Excellent sushi spot in Greeley! Everything is made fresh to order in front of you. We chose 3 different types of rolls to share and were extremely satisfied with the quality and taste of all. We also ordered the teriyaki chicken for my son, great price for the amount of food he received. If you're gluten free, just ask-they've got GF soy sauce on hand and will advise which rolls are GF. I ordered an order for takeout, the Amber roll and Rose roll. I must say this was some of the worst sushi I have ever had. The rolls barely were together. They were impossible to eat with chopsticks and barely manageable with a fork. Flavor was subpar at best. Each roll was $15 bucks too for that price I expect the roll to at least stay together. I am utterly baffled by the high ratings for this place. My boyfriend and I visited Sushi One while stuck in Greeley visiting family, hoping we could find something decent. We only ate sushi, so I can't comment on any of their other options. Service was...odd. Friendly and rather attentive, but I couldn't get used to the idea of being served sushi by grubby college students. Miso soup was cold and watery. As for the sushi: you know the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words"? The menu pictures for their rolls say it all. Other than the basic rolls, nearly all their rolls are drenched in some sauce or another, and quite a few of them are deep-fried. This is generally a BIG red flag for me, since places that use lower quality fish tend to do this--and Sushi One is no exception. The quality of their fish was so bad that I worried I'd end up sick later on. Might be a unique option within Greeley, but come on--with so many AMAZING options less than 50 miles away, why settle for this garbage? read more

OMG - seriously, who would have thought there would be decent sushi in Greeley - (the opposite of Hawaii.) I have been coming to Sushi One for a couple years now, ever since I discovered this awesome joint back in undergrad at UNC. Sometimes, I find myself contemplating the drive all the way up there just so I can get some of their delicious food. Sushi One is has some pretty tasty rolls to smash any sushi craving in the teeth. My ultimate, ultimate, ultimate FAVORITE roll (it's gonna sound weird and unappetizing, but trust me on this one) is the cheesy tempura california roll! It is essentially a california roll (BORING, I know) - but get this! It is rolled in tempura batter (the entire roll) and then deep fried and covered with this oddly delicious cheesy soy sauce mixture. OMG! The roll sounds weird, but this is the roll I find myself craving the most. This place is one of the only places I have truly found deep fried sushi rolls - no, not tempura pieces inside the sushi - but the actual whole, entire roll deep fried! If you're looking for the more "traditional" sushi bites, they have those also, but it's not as fun as venturing out into the more non-traditional rolls. They also have a chicken teriyaki roll that is one of the better rolls I have had in that category. Honestly, I am a fan of every roll I have tried here. The service is always great. The food is always super fresh. And the best part is the price! Their lunch special is AMAZING - you can get two rolls for like $9 and three rolls for $11!!! Great deal. So. the next time you are in northern colorado and craving mouth-watering delicious sushi, consider stopping into Greeley to check this place out. The best Sushi in town. Gone back 11/3/2012 after the place has been shut down for almost 1 full year. The place was very busy and packed. Northern Colorado (and Colorado in general) is definitely not known for its sushi, however I feel Sushi One breaks this status quo. It's a cute little privately owned restaurant located right behind a Chili's (ugh). I have been here probably eight times and have never been disappointed -- the sushi is always fresh and I've loved each meal. My favorite items on the menu are the jalapeno roll, Alaskan roll, cheesy spicy tuna tempura roll, the caterpillar roll, and the ice cream mochi (dessert). Basically, mostly all of the specialty rolls are excellent including their sashimi. I mean, a lot of the time it's hard to go wrong with sushi unless it's not fresh, which is why I gave this place four stars instead of five. Sushi One is a wonderful place, however it's missing that next level to make it a five star restaurant. This would be an excellent date place in Greeley if you want to impress someone since it's probably one of the more unique places to go in town. read more

Best sushi in all of Northern Colorado. I lived in Greeley for college and I would order pick up at Sushi One at least once a week, now whenever I visit, I have to eat here. Lunch is particularly affordable, so this is the best time to go. The sushi is fresh and amazing, I love their soup as well. The dining room layout and sets are pretty awkward so I prefer the to go option, but definitely worth eating in as well. read more

Great option for sushi in Greeley. I always get carry out, and it is always prepared pretty quickly. One thing I like is that their sushi menu is separated into three sections: cooked, partially cooked, and raw. I'm not a big raw-sushi eater, so this is really helpful for me to pick out the ones I know I won't eat. I will say, the menu on their facebook page is way different than their menu in the restaurant. They should probably update that. I'll definitely return next time my business travels take me to Greeley! Note: They don't accept American Express... I rated this middle of the road as I didn't get the chance to try this place, but don't want to bring their rating down too much. I was in town for work and everyone I talked to said that this place was the place to go. Well they must not have been recently been as when I pulled up their was a sign on the door that there was a kitchen fire back in February 2012 and they were closed until further notice. The sign indicated they plan to re-open and their website does not state that they are closed. The place appeared to be gutted and in the process of having new drywall put up, but who knows how long it will before they re-open or they re-open at all. We are California natives that just recently moved to CO and we are sushi fanatics. Being that we are nowhere near the pacific, we were a little iffy in selecting a sushi place in CO. We found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a try. All I have to say is YUM. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the eel rolls, yellow tail, California, and vegan pumpkin rolls. All the rolls were rolled to perfection and were beautifully presented. I'm not usually a fan of vegan rolls, but the pumpkin roll was delicious! Definitely worth a try! Also, the spicy garlic edamame is a must have! I think we found our new go to place. read more

I ordered take out they took 20 minutes later than scheduled (ordered an hour and a half in advance). Employees seemed to avoid people that came in. Sushi was horrible, I think the rice is the most important part and it was very dry and a bit gummy. The nori was really moist and miso was the only good part. This place has the RUDEST staff. They are the most disrespectful people on Earth. They allow their employees to argue with customers. Asked for a drink menu to check a price and my server began to argue with me, after I walked in and caught her talking badly about me. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. SHE should lose her job. We waited for our drinks for 20 minutes after waiting 10 to even get a water. We were 30 minutes late back to work because of how slow our service was. It a small restaurant with some sitting outside. I like the restaurant. My plates were albacore sashimi, seaweed salad and a roll with co count shrimp which was really good.
