This was my first visit here and the variety of sushi rolls offered is staggering, but in a good way! The servers here are very attentive and helped me with my roll selection. I ultimately went with the Scooby Doo roll, but was giving the OMG roll the side eye up until the last moment. We also ordered veggie egg rolls and the veggie tempura. The Scooby Doo roll was huge and is basically a CA roll that's filled with deep fried crab, eel, and topped with more crab, unagi sauce, and orange sauce. This roll had amazing flavor and was very filling. I don't think the egg rolls were hand made, but still very good. Tempura veggies are hit just right when paired with sushi. I was here for lunch and the vibe here was laid back and very welcoming. It was slow when we arrived, but picked up and got very busy as we ate. I could see this place being slammed for dinner and on the weekends. They do take reservations, but by phone only; so plan accordingly. read more

Fresh and good quality fish. We had the mango Fresno roll, the octopus with jalapeño, a sashimi platter and miso soup. This is a hidden gem! Definitely recommend. They have fresh wasabi, non-alcoholic Sapporo unfiltered sake, flavored soju! Service was good. Our waitress was polite and knowledgeable about the dishes. They were busy but overall, the service was good. Music was good. Loud but you can have a conversation without yelling. Definitely coming back. This place can get pretty busy, and while the sushi portions are decent, some rolls can feel a bit pricey depending on what you order. The quality of the fish is good, and the baked mussels are especially delicious. There's a wide variety of cooked and raw sushi rolls to choose from. One thing I'd suggest is less rice on the rolls--the rice can sometimes outweigh the fish. They're also a bit limited in fish variety, which I assume is due to availability here in the Central Valley compared to the Bay Area. The staff is definitely busy, but they hustle as best they can to take care of every table. I'll need a few more visits to give a full verdict, but it's worth coming back for another try. read more

I wanted to try a sushi place we haven't tried before and decided on this place. We ordered to go. Service was excellent. They were very attentive. The place looked busy. Inside was cute. We went with sashimi salad. That came with a mixture of different fish, a bed of lettuce mix, seaweed salad and supposed to be a spicy sauce. It was pretty expensive. I think $24? We did get a lot of different fish pieces tho which tasted good, but the dressing was okay. Kinda bland after it sat in the lettuce. Tasted a lil watery after that. Not spicy. Would've loved more seaweed salad in it. My son wanted nigiri so got him the octopus and ono (butterfish). He liked both but some parts of the octopus ends was rubbery to him. I ordered the Snow White roll, and my bf ordered the blonde bombshell roll. They were both delicious. Comes with wasabi and pickled ginger. The fish here taste fresh. read more

We usually order the OMG Roll, which is stacked with extra toppings and just absolutely delicious. Other than that roll, we love the Rainbow Roll and the Baked Hamachi. The Rainbow has delicious fresh fish and avocado and a variety of fish while the Baked Hamachi is closer to a sushi bake with delicious cooked meat on top of the roll. The miso soup was fine and my lunch special sashimi plate was generously sized with a lot of decoration on the plate. My only complaint is that perhaps it was cut a bit too thick. My partner and I went to try this restaurant after a really long day and we were very hungry. We went in a couple minutes after it opened and it was already very busy. So we tried to be understanding when it took a while for the waiters to get our order. However, we saw that several groups that came in after us were getting served their food before us. They hadn't even taken our order yet but the people that came before us were getting their food. I had to ask if they can take our order for someone to stop and write down our order. This place is already fairly expensive and to have such bad service makes it so much worse. We will probably never come back here again. read more

I live in LA but every time we're visiting family here in Fresno this is a must visit.. their bento boxes and sushi is a reminder of the delicious food of Japan. This was our first visit, our waitress was very good! Orders and drinks came very quickly. The Food was delicious, starting with the sushi. It was masterfully prepared, it was the freshest sushi I have had in Fresno/ Clovis so far! We had the Scooby-Doo roll and a Dragon Roll. You absolutely have to try them. I had the beef teriyaki and tempura bento box, it came with Rice which had the perfect stickiness to pair with the beef and get that perfect beef / rice bite. The tempura was perfectly prepared as well, the batter was light and airy, with no excess grease and it retained rigidly to make for a crunchy bite every time you ate it. The miso soup was the best I have had in a long time. It gives you a warm good feeling that miso soup should. I skipped the Korean spicy wings. But my wife and son said that they were addictingly good but spicy. I highly recommend this establishment. Gets a 5 star from me. read more

A friend of mine introduced me to this place last year and I have been coming here ever since. The service is great. They are really relaxed and chill there and the drinks are good, the rolls are good. I mean everything was cooked well and had lots of flavor and it was just delicious. Such a hidden gem that I am glad I found out about. Was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. It came with 2 pieces of tuna sashimi, steamed rice, salad, and crispy tempura. The chicken was alright. I prefer Sakura Chaya's teriyaki chicken since it's dark meat but that could just be personal preference. Their fish is pretty good quality. The salmon in the salmon love special was buttery and tender. The service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday night. My party waited 15 minutes just to get seated because there wasn't anyone to clear off the empty tables. Once we were seated, our server was pleasant and attentive.
