We have been customers of Susan's for years now, and the company Always does a great job. Was there any you can tell that they are highly trained professionals, and the quality is always superior. We used another green cleaning service in the past and what a difference this company is compared to them. We were actually happy with them until we switched over to this company and saw what a difference there was. We also feel very safe with their covid-19 policies. The technicians are masked and have us fill out a form ahead of time as well in which we promise we will adhere to the guidelines. The office is very responsive to any of your needs and they do it with a smile. This company is simply the best there is in Seattle. They have different packages to choose from as well depending on the level of detail and thoroughness that you want. They also have these great things called task blocks in which you can add on certain tasks such as doing laundry, doing dishes, organizing, basically anything you want. We requested a deep cleaning of our (small) 3BR townhome. The crew came at the stipulated time. Took a little longer than expected (extra scrubbing required a second visit) but they kept to the estimate, so that's good and the quote was quite reasonable given how much this kind of stuff costs in the Seattle area. As for the cleaning quality, I'd say it was about 95% there but not perfection (I suppose nothing ever is perfect). A couple spots could have used more attention but it wasn't worth revisiting (and they did remove some nasty, really hard to remove stains that we'd been unable to remove ourselves). Susan and her team are simply amazing! Not only do they do stunning work - my place was clean beyond belief, but I was a very difficult customer as I was super stressed and overly controlling. They also cleaned our primary residence for a few years. Getting a home professionally cleaned is one of life's great luxuries. I've used other cleaning services before, which worked great before they didn't. I reached out to Susan's Green Cleaning because my previous service became flaky, and would regularly reschedule or cancel service. Susan's cleaners were right on time. Unlike another service I've used, there were two people cleaning simultaneously. This makes the service more convenient for me, because it means less time trying to stay out of the way in my own house. They were courteous, and did a great job. The thing I appreciated most, though, was the smell they left behind. My house just smelled clean; not chemically or overwhelmingly scented. I work for a contractor and we had a little mishap at a customers home. The master bedroom walk-in closet was completely covered in 4" of a dusty material, covering all of the clothes and coating the second story with a fine layer. Wonderful experience with Susan's Green Cleaning! My partner and I like a clean house, but hate cleaning (likely similar to over 3/4 of Americans). We were on the hunt for reliable, thorough, and affordable cleaners when this company came recommended by some friends. We booked our first visit and were instantly hooked. Cleanliness: Perfect! I needed to get a last minute cleaning of my house before I moved out and they paid someone to work overtime so they could clean my house the next day. I wasn't able to be home during the cleaning so they sent me pictures of before and after and my house was even cleaner than before I moved in! They also did more cleaning then I had paid for and didn't charge me extra as they knew I was tight on money. Amazing Mary Poppins approved cleaning and excellent customer service (the technicians as well as the office). I had been going to Susan's for a while but the account was handled by my sister who lived below me and I would just pay her. I moved into a new apartment and made some mistakes when I set up my new account leading me to a partial cleaning and the risk of having the apartment not fully cleaned by the time I have an apartment welcoming (nightmare I know;)!). Because they are so popular they were booked out for weeks before they could fix the issue. I called and quickly was transferred to Susan directly. She handled my request respectfully worked her magic for me and got someone to work overtime so I could get the rest of my apartment cleaned the next day. Their cleaning is fantastic and detail-oriented - they even do things like lifting up my electric toothbrush to clean the entire base. And all their products are eco-friendly and safe. Recommend to a friend!!! Also - Don't make my mistake! I recommend making sure to set up your first appointment on the phone so you really know what you are getting rather than estimating a time-slot online. It is best to do a deep clean to start so they get to know your apartment and then monthly/ bi-weekly after that. Avoid this company like the plague. They are expensive and careless. At ~$350 for 3 hours I would expect to come home and be able to *tell* that someone's actually cleaned my house. The first cleaning was excellent (they send in their real cleaners to hook you) but it all went downhill from there. I've been using them for ~1 year because I've been too busy with work to change...and each time I pointed something out Susan would be so nice about it. I was assured they would address one problem--only to neglect something else. Her team is friendly and polite--but terrible at their jobs. My husband and I travel a lot and are barely home and we also keep a very neat & tidy house. Apparently Susan's cleaners think they don't need to actually clean--they spend a disproportionate amount of time refolding towels, remaking the bed (the wrong way to boot!), and fluffing your pillows. Here are some of their greatest hits (Note: I have never asked for or been offered any reimbursement or discounts as a result of these problems): *Left the front door ajar and unlocked while I was on vacation - We came home the day after a cleaning and thought we had been robbed. Thank god nobody helped themselves to our belongings in the 30+ hours our house was open to the public. Also glad we didn't find wildlife inside. When I called, all I got was an "oh, sorry." *Screwed up my lockbox - The best part was after leaving my front door open, the cleaners jammed the key in the lock box so it couldn't be opened. I'm guessing this is why they couldn't lock the door...but nobody