I saw there was no one at 12:10pm and decided to just chill outside but it was freezing cold, but some people actually arrived way sooner but just chill in their car, but they were fine with me setting the line since I braved the cold to start the line. I didn't get a text but rather a call which was immediately hung up so if you get that around the estimated timeframe, then your order is likely ready. I got the seared salmon nigiri ($23.99 now, they raised the price quite a lot) and the sexy roll ($20.99). Somehow after taxes it came out to $49.50 and I was confused how I was overcharged but they have a hidden 4% credit card transaction fee, yikes. For 2 items this price is very steep but also it somewhat makes sense because the portions are huge. The 2 orders were good for 3 people for a satisfying meal. The seared salmon nigiri is super huge and the premise of what made this place suddenly so popular from the viral reels. I think it was decent but the appeal is that it's huge. The amount of rice was sufficient for something so huge. The salmon was fresh. The sexy roll is mostly tuna - fresh tuna on top, spicy tuna inside. It had a nice Korean-inspired flavor and it was also similarly huge and packed with ingredients. Honestly, while I enjoy it for the uniqueness of being huge, I strongly prefer smaller rolls for a lower price so I can try more things and not be overwhelmed by all the ingredients. What shocked me was that 18 minutes into opening, they're closed for a while since there were too many orders. So either go super early or chance and brave rush hour traffic and go later to score this. I'm glad that I got to try Sushi Blue at least once. Came a couple of times but each time it was either super busy or wait was long. There's really only one person that's there so understandable they can only do so much due to the viral media demand. Fish was decent quality and portion sizes are pretty huge. Rice quality was just ok. It'd be really great if the rice tasted more like vinegary sushi rice. Sizes are more of a novelty and the pieces are really too large to truly enjoy for me personally. Honestly Sushi Blue is a bit overhyped, mainly because of the size of the nigiri pieces. I've been wanting to take out Sushi Blue because it was trending on TikTok for a while and after trying it, it is not somewhere I would consistently go to. I love that the nigiri is pretty big. I think we got a container for seared salmon and the other was regular salmon, but in general it was so hard to eat. The fish to rice ratio was pretty drastic and you ended eating more rice than fish. Other than that, it took quite a bit maybe like an hour for the sushi to be ready. Reminder that there is one person making these and it is just take-out too. We spent our time shopping at Fred Meyers while we were waiting on the sushi. Pictured below is sushi combo B and it could easily feed 2 people. The salmon quality was amazing, nice and buttery nigiri. The rolls were also delicious. I really liked the tuna roll and I'm not even the biggest fan of tuna. The topped fish on the rolls is a little salty but other than that, absolutely delicious and delectable. The shop is sort of like a stand where there's a counter but no seating. You order at the front, wait about 15-minutes, and then the order is ready. Just be aware there is no seating indoor or outdoor! Probably have to take it home or have a car camping situation. Service is great. The lady at the front is really nice. The first time I came a bit too late and she was sold out for the day. This time, I came and there was a line of two girls in front of me. When I went back to pick up (about 20 minutes) there was a sign that said SOLD OUT this was around 7:15pm. While waiting the 20 min I did pass time by grabbing some boba across the street. I opted for the seared salmon, which for anyone who likes their sushi with sauce, order some extra (spicy) mayo or eel sauce. What came with it originally was not enough for my liking. The line to order here does get long pretty quickly. I was the first person to order right when they opened at 12pm so my 7 piece spicy seared salmon was ready to be picked up in less than 15 minutes. This is a takeout only restaurant and the only area to wait is outside. While I waited, I walked across the parking lot to pick up some bubble tea so time went by quickly. The salmon nigiri pieces are definitely the biggest I've ever seen, and very filling at that. I was thinking that it would have been better if I had shared with someone lol. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking but not really relevant since this place is take out only. So be sure to expect to eat it right away in your car or somewhere else. This tiny spot always seems to be busy and a line out the door during prime times is usually an expectation at this point. That and the fact that you can probably only fit 3-4 people at most inside at any given time. The menu is very simple and the main hitter is their overly generous serving size of sushi; definitely make sure to not eat with your eyes when looking at the menu. For the price you pay, you can't find anywhere else that can beat it in terms of portion and size. But in that, that's just it. The nigiri has no special difference from any other sushi location and the flavors are what you'd expect from salmon and seared salmon nigiri. Because of the sizing, the rice on the regular salmon nigiri was a bit dry on the outside. The salmon tasted fresh but felt a bit much when eating one piece. This carried over to the seared salmon nigiri where it felt overly sauced and oily due to its size. Would I come back? Only if I'm in the area and craving sushi and have some time to pass as it can take a while for the order to be ready. In our case; one hour from walk up to pickup. read more

The restaurant itself is a tiny space, just big enough to have a single staff member take your order. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we had to wait over 30 minutes for our order to be ready. We got the Salmon Nigiri, which was 7 pieces for $21. It was worth a good try, as the fish was fresh and the rice was well-prepared. Would I get it again? Not really. I don't think bigger sushi always means better, as I felt like the huge size was there to compensate for the sushi's enjoyment and taste. This place is crazy. It's a tiny takeout only shop and serves the fattest pieces of salmon I've ever seen in my life. I feel like my $20 salmon bowl was like 2 whole salmon filets from Costco. I explained that my family was in the car but the staff insisted that since no one else was with me in the store that I could only order two items. I've never heard of an order maximum in a restaurant before! There's no room in the store to wait once you've ordered and paid so most customers either wait outside or in their cars. The wait was at least 25 minutes long just for two dishes even when we were one of the first parties there. The order portions are significantly bigger than most sushi places so that was pretty exciting. Alas, that was about all we could be happy about. We ordered a sushi bowl and seared salmon roll. Both were extremely salty as if everything was doused in soy sauce. Sushi Blue Lynnwood We have been meaning to try Sushi Blue off Hwy 99, about a 10 minute drive from our house. They've been known to serve gargantuan pieces of sushi. No dine in, just take out. We ordered a Seared Salmon Roll with imitation crab. We also got a 7 piece Salmon Nigiri. Bag was so heavy when she picked up the bag that I was tempted to weigh each container. The Nigiri weighed 1 3/4 lbs. The roll weighed 1 1/2 lbs! The roll was flavorful, generous with the crab filling. Loved the broiled taste on top. The salmon pieces were crazy huge! They tasted fresh, as well. This is surely a fun way to eat sushi. I would have given this 5 stars if the owners would have spent some of its resources in making the take out spot more attractive.
