Sushi Menu

This is my second time here since moving to the area. The ambiance here is more upscale with dim lighting and a nice spacious interior. They also have patio seating available. Both times the food has tasted good and we got exactly what we ordered. The food does come out a bit slow (both time I have come were on weekdays so not sure how the weekend service would be). The servers we had both times were very nice and attentive and made sure our drinks were always refilled. We got the Sushi Dinner set. Very basic set, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, white fish and shrimp nigiri accompanied by a tuna roll. The nigiri is plain except for a bit of wasabi between the sushi and rice. We also ordered a rice free roll, Marry Me. It was very fresh tasting and goes well with the ponzu it is served in. We also ordered a few nigiri pieces a la cart: Whelk Conch, Scallop, Tofu Skin and Octopus. All nigiri we had was very fresh tasting and generous portion to match the price. I an eager to try more of their rolls next time I visit, they have a bunch of both raw and cooked to choose from.

First time visiting our server was awesome. When you go ask for Virginia. So nice and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. So glad this is in our neck of the woods. Will def be back. We took pics after the fact lol the sushi was so good.

Big O roll. Heated Salmon. NY strip roll. Seared salmon. Skinny cosmo cocktail

My date and I were super hungry after waiting half an hour to eat elsewhere and never being seated. We decided to go so I looked up sushi restaurants nearby and to my delight I saw Sushi nami! We were promptly seated at a booth upon arrival. The decor is very sleek, modern Japanese. Perfect ambiance for a romantic date night and smooth playlist. They offer an extensive wine and cocktail list. I had the skinny cosmo and my date had the old fashioned. We both started our dinner with a warm cup of miso soup, which was served piping hot. We decided to get several rolls to share as it was his first time dining here. We had the Big O roll (spicy tuna), heated salmon, NY strip roll, and seared salmon roll. Everything was absolutely delicious! Loved the food and our server was excellent. My only advice would be to improve the cleanliness of the restrooms and overall cleanliness of the restaurant (clear tables).

Chawan Mushi actually authentic!

Very Authentic Japanese food, hard to find items like the chawan mushi shown below in pic. It's a warm custard type soup with chicken and it's delicious. The agedashi tofu is amazing as well. I don't eat sushi but all my friends and husband say it's great! Great service, yummy drinks. This place has it all!

This place is great. A little on the expensive side but you get great quality food and presentation is wonderful. Most of the pictures that you see we may have eaten from before taking a picture. Nonetheless this place is great.

Jalapeño Lobster $29+

This is the second Sushi Nami location I've been to and it's consistent with the first one in Alpharetta! The service and the food are just as great. The restaurant has ample parking. The space is big, open, and has plenty of seating indoor. They also have a semi-covered space equipped with a bar and heaters (at the time of our visit, heaters were coming), which is where we chose to be seated. We arrived on a weeknight and were seated and served right away. The place was buzzing, but it wasn't packed. We ordered the following: Jalapeño Lobster $29+ Wicked Tuna $14+ A couple of drinks Although the lobster shell had a light funky smell, the rolls tasted fresh and delicious. Our guess is that the shell may have been previously saved and preserved for a future presentation. We didn't attempt to eat the meat inside the shell. The wicked tuna roll was excellent. The drinks were on point. Love this establishment and will continue to support it!

Top: Negitoro; Bottom: 12 & 69 Degrees

Went on a Friday night and everything tasted phenominal! It was crowded on a Friday night, but there were still enough parkings and tables when we came. We got seated right away. Appetizers Ginger salad was great. Something about the ginger sauce made it special. Miso Soup was flavorful. Highly concentrated with miso and nicely salted. Tuna Tataki was one of the best we ever had. The sauce underneath was tangy, not too sweet or too citrusy. Tuna was tender and lightly charred. Lamb Chops was so delicious. They did well getting rid of the gamey scent. It still distinctly tasted like lamb though. Meat was juicy and tender. I think the only seasonings were salt and pepper on top. It did came with a minty green sauce on the side, but I personally would preferred not to use it because it completely hide the lamb taste. The side arugula salad was equally amzing with cheese and some kind of dressing already mixed in. The only complaint is that it came with 4 snall pieces. Main Course Negitoro had fresh, high quality tuna on top with green onions. It will melt in your mouth. Sounds basic but the quality made it stand out from other places. 12 & 69 Degrees Roll had tuna inside, salmon and avacado on top, drizzle with mayo and Sriracha sauce. Everything was fresh and tender. Premium Nigiri Dinner was a good option of you like to try different types of raw fish. Extremely tender and fresh. Highly recommend if you like sushi.

Rainbow, Philly, Eel, and Volcano -- $65
Helen K.

It wasn't the worst sushi, but I don't think we'll come back here. My daughter and I arrived pretty hungry, so we ordered four rolls to share: Rainbow, Philly, Eel, and Volcano. I personally like to judge sushi places by their Rainbow and Volcano, because these represent a range for me. Their Rainbow was meh, one piece of fish had a bone, the shrimp was extremely rubbery, and I just wasn't overall impressed. Their volcano was not even close to what we normally expect--it was served cold (not at all broiled) and with just a very large pool of spicy mayo. It just seemed to lack intention or technique. For the price point, I really expected a bit more. Anyway, four rolls was enough for us, and it rang up to about $65 before tip.

The restaurant is nice inside and the server was friendly, but it took quite a while for our sushi to come out. Because of the delay, we were given miso soup, which was a sweet gesture. We ordered 2 sushi rolls, the crunch roll & heated salmon roll. I never had salmon sushi with cream cheese in it, but it was good (as well as the crunch roll). I got full after 1 & 1/2 roll, so maybe should split one next time. After tip, it was about $30. I'll come back for a special visit, but will go to my regular sushi spot in the meantime.

