    Bulgogi bento box

Why was the salad in the Bulgogi bento box the best/most flavorful part of it... the rice was very dry and stiff somehow. Fried batter had no type of seasoning. This was so bland and disappointing as a whole. Sushi roll almost made up for it. I guess if you're going to come here, come here for the rolls. Arnold Palmer is mostly lemonade and apple juice is bottled treetop Friendly but very slow service, we waited like 15 for them to take away the card and more to come back with it

Go anywhere but here, unfortunately the Manager Dani is very rude and too busy to give you the time of day. Also if you have food allergies They can not accommodate and If you brought food of your own because they don't have food accommodations you're not going be allowed at the restaurant. I went with a party of 10 and was told to eat alone down the street even though we were all paying customers, seated outside. They even said because we ordered our food already that my party can't eat with me down the street.

My daughter pick of the day. We didn't quite get sushi but we sure did op in on other amazing tasting food on the menu. Our server was very kind & did a wonderful job hosting us, always check in on us & recommended great items . We decided to dine in their outdoor seating . Not a far walk from La Jolla beautiful beach. Out door seating was a very nice size & it accommodated our pup . Very clean area same with their rest rooms . It's a must try for sure if you get the chance to check them out! Tucked away beautiful gem. Chef did amazing on our food . (Pics for detail)

Amazing! The sushi was fresh, appealing and stellar flavors. Our server Elle was top notch and knew where each fish came from, how it was prepared and gave great suggestions. They have outside seating and inside and we chose outside on such a beautiful day and people watched. We also tried a new to is sake which was very good. If you are vacationing in La Jolla stop here for sure.

Steps away from La Jolla Shores, is this closed street full of restaurants and bars, and a spot we visited again was Sushi Mori! Everyone was so kind from the moment we got there! This is what we ordered: -sushi of the day $20 (as shown in the today's special deal) -unagi don $28 (first time ordering this and it was sooo good!) -chirashi $34 (got this last time and it still was just as amazing) -cherry blossom $18 (first time ordering this and it has spicy imitation crab, avocado, cucumber and on top is tuna, salmon, avocado with spicy mayo...would get this roll again!) Such a cute sushi date night spot that is intimate! Recommend going during sunset time to see the beautiful hues as it gets darker.

Great sushi, we got the crunchy roll, spicy tuna roll, and spicy garlic edamame and they were all excellent!

We ordered tonkatsu ramen, sorrento roll and lobster popcorn roll which were all tasty and fresh. For the ramen, definitely ask for the spicy paste. The broth is not as rich as I would like a ramen broth but it was still good and spice paste definitely improved it. It's not an uncomfortable type of spice so don't be afraid of it because it makes a huge difference: The service is friendly. They don't come around often so make sure you ask for everything you need when they do come around. The feel is casual and quiet which is nice especially if you're trying to have a conversation without having to yell over music or loud crowds.

Good, solid sushi in the La Jolla shores area! I ordered the Pink Roll, since you can never go wrong with spicy tuna and salmon. The seafood was fresh and good quality! I will say, they don't play around with spices, since their spicy tuna is actually spicy (compared to other restaurants). Cute little restaurant on this blocked off street, with patio seating. Service was quick and friendly.

Sushi Mori? More like Sushi More-y, because you're definitely gonna want more. This place is a hidden gem with a lunch menu that's almost too good for daylight hours like, why are we eating this level of sushi without mood lighting and jazz? The sushi? Fresh, flavorful, and stacked like it knows it's hot. The sake? Goes down smoother than your ex's apologies. Service is fast, friendly, and makes you feel like a regular even if you're just there for the lunch special and to contemplate your life choices. Bonus points for outdoor seating that doesn't feel like a sidewalk punishment. It's actually nice great for people-watching or pretending you're in Tokyo on a budget. 10/10 would roll back for more.

First off, La Jolla is absolutely gorgeous. This sushi joint is located right on the main strip in my opinion of La Jolla. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, but I prefer to sit outdoors, especially because of the beautiful weather. The sushi is very good quality, everything tasted very fresh. My favorite item on the menu was definitely the green muscles. OUTSTANDING!!! The service was exceptional. Parking wasn't even too bad, but it can be a little tricky out there so make sure you come early. Only a few blocks away from the ocean so you can get a nice beautiful walk in before or after your meal.