called or told us. *Skipped over obvious areas & lied about it - On numerous occasions her team would glance at a room and think, "Looks clean, don't need to do a deep cleaning here. I'll just fold the end of the toilet paper into a triangle. " For instance, I would find obvious toothpaste stains (made the morning before the cleaning) on my bathroom counter that hadn't been wiped away. To a careless/lazy person it'd be easy to miss because the counter is white marble. On another occasion there were a bunch of rings on the playroom basement floor from my toddler & his friend blowing bubbles the day before. After Susan's team left, it was so obvious that nobody mopped the floor (the gall considering I happened to be working from home that day). I called to let her know and ended up having to take pictures because her employee lied and was adamant she cleaned the basement floor. I took pictures and sent - there was no denying. *Can't follow instructions - I've asked Susan's team to clean upstairs first to avoid waking my toddler (my toddler comes home mid-day & naps immediately, around the end of the cleaning shift). On at least 3 occasions our son's caregiver told us that they *started* cleaning upstairs last (and banging the vacuum cleaner against his door while cleaning the hallways). *Changed cleaning times with little or no warning - There have been a few occasions when they were short staffed and had to rearrange cleaning times from morning to afternoon. One time this happened when I was trying to prepare for a dinner that evening (stressful when you were expecting your house to be cleaned by noon and the kitchen to be free) and another time this happened when I had planned to have family over in the afternoon. *Unprofessional - Before my last cleaning with her team, I asked Susan to focus on the shower her team had been consistently neglecting. I've always been polite about it. She agreed and then suggested I find another company. While she was right in this one case (and I have), it was totally unprofessional that she proceeded to cancel the subsequent cleaning appointments without notifying me. These are the most amazing people!!! Not only do they all do their jobs to perfection, they are wonderful with pets and are unfailingly wonderful to talk to. It doesn't matter which person or team comes to your house. They each provide a checklist of what has been done and they maintain their own information of the client's likes and dislikes, pet names, and other information that ensures that each client gets the best possible experience. I also love the flexibility in scheduling - in particular on short notice. Everyone on staff couldn't be better. Finally, I have to talk about the staff that visits the house. Susan and her team are AMAZING. I couldn't help but to write a review minutes after they left our place sparkling clean. Chris and Jeanne were thorough, friendly and left our place cleaner than I have ever seen it in over 20 years. First and foremost, Susan is incredibly kind and understanding. My grandfather recently and unexpectedly passed away. My family and I have been scrambling the past month. I decided it would be best to move in with my grandmother in the basement MIL space where I actually grew up in. My family and I have different ideas of cleanliness, and I can be a bit neurotic. Moving back in, I wanted a fresh start. Susan's Green Cleaning was referred to me by my aunt who is also, for lack of better word, a "clean freak". I am also in grad school (read: student loan debt) and can't afford to regularly hire cleaning services, so I try my best to do what I can on my own since I enjoy cleaning anyways. Although I haven't met Susan, she was so understanding and communicative over e-mail. She graciously went above and beyond to help me and my family in our current situation. I wish I could do more to thank her. Her generosity means so much to me, and I can't imagine having any other business in my home. Chris and Jeanne are miracle workers. The shower doors that I had been wanting to replace are now immaculate and saved from unnecessary dumping. Our stove that I was ready to throw out has also found new life. The floors are so shiny. Susan's Green cleaning is the worst service I've ever used. To begin with, the pricing is ridiculously expensive, higher than anyone else in the area. I was willing to pay beyond top price as they presented their expertise as outstanding. However the quality of the cleaning was inferior. Nothing looked clean. There was hair (not mine) left on the bathroom sink. Water spots showed on the shower floor that were not present prior. My wood floors were left sticky. Two people came and one person spent hours taking photos and documenting everything in my house for future use, rather then cleaning. They were in my house for four hours (paying for eight hours when normally one person can clean in three hours). Prior to arrival I provided my proof of Covid vaccination, although they would not offer the same, not even confirming that those coming were vaccinated. The team was so OCD about Covid for themselves that I was not allowed to be in any place in my house except a separated room on a separate floor or outside, even though I emailed my proof of full vaccination a month prior to cleaning. Their proprietary cleaning products including ionized water made surfaces feel dirtier then when they started. I keep a clean house, have no pets or kids, so it's easy to clean, but by every measure, I was beyond unhappy...still paying the insanely expensive bill. I spent two hours after they left recleaning the surfaces they cleaned to remove the sticky, hairy, spotted, mess. This business is all messaging about "green" and "full benefits for their well paid team" but did not respect me as their new customer or listen to any of what I valued. Unless you are so sensitive to any cleaners that you only use water in your house I can't understand the value. Even then, it's highly doubtful and you better not work from home. Regarding the Covid practices, I had a mask on and had an emergency plumber that needed to check my bathroom who was fully vaccinated and fully masked. I was treated terribly by the cleaning team that were arrogant and hardly worked. While the cleaning team decided to wait outside while the fully masked emergency plumber was in one of the bathrooms I received a very