This is amoung the best casual sushi places I have had in San Francisco. The best in the Mission. The rolls and nigiri have very delicate flavors and prepared in a way that makes me notice the chefs touch. When I went it was a very calm relaxing environment. The meal ended with some ice cream on the house. Everything super fresh. Cabbage salad came with sea weed salad on top and dressing on the side. Different. Miso soup was not quite up to par with the sushi.

Ah, this is why we love San Francisco. Stumbled into Sushi Easy off the street, desperate for a refreshing bite to eat after a dehydrating work function in the Mission. There was one server and every table in the restaurant was taken but two. The chefs at the counter irasshaimase'd us and we were instantly seated and handed menus. My partner and I ordered a handful of options including the chef's choice sampler (can't remember exactly what it was called but attached a picture feat. my used napkin). Despite being the only staff member on the floor, Shī (I am almost certainly spelling his name wrong) delivered excellent, prompt service. Everyone around us seemed well taken care of, and he had quality recommendations and rapport as we tossed back and forth what to eat. The space is cute, the menu is at once familiar and original, and the food is good quality--most especially considering the fair price. We were comfortable the entire meal and left feeling satiated and fortunate to have found this place entirely by mistake. We did not expect to find a lovely sushi spot open until 10pm on Valencia, but now that we know it's here we'll definitely be back. If anyone knows of another place with genuinely good sushi in SF/Peninsula area at a similar place, I am eager to hear it.

Sushi was amazing. With our order we got the miso soup and ice cream free. The place is small with one server running around but she was really nice. Would love to go back.

This place is my new favorite sushi place. They focus more on the traditional style single type of fish rolls which are all prepared to perfection with some of the most expertly prepared sushi rice (some of the most important parts of the sushi). The service is amazing and friendly and the decor is so cute you'll want to take the whole family or bring your special someone for a cute date night ! I highly recommend

This place is fantastic! The prices are great and food is amazing. We got a mix of saba sashimi, wasabi roll, salmon lemon roll, red queen roll, eel roll, and saba roll. We also got complimentary miso soup and vanilla ice cream. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is so cute as well, and the staff are extremely nice and attentive.

I walked in with 4 at 7pm with no reservation on Thursday night and was able to be seated in 10 minutes. The place is no frills and cozy, but had great value menu options and the sushi and rolls were all delicious! I had the hamachi nigiri and the red queen roll. They did initially make the red queen roll with avocado but I asked them to remake it since I was allergic and it wasn't mentioned on the menu, and they were very gracious about it! We got miso soups on the house too and it was so nice to sip on coming in from the cold outside! Great little spot, I'll be coming back for random little dinners

Was walking down Valencia st and came across this relatively new spot. The fish was good and the prices are very reasonable. Really solid spot for a casual meal that's not too pricey. Great addition to the neighborhood

I think i stumbled upon this restaurant looking for an affordable night spot on TikTok, we were so hungry and this place was so good!! We got : Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll & Salmon Miso The salmon was cooked so perfectly, sauce was just as delicious. Dragon Roll was our favorite too must try for real. Also got complimentary slices of cheesecake, which was delicious and rich in flavor Server was nice and accommodating the place was also very cozy.

I'm always hunting for spots like this because I have a weakness for those over-the-top, Instagram-worthy desserts that look like diabetes in a dish. Like most places in this genre, A Buttercup is small, modern, and minimalist with limited seating. If you plan to go, aim for off-hours unless you enjoy waiting in line for sugar. The decor is cute and trendy, perfect for photos if that's part of your dessert ritual. As they say, "you eat with your eyes first," and when it comes to presentation, this place definitely gets an A+. The desserts look stunning and set high expectations. Unfortunately, that's where things started to crumble. It's like going to see your favorite artist live. You've watched the videos, memorized the songs, and paid for the experience. But instead of the electric performance you imagined, you get someone lip-syncing and barely connecting with the crowd. That was this place in dessert form. We ordered the Mango Bingsoo on our first visit, and when it arrived, we were surprised by how small the portion was. The guy next to us even looked over and said, "Whatever that is, I'm getting that next time." He shouldn't have. The Bingsoo looked great but was bland, and the "snow" was more chunky ice than soft shave. The Thai Tea Roti was also not what I expected. It came with Thai tea ice cream and sauce alongside a roti that was fried to a crunch. Interesting idea, just not the best execution. The sauce and ice cream needed a stronger Thai tea flavor to balance the crispy roti, and the flavors never quite came together. Overall, A Buttercup nails the aesthetics but misses the flavor. If you're here for the photos, you'll be happy. If you're here for the taste, you'll leave with a full camera roll and an unsatisfied sweet tooth.

The line went pretty fast on a Wednesday evening, but I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend. There's a bit of seating inside to enjoy your ice cream. They let you try three flavors, and I tried two, and both were so good I just decided on the spot. My first sample was the Salty Kaya. WOW. Heaven in my mouth. A burst of coconut and the saltiness that paired so well together. There's a reason this flavor has a permanent spot on the menu and isn't just a seasonal flavor! My second choice was the Funky Miso. I guess I love the sweet and savory combo. Also delicious! But not quite the flavor explosion in my mouth like the Salty Kaya. This one really grew on me after several spoonfuls of it. I really like that the single scoop allows you to get two flavors. How can I decide on just one when they have so many fun flavors?? I love this spot and will absolutely be returning. I'm still thinking about the Salty Kaya weeks later.

I love that they rotate seasonal flavors because there's always something new to try. My favorite is when they have their melon flavors, and I was so excited to see cantaloupe back this week! It was just as good as I remembered... fresh, creamy, fruity, and not overly sweet. Their flavors are creative without feeling gimmicky, and everything I've tried has been yummy. They let you sample up to 3 flavors, which definitely helps when you're trying to decide between all the seasonal options. There's usually a pretty long line but it moves fast so I've never felt like I was waiting too long. The staff is always friendly, and the whole experience is worth it.
