. My fiancé ordered a full order of the clam strips with coleslaw and I ordered the $55.00 lobster roll with steak fries and coleslaw. They do have a $40.00 lobster roll which 4 Oz and $80.00 which is 16 Oz of lobster meat. The clam strips were fried perfectly and there is nothing better then tasting that fresh clam they were perfect. My lobster roll had 8 oz of sweet, succulent meaty lobster over flowing in perfectly toasted buttery roll. I had very huge pieces and there were some trying to escape the roll but I won that fight that lobster roll was banging. The new owner informed me that the original owners were there for 35 years. The new owner had been there for 4 years. I told him where I was initially going and he said they had a family that ordered their 2 foot lobster roll that cost a working $230.00. He showed us the lobster roll he prepared and what was left after the family of three which included two adults and a newborn baby. I will definitely return to try the 2 foot lobster roll.