angry phone call from Susan. I could not wait to have nothing to do with this group again and highly considered just having them leave, which I should have done. I actually felt like I was being verbally abused in my own home. The team and owner are smug, arrogant, clean terribly, and charge 3 times more then other cleaners. I had no interest in having them come back to clean what was poorly done after the owner Susan angrily called me. I have no idea how they stay in business. Susan's comments are not accurate. They had double the people and time that any other cleaner has used to clean my house. They decide to step outdoors for 30 minutes because they would not be any place in the house with a masked and vaccinated emergency plumber assessing the upstairs bathroom (three level house). They wouldn't even allow me to be on the same floor of the house with them even though they had my vaccination card prior to coming. If the team can't come into a large house with three floors where one person is in the house for half the visit who provided proof of vaccination in their own home and had an emergency plumbing need requiring a masked and vaccinated plumber enter the house, then it is not a functional service unless you know a month ahead of time that no one will ever be in your house within a nine hour window. Keep in mind you can't make changes or you will be charged too. Everything is about Susan and her staff. Nothing is about the customer. I am writing this review only because I wish I knew how bad their service was. There is no axe to grind which is why I waited many months to review. However when Susan's sent me an email asking I review them I decided to communicate what I wish someone else had done for my protection. Buyer beware. Susan doesn't listen and hires a team that interacts as she does. As I look at reviews now where others have had bad experiences, as I did, Susan responds without ever taking any responsibly or acknowledging any of her customers needs. Her comments deny reality and then throw in any passive/aggressive undercutting argument in to try to undermine the credibility of the highly disappointed customer. This is how she communicates on the phone as well. My world view is to provide positive feedback. Hence this is the first time I've ever written a negative reviews. Additional comment: I do not live on Queen Anne. Posting pictures of any clients home is unethical. An additional area of safety/security concern was that one of the two people in my home spent most of the time taking extensive photos of my home without asking permission. From the get-go, the communication was great, and I had clear info about pricing and expectations. Susan's team came in Friday and did an amazing job! Very professional and personable; I walked through the house with Kelsi to clearly define the work to be done. The team got right to work and in a few hours, the place looked SO much better. Very happy with Susan's Green Cleaning; we hired them to come clean our house prior to moving in. Susan, the owner, is very responsive and scheduling was easy. Price quotes are accurate. On the day of cleaning, we had three cleaners arrive and each spent about 2.5 hours on the place. Overall, they did a great job although there were a few areas they missed, ie. dust behind the dryer, one corner of the kitchen counter with a good layer of dust. Not a big deal, its a 1800 sq ft house so I expected some of that. I would definitely bring them on again. read more

I decided to use Susan's because of their great reputation and their Eco-friendly approach to cleaning. I was very pleased with how the house looked afterwards, but I noticed that a picture that had been hanging on the wall had been damaged. I spoke with Susan (who was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the start in scheduling my VERY last-minute appointment!) and she apologized profusely and asked what she could do to rectify the situation. Since it was not my home, I knew I would have to leave some cash as an "I'm sorry" to my gracious hosts. I asked for this amount to be deducted from my bill and Susan countered with double that amount! Accidents happen when dusting, cleaning, and this was an old frame that was on its last legs. However, this is me saying that.. not the cleaner in an attempt to dodge responsibility. This review is a long time coming. My husband and I first scheduled a deep cleaning with Susan's Green Cleaning over a year ago. We requested quotes from a few companies, and SGC was reasonably priced, easy to work with, and clear in regards to what we could expect. With two of us working full time, and being in school, our house really needed the help. The other quotes were vague, and I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with any of the other companies. I'm so glad we went with Susan's Green Cleaning! The day of the cleaning, Susan and her staff did a phenomenal job. I could not believe how great our house looked. After that, my parents started using SGC services bi-weekly for their in-home daycare, and we have used SGC for periodic cleanings. Neither my parents, nor my husband and I have ever been disappointed! Susan is always a pleasure to work with, and she and her staff don't even seem to mind our dog!!  She and her staff have excellent attention to detail. They are able to clean areas I wouldn't even think of. We have a deep cleaning scheduled for the coming weeks to be completed prior to me being stuck at home after a medical procedure. I know that I will be able to relax knowing my house is spotless, and I won't be breathing in any harsh chemicals! The customer service is atrocious and they will smile while they charge you the full amount for a job they don't even do. Never use this service. EDIT: In response to a comment by the owner, let me clarify. I cancelled well within the 48 hours required, and they still charged me a hundred dollars fee. What's more, they TRIED to charge me $300 (they said that was the "full cost" of the cleaning, despite the fact that I just wanted a general 1 hour clean for a 1 bedroom apartment which I keep pretty clean all the time). She asked about the cleanliness of the apt on a scale from 1 - 10 and was able to provide a pretty accurate estimate. Throughout the cleaning, she sent me before and after photos. This was amazing since I was in NYC and the apt is in Seattle.