Good sushi sashimi food. Friendly staff. Went there as soon as they open to have early dinner, wasn't busy and felt nice.

I love a good sushi date! This place was excellent. The margarita was right amount of sweet and nice punch of tequila. And price was good too of only $9. I had the tuna and sushi roll. I enjoyed the sushi roll a lot as it was nice hear, crunch and the fish tasted fresh. The tuna was good too just wish it was cut into smaller pieces. The chicken teriyaki, you would think that's so basic but their chicken was grilled to perfection and vegetables had a nice bite. Ambience was perfect for a indoor outdoor seating. And the service was excellent as they were very attentive.

Nice bar

First Place say I've been to that actually had a temperature check. Had a great patio that was open with lots of fresh air. Nice bar. The coconut shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. Enjoy the tuna . Not a fan of the spicy ginger dressing. I like mine a little sweeter. Beautiful atmosphere and overall an enjoyable meal.

Always a great meal at Sushi Nami. The staff is always pleasant. Reminds me of some of the sushi restaurants in NYC. Love the outdoor dining. If you are "really" a lover of Japanese cuisines, ask for the special menu.

I love Japanese steakhouses, but of late most places water down their sauces and over cook the food. Not the case here. I highly recommend it. The only ding I will give this place is for the shrimp tempura appetizer. It wasn't a real tempura style coating. This had a breading the reminded me of Captain D's. That said, while the one appetizer was subpar, the rest of the dinner was amazing. I fully intend to return. Everyone in our party was very pleased with not only the food but the staff and service as well. I didn't take pics, but the interior is very nice and clean. This will now be my go to place for Japanese steakhouses.

We got a bunch of things including the hibachi (steak and shrimp), Tomiyama chicken, pad Thai, and spring rolls. While everything was just mid, I have to call out the pad Thai and spring rolls. The pad Thai was so incredibly sweet, it tasted of ketchup. The spring rolls were definitely frozen, I could taste freezer in every bite. The sushi was ok, probably the best of everything. The hibachi chef was also very nice and did a great job with the "show". I have to say - the place was not clean either. I know it was probably busier than usual due to Eid, but everything was a little dirty - from dishes to the table to the thing you get your check in, they all had something gross on it. We were able to flag the staff down at some point to clean the table and dishes, but it still felt gross. Super disappointing experience. I was here about a year ago, I think their standards have dropped significantly.

We went for the dinner AYCE at $29.99 per person, and kids under 3 eat free. Our toddler (3) and baby, free of costs. But our toddler did have his own meal (chicken nuggies and fries...what a plus!) Keep in mind that some items are included in the per-person price, while others come with an additional charge. For example, the fried ice cream dessert was $1 per serving on top of the AYCE cost. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Now, onto the revolving sushi belt experience. The bottom belt is full of pre-made sushi, circulating around, while the top belt carries the sushi you've specifically ordered via iPad. This is where a few concerns come in. Since the pre-made sushi is constantly circulating, you don't always know if someone has fiddled with it. As for the iPad ordering system, it was placed up above the top sushi belt, which was a bit of a nuisance. It would have been easier to use if it was within arm's reach, but again, not a major issue. We opted to order items that would take time to prepare and came directly to our table, so we could avoid the pre-made conveyor. The fried ice cream dessert was great, tasty--but the spoon they gave me was dirty and sticky. It honestly felt like it had been used by a kid before being handed to me. Needless to say, I didn't use it. Service was solid. Our server was helpful, especially since it was our first time, and walked us through the process. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are a few things that could be improved, particularly with cleanliness and the setup of the revolving belts.

The restaurant appeared clean from what I could tell, and our food came out quickly. The first thing that arrived was the two sushi trays we had chosen. They looked amazing when they came out and honestly looked very appetizing, but unfortunately, they didn't taste nearly as good as they looked. Our server also had us choose three additional plates from options like proteins, appetizers, salad, noodles, and more. I chose teriyaki chicken, vegetable noodles, and a house salad with ginger dressing. My kids ordered similar items. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was disappointing as well. The ginger dressing tasted watered down, the chicken was dry and didn't really have any teriyaki flavor, and the vegetable noodles were extremely salty. My kids normally love fried rice, but they wouldn't eat it. Overall, everything seemed to have a very similar flavor, and there was a strange aftertaste that lingered in my mouth. The server was a little rude in trying to rush us to order drinks and didn't give us much time to browse the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant was so quiet and unwelcoming. The all you can eat menu is really nice as the pricing is good. However, they don't disclaim the many rules they have for it. They charge you for leftover food and you can't take any leftovers home, they just throw out your uneaten food in the trash. The sushi was the first to come out and we definitely ordered way too much because the server didn't specify how the menu worked. California roll, Kristy crab and shrimp tempura were the sushi we got. Very bland in presentation, and the flavor was not there either. We also ordered fried rice, chicken teriyaki and a house salad. The salad was okay. Not enough salad at all and it was basically drowning in the ginger dressing. The chicken was extremely dry, and had no teriyaki sauce on it whatsoever. I was disappointed in the flavor and overall presentation. The fried rice also was very bland and flavorless. It almost tasted buttery and oily. Everything was way too salty and not good at all, it was disappointing. I for sure won't be coming here again because afterwards I just felt very sluggish and upset that we spent that money on food that didn't even taste good. Go spend your money at another spot.