Our waiter also gave great suggestions and was very hospitable to me and my friends. We had a party of seven, and he still accommodated us really well. The food came out quickly, and the appetizers were amazing. I definitely recommend the calamari rings. The only thing I would note is that the wait was a little long, but that was mainly because of where we wanted to sit, and it is a pretty popular spot. We waited about 30 minutes, but it worked out because we walked down to the beach and had a really nice late night walk. Overall, it was such a great experience and definitely worth it.

My husband and I have been here several times before as it is both mine and my husband's favorite ramen eatery in San Diego. This is the best ramen in San Diego. After going on my own little ramen crawl around SD, this is the top of them all, bar none. If you really are craving something close to ramen in Japan, try this place. Everything is fantastic here but my favorite of all the ramen choices is the Red King (the spicy tonkotsu). The Black King is also good (squid ink) and has a nice umami punch to it with a good helping of garlic to seal the deal. The karage (fried chicken) is great as well. The texture is perfect and I think the sauce provided really added to the overall bite. The gyoza is also fantastic as well and they provide a dipping sauce that is not the standard dip but something better. If I recall, it is a lightly sweet pear-esque sauce with the consistency almost like apple sauce. It's very very good, don't knock it till you try it! The service is always quick and top-tier. They always have a jug of water with lemon slices and cups available to use at any time. Seating is both indoors and outdoors. Inside it can be a little cramped if you have a large group but outside has full tables next to the pond which is quite nice. This is not a traditional restaurant so there are a few things to keep in mind: 1) There are no reservations. 2) There is a dedicated queue outside and you need to wait in that to line to be seated. 3) They will not take you to be seated until your entire party is readily available so just be cognizant of that. 4) Everyone in your party will receive a red marker and a paper form to fill out your individual orders while you are in this line. If it is your first time, check the Chef Recommendation box at the top to make it easier. Sides are at the bottom (most ramen do not include an egg so if you want an egg make sure to mark it). 5) Your party may be seated at the same table as another party and share the space. If this is an issue for you, sit outside. 6) You get your receipt from your sever and pay at the register.

Ordered the original king ramen with an egg. Broth was so good, it reminded me of the one I had in Tokyo. The thin noodles are also my favorite. Spicy level at 1 for extra flavor. The gyoza on the other hand are decent and very small. I will definitely be coming back for more ramen.

Tantanmen: As a person who isn't a big tantanmen fan, I was shocked that I enjoyed this. The spice level was tolerable, and the saltiness level was okay, until you get to the bottom 3rd of the bowl. You get good portions and meat to noodle ratio, so it's worth it. Tonkotsu Ajitama: Creamy with a touch of saltiness. I love a good tonkotsu ramen, and I think this is a good introduction to tonkotsu. I'm glad that they have a bunch of options so people can customize how they want their tonkotsu ramen. Pork Paiko: It's not a katsu, but it gives that vibe. I think this is a good thing to pair with the ramen. I think the vibe is different enough from the chashu, where it's worth ordering. Chicken Paiko: it's chicken katsu with a different vibe. The batter has more body and is a different vibe compared to their fried chicken (karaage). Although I think the pork paiko is better, people who prefer chicken can rest easy knowing this is good as well. Fried Gyoza: I don't know what to say. It's a fried dumpling. It's not remarkable enough to be considered amazing, but it wasn't bad either. The good kind of average in general. Fried Chicken: It's a decent fried chicken at a good size. I just hope they can maintain the size, since many establishments have a hard time maintaining chicken quality after a while. Service: You pay first before being seated, and most of the stuff is self-service, so the interaction is really just when ordering and when they drop off the food. Ambiance: Classic ramen shop. Well lit, smells good, and located in an upscale mall.

I swung by recently for a casual dinner with friends, and we were seated with no wait. I ordered the spicy miso tonkotsu with an egg, and our food came out quickly. The broth is silky and rich without being too fatty, and I think that is what sets Menya ultra apart from other bowls of tonkotsu-broth ramen. The spicy is SPICY, I was red and sweating but couldn't get enough. The noodles were nothing to write home about, and I do prefer the bouncier mochi noodles from other SD ramen shops, but they were cooked well. The egg was super flavorful, though the yolk was cooked just a tad more solid that I like. The pork was incredibly thin but flavorful, with a similar marinade to the egg. We also ordered the negipon karaage which is one of my favorites. So juicy, flavorful, and perfectly tender. The green onion and mayo are a perfect pairing with the crispy chicken!
