Enter Osaka Hibachi -- our new go-to Japanese steakhouse. It has everything you'd expect: great ambiance, a fun hibachi "show," a full menu with steak, chicken, scallops, and all the classics, plus soup, salad, rice, and veggies included. The flavors are excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive without hovering. And the price... incredible. Instead of $45+ entrées at similar places, my tenderloin steak dinner here is just $27 -- and every bit as delicious. Fantastic food, great experience, and truly affordable. The waitress who took us to our table did so with a very bad attitude. She placed the menus on a table located in the middle of the restaurant. Since I was with my one-year-old baby, I thought it would be better to sit at a table at the end of the restaurant so we wouldn't inconvenience people walking by or trying to leave. I politely and respectfully asked if we could move to the empty table at the end. She did not respond to me. Instead, she threw the menus on the table, turned around, and walked away while complaining to other waitresses and giving uncomfortable looks. Of course, I stood up with my family and went to speak to another waitress. I apologized and told her we were going to leave because the situation felt very uncomfortable. I explained why I had asked for the other table, and she responded, "Do you want the table or not?" As someone who works in customer service, I believe employees should be very careful about how they speak and behave in front of customers. My experience at this place today was horrible.

It took more than a few minutes to be greeted/served. The waitress didn't ask if we wanted any additional drinks. We were happy to wait for the ramen and the sushi, but my salad (which was removed from the bill after i asked) never came, and it was a 15 minute wait for a bowl of miso soup. By the time we ended up getting the soup, then another 20 minutes for the entrees, most of the restaurant had cleared out, and we were one of two tables left. The waitress never filled or asked to refill our waters, had to be flagged down to get the check, and took a long time to actually run our card. Didn't sit well with me. I understand there were only three on the floor, but if that is their standard lunch rush, they need to hire additional help. The food was fine. No one got food poisoning, but my party and I agreed we'd all had the same dish done better elsewhere. Had a huge problem with the sake descriptions as well. The one we got was described as "fruity and full bodied". Takes one sip and a google search to figure the main flavor is umami. I hope the next time I come to visit, they have picked it up, however, I doubt I will be making a return trip
