The ambiance was cool and all the decor was fun. The main reason for the 3 stars is because the service was so slow. My friends did the all you can eat but had such a difficult time ordering and the food came out super slow. The edamame was fresh and we also got cream cheese rangoons which were good. I got one that was not toasted well but they were good. The masa roll was pretty good. The fish tasted pretty fresh. Dragon roll and Godzilla roll had a nice bite and the sauces complimented everything well. I liked them especially with a little ginger and wasabi, which I had to ask for.

Sushi Nami was an interesting restaurant. The decor was different-very modern looking! Everyone in our party ordered from the all-you-can eat menu, which was $32/person. A waitress takes your order but everything comes in a very piecemeal way. First someone got their soup. 5 minutes later another person got their first course. Five or 10 minutes later-other items came. It was this way for our entire meal. It was fine-we all tried each other's things and we visited while food showed up randomly. The menu does not tell the size of the dishes and it was very inconsistent. The spicy edamame appetizer could easily feed several people, but other items were tiny one-bite items and there was no way to know the size until it showed up at the table. Sometimes items were delivered to our table with no explanation, leaving us to figure out what it was and who it was for. Nevertheless, We got to try so many items and the food quality was quite good and we had a good time.

The best sushi in Lubbock, hands down by a mile. The initial health violations were concerning, but there's not an alternative here, sooo- I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was an early staffing issue, and assume that they're coordinating with the Lubbock HHD closely to resolve everything in the future. After all, I have to be objective with my review to include our own experience and not external information. Okay, here we go- Quality of fish is surprisingly good. How do they get decent fish out here in Lubbock? Coming from LA/Dallas backlines, my question is how they get their supply chain stuff out here, and for an AYCE, this quality is on par with some mid tier non AYCE options. That's a massive compliment. Even the yellowtail/albacore isn't too fishy. Side/appetizers are very good too, kind of look similar to uchi cloned dishes if you've had that from DFW/Austin. Ambiance is really good in this modern, massive building, and service is solid. There are no limits to how much you can order at a given time, so take that with how you will. Lunch prices are especially reasonable. Again, I'm rating 5 stars here with the assumption that this restaurant will take the inspector's results properly and continue to build on the great stuff they already have. :) Oh, and the presentation of the dishes is cute with the art for everything from Naruto to Patrick Star (LOL)

The ambiance was nice and the seared tuna roll was amazing. A tad pricey but it was still so good. Will come back for sure to hit up the all you can eat section. It's two pages!!

We have eaten here twice. The food is good and it is a great sushi place. It does always take a while to get your orders out. It's fresh when it comes, but it's random what might come out. Appetizers might not come before your sushi etc. Overall a great all you can eat sushi. A definite must try.

The food is awesome and fresh and the service is extremely kind and friendly. It's a new restaurant and everything all clean. Love the lighting whale decorations on the ceiling.

!MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR APPETITE! The endless sushi will fill you up faster than you think so prepare accordingly. The food was super fresh and each new roll came out fast. Unlimited food for only 20$ during lunch hours isn't bad at all! Fun spot with a cool interior i definitely recommend.

I've been here twice now and the food is just as good as it was the first time. However, the service was not very good this visit. I'm not sure if it's because we went during a non peak period or maybe our server was having a bad day but he was almost nonexistent, which is unfortunate for us considering we opted for AYCE. I feel like the price ($30) is fair if you can eat enough food. My husband made sure he ate his moneys worth of salmon and yellow tail. Definitely worth a try if you're on the fence but hopefully your server is better than ours was.

I am so glad that Sushi Nami came to Lubbock! Fantastic food, servers, and atmosphere! I ate what would have easily been $100 worth of sushi for $19.99+tax. I highly recommend this business.

Service was great our waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was so cool. I ordered the 2 rolls and sashimi. The sashimi was fresh, very happy with the yellow tail. The rolls however were lackluster both of the rolls were raw and arrived warm. The simple roll was a crispy tuna, it looked pre made and the rice was dry. The other was a chefs special and was covered in eel sauce. When I asked for wasabi it was crusted over and dry. I had 2 bites of each and sent it back. The general manager came by and asked what I didn't like and explained my concern of the warmth and freshness. He charged me 50% since I tried both. Having been in food business for 10 years I doubt I'll be coming back and won't recommend it to my colleagues. Recommend just going to Ohana's as a tried and true option.

Great service! waitress was very attentive! Restaurant looks pretty cool and they have fun decor! Food. Awful. Im not a crazy sushi critic but it was so bad. Super cute presentation. They make little animals and stuff from oyster sauce on the plates. But it's not fresh. Like it was stuck to the plate and had been there for too long. Sushi is like it's from a vending machine. Not fresh or cool.... Kinda like it's premade. I was really excited too!!

Some of the food we ordered :)

Firstly Lylie S was our server and they rocked! Give Lylie all the good shifts, the good sections and a raise, a promotion, pto- whatever they want give it to them! GO LYLIE!! They were so attentive, sweet, and it was a pleasure to sit in their section! The food was delicious. We had so many delicious things off of the all you can eat menu: apps- Cheese Rangoons, the Spicy Edamame, Fried Gyoza, Yellowtail Jalapeno, onion soup Sushi- Avocado, Spicy Yellowtail Crunch Roll, and Crazy Dragon Roll Rice/Noodle- Veggie Fried Rice Drinks- Boba (it was a sweet milk tea with brown sugar jellies I believe, no tapioca, it was surprisingly good when I expected tapioca boba) The music was great all night, such a fun vibe great for a celebration, date, or a fun time with friends. There wasn't anything I tried I wouldn't recommend! It was all so good! The spicy edamame was a stand out surprise that I would order over and over. The all you can eat menu was so expansive and inclusive for meat and non meat eaters. I would suggest going early so you can take advantage and try everything you can! It was so worth it!

Okay first it was the ambience. VERY nice and modern. The interior itself is ART…read more Then we had a very nice young lady ( we think her name was Carli) attending to our every need and question as she waited on us ... and then the food was just delicious. We were shocked at how completely satisfied we were though we really had not had any friends tip us off about the place. I suggested it and my wife said oh okay but arent they all the same... with waving good luck cat decoration etc? I suggested we gamble and taste the food. We loved it and we will be back. Would recommend to anybody.

Yanagi Ramen is a solid addition to the area and a place I'd definitely return to. While it wasn't…read morethe most mind-blowing ramen I've ever had, it was genuinely good--especially for the location--and clearly hits the spot when you're craving something warm and comforting. I really appreciated the variety of vegetarian options, which felt thoughtfully done rather than like an afterthought. My bowl was flavorful and well-balanced, though worth noting: even after asking for heat, it wasn't spicy at all, so spice lovers may want to temper expectations. That said, the experience had a bit of a rough start. We arrived right at the posted opening time (11am) and ended up waiting outside in the freezing cold, unsure if they were actually open. We had to call to confirm, and only then did someone come to unlock the door. Once inside, I asked for hot tea--pretty standard at most Japanese spots--only to be told they were completely out, which was surprising. All things considered, Yanagi Ramen delivers a dependable bowl with good vegetarian choices and a clean, modern space. A few opening-hour kinks and missing basics kept it from being great, but the food itself was enjoyable, and I'd happily come back--just not for spice, and hopefully next time with hot tea ready to go.
