We arrived just after 5 PM on a Saturday and were the first ones there. We were seated immediately, and the service was very good throughout. The menu is huge, with plenty of options, and prices are reasonable for a specialty Thai/Asian restaurant in Orangeburg. We ordered both dishes at a mild spice level, and they came out perfect, just enough heat without being overpowering. Bottom line: the building could use some love, but don't let that stop you. The real treat here is what comes out of the kitchen. If you're in Orangeburg and craving Thai food, give Thai Orchid a try, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Four of us ordered filet - it was definitely not filet. As someone accustomed to choosing cuts from the butcher, this was not filet. Steak was horrifically undercooked. Raw on the interior and even pink on the outside. Sinew and veins visible when cutting into the pieces. The restaurant was filthy. Caked grime around the switches around the hoods. Under the counter at the seating station was filthy. Wood panels throughout the restaurant streaked with grease and filth. My hotel was 3.2 miles from the restaurant. I wasn't even able to make it to my room on the third floor and had to use the lobby bathroom. If you value your lower intestine and your experience as a paying diner, skip this place.
