Delicious! So I went in and placed a to-go order since I was staying down the street. It took about 20 minutes for my food to come out. The front staff were amazing! They were attentive to all guests. There were people dining in, pick-up orders and guests being seated and they managed everyone well. I sat off to the side and just watched this well oiled machine work. This place looks really fun and new. It has a club vibe mixed with sports bar with the tv's. My rolls were both delicious!

The ambiance was cool and all the decor was fun. The main reason for the 3 stars is because the service was so slow. My friends did the all you can eat but had such a difficult time ordering and the food came out super slow. The edamame was fresh and we also got cream cheese rangoons which were good. I got one that was not toasted well but they were good. The masa roll was pretty good. The fish tasted pretty fresh. Dragon roll and Godzilla roll had a nice bite and the sauces complimented everything well. I liked them especially with a little ginger and wasabi, which I had to ask for.

The best sushi in Lubbock, hands down by a mile. The initial health violations were concerning, but there's not an alternative here, sooo- I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was an early staffing issue, and assume that they're coordinating with the Lubbock HHD closely to resolve everything in the future. After all, I have to be objective with my review to include our own experience and not external information. Okay, here we go- Quality of fish is surprisingly good. How do they get decent fish out here in Lubbock? Coming from LA/Dallas backlines, my question is how they get their supply chain stuff out here, and for an AYCE, this quality is on par with some mid tier non AYCE options. That's a massive compliment. Even the yellowtail/albacore isn't too fishy. Side/appetizers are very good too, kind of look similar to uchi cloned dishes if you've had that from DFW/Austin. Ambiance is really good in this modern, massive building, and service is solid. There are no limits to how much you can order at a given time, so take that with how you will. Lunch prices are especially reasonable. Again, I'm rating 5 stars here with the assumption that this restaurant will take the inspector's results properly and continue to build on the great stuff they already have. :) Oh, and the presentation of the dishes is cute with the art for everything from Naruto to Patrick Star (LOL)

We have eaten here twice. The food is good and it is a great sushi place. It does always take a while to get your orders out. It's fresh when it comes, but it's random what might come out. Appetizers might not come before your sushi etc. Overall a great all you can eat sushi. A definite must try.

The ambiance was nice and the seared tuna roll was amazing. A tad pricey but it was still so good. Will come back for sure to hit up the all you can eat section. It's two pages!!

Sushi Nami was an interesting restaurant. The decor was different-very modern looking! Everyone in our party ordered from the all-you-can eat menu, which was $32/person. A waitress takes your order but everything comes in a very piecemeal way. First someone got their soup. 5 minutes later another person got their first course. Five or 10 minutes later-other items came. It was this way for our entire meal. It was fine-we all tried each other's things and we visited while food showed up randomly. The menu does not tell the size of the dishes and it was very inconsistent. The spicy edamame appetizer could easily feed several people, but other items were tiny one-bite items and there was no way to know the size until it showed up at the table. Sometimes items were delivered to our table with no explanation, leaving us to figure out what it was and who it was for. Nevertheless, We got to try so many items and the food quality was quite good and we had a good time.

!MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR APPETITE! The endless sushi will fill you up faster than you think so prepare accordingly. The food was super fresh and each new roll came out fast. Unlimited food for only 20$ during lunch hours isn't bad at all! Fun spot with a cool interior i definitely recommend.

I've been here twice now and the food is just as good as it was the first time. However, the service was not very good this visit. I'm not sure if it's because we went during a non peak period or maybe our server was having a bad day but he was almost nonexistent, which is unfortunate for us considering we opted for AYCE. I feel like the price ($30) is fair if you can eat enough food. My husband made sure he ate his moneys worth of salmon and yellow tail. Definitely worth a try if you're on the fence but hopefully your server is better than ours was.

I am so glad that Sushi Nami came to Lubbock! Fantastic food, servers, and atmosphere! I ate what would have easily been $100 worth of sushi for $19.99+tax. I highly recommend this business.

Service was great our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was so cool. I ordered the 2 rolls and sashimi. The sashimi was fresh, very happy with the yellow tail. The rolls however were lackluster both of the rolls were raw and arrived warm. The simple roll was a crispy tuna, it looked pre made and the rice was dry. The other was a chefs special and was covered in eel sauce. When I asked for wasabi it was crusted over and dry. I had 2 bites of each and sent it back. The general manager came by and asked what I didn't like and explained my concern of the warmth and freshness. He charged me 50% since I tried both. Having been in food business for 10 years I doubt I'll be coming back and won't recommend it to my colleagues. Recommend just going to Ohana's as a tried and true option.

John was super quick with the service and was very helpful with suggestions. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, and that tells you a lot about the staff. If I could make two suggestions to the staff, it would be 1.) I never got offered a refill on my water and 2.) we had to ask for the hot mustard sauce. It was good, too! They should be offering that to people up front. Great experience and will definitely be going back the first chance we get.

When I brought it to the staff's attention, it was replaced, but the issue was treated as though it were insignificant. I then mentioned that the hamachi had an unusual taste and a partially cooked texture, even though I understood it was intended to be served raw. The waitress informed the manager, but rather than speaking with me directly, he initially instructed her to discount my bill by 20%. After I specifically asked whether the manager planned to address my concern, he came to the table. Unfortunately, the conversation focused on repeatedly explaining that hamachi is served raw rather than listening to what I was actually saying: I knew it was supposed to be raw, but this particular serving tasted and felt as though it had been partially cooked or otherwise improperly handled. My concern wasn't simply the food--it was the dismissive response to both cleanliness and quality issues. A discount does not replace a sincere apology, an effort to understand the problem, or attentive management. I left feeling unheard and uncomfortable, and I would not return.

I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options, which felt thoughtfully done rather than like an afterthought. My bowl was flavorful and well-balanced, though worth noting: even after asking for heat, it wasn't spicy at all, so spice lovers may want to temper expectations. That said, the experience had a bit of a rough start. We arrived right at the posted opening time (11am) and ended up waiting outside in the freezing cold, unsure if they were actually open. We had to call to confirm, and only then did someone come to unlock the door. Once inside, I asked for hot tea--pretty standard at most Japanese spots--only to be told they were completely out, which was surprising. All things considered, Yanagi Ramen delivers a dependable bowl with good vegetarian choices and a clean, modern space. A few opening-hour kinks and missing basics kept it from being great, but the food itself was enjoyable, and I'd happily come back--just not for spice, and hopefully next time with hot tea ready to go.

My only thing is that the soup could have been slightly warmer and with a smidge more broth. I usually don't like a tone of broth but this was a little lacking (see photo). My friend got the seafood ramen and it looked really bad. He said it came cold which was confirmed with another person who tried the soup. The shrimp looked very overcooked and the scallops were tiny. We also tried the calamari and the takoyaki. The takoyai wasn't very good and the calamari also wasn't great but the sauce saved it a little. We also tried the white peach sake which didn't taste like alcohol at all. The hot teas and sodas are refills as well. Service was nice and the interior is very pretty and modern.
