Support small business! By the looks of it, this is a small family run business. Though small, there is some space for dining in. I took my food to go, as I live around the corner. The prices are average, but the real deal is the combo (2 rolls for $16 or 3 for $20-with miso soup added for just $1). There was one employee, I assume the owner, on property. He was business tidying up when I arrived (1hr before closing) but stopped when I placed my order on the kiosk. The sushi was good. The miso was great--though I wish there was more seaweed. I come to this spot everyday for my break during work and after. He is suppose to open until 9pm and take a lunch break up to 4:30. It is 5:50 and I waited just so I could get my food and he isn't here. He doesn't this a lot and it's very inconsiderate when he doesn't adhere to his own posted rules. The rolls looked carelessly assembled, as though fish and imitation crab had simply been tossed on top without any attention to detail or pride in the finished product. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, I have two pictures that tell the story better than I ever could. The sushi looked unappetizing, sloppy, and nothing like what I had come to expect from this restaurant. This is probably one of my favorite sushi place in North Arlington that isn't super expensive. For lunch they offer a special that you can get 2 basic rolls (any of the rolls that are specialties) for around $9.50 with tax. For 3 basic rolls during it will be about $12.50 with tax. Both lunch specials come with a miso soup. I got the salmon with avocado roll and the eel with cucumber roll as a lunch special. In addition I ordered the king tuna roll. In total it cost me about $23. Which is fairly cheap for good quality, freshly made sushi. Not to mention the rolls weren't super small and after I ate them I felt satisfied. Sometimes when I eat maki or nigiri at other sushi restaurants I am always left wanting more because the rolls tend to be made small. This results in me spending a lot of money on sushi. Here I don't have that problem because the rolls are a decent size. This place is perfect for lunch time because of the lunch specials they offer.
