He told me I could drop off my bike at any time. I wasn't able to bring it in that same week, but when I returned to town the following week, I tried to drop it off. Instead of reaching anyone, I was directed to a virtual assistant. I called repeatedly and left numerous messages before finally getting a response that they weren't accepting any new bikes until the following Wednesday. I explained that I rely on this motorcycle for DoorDash deliveries and that it's my household's primary source of income. Because the bike is broken, I can't work. Despite explaining my situation, I was simply told they weren't taking any bikes until the next week. The following Monday and Tuesday, I again called multiple times and left more messages. Daniel never returned a single call, and I still had no appointment or any clear communication. As a first-time customer, I expected much better communication and customer service. If you're too busy to take on new work, that's understandable, but not returning calls or keeping customers informed is frustrating and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I was left without a mechanic after being told I could bring the bike in, and the lack of communication has been extremely disappointing.

I had to make multiple calls and visits to get my plates, and another customer was complaining about the same while I was there making a purchase. Anyway...I called today to attempt to order a part for my bike, and the phone number and website is down. I found out through a comment on a Facebook post that they went out of business. On a good note, Coleman Powersports in Falls Church and Woodbridge are now Piaggio group dealers, so if you need to purchase, service, or get parts for any Piaggio bike, you can reach out to them.

Gear selection is limited to make finding what you want easy. The shop is very spacious to keep the space feeling more like a hangout than a warehouse for merchandise. A lot of the brands are not distributed by any other brick and mortar shop in the area (Saint comes to mind), and all are high quality and stuff you would actually buy. There is also a selection of supplies, which is targeted for members if the motorcycle club. They stock 15-50 boxer oil which is hard to find to support the boxer owners that are members. This evolving support is part of what makes membership valuable. Which brings us to membership. Half of the space is a members only garage which is available by signing up for one of a few membership tiers. Dues vary with access: higher tiers cost more and give you more time to make use if the garage space, use the wide assortment of shop tools, and in a few cases give access to specialized machinery. Classes that are made available to the public are offered to members at a discounted rate. It's common for 2-3 different projects being worked on, and collaboration is natural. The DC moto scene is small but welcoming, and Dunn Lewis is definitely a good place to connect. They offer events and rides that are available for anyone, and it would be hard not to get involved with DC moto clubs like dirt church if you hang around the shop. Mason and Laurel who run the shop are always available for tips on what's happening around the city and are a huge part of what make DLMC worth supporting. There's also great food and bars on the same block. Worth mentioning. As far as what could be better: it's a new space and features are growing. So if it doesn't have everything you need, you might have to wait for them to bring it in. But you only need to make the suggestion and it's something you'll probably see in the future. All moto and scooter riders are welcome. More than worth a look.

It was more than I expected, but I don't know much about car repairs, so I trusted their pricing. The AC was fixed and has worked well. Today's experience unfortunately made me question that trust. I needed a brake light bulb replaced. I had already removed the rear panel and screws myself and gotten almost all the way there--I just couldn't get the light assembly to pull free. I was quoted $160 to replace the bulb, and the amount of work involved was presented to me as though it were a complicated repair. I declined and went to Jiffy Lube. They replaced the bulb for $10.99. I completely understand that an independent mechanic has different labor rates and overhead, and I wasn't expecting them to charge $10.99. But $160 versus $10.99 for the same minor repair is a difference I simply can't reconcile. What bothers me most is that I was a returning customer who had already spent $2,294.89 here just six months earlier. This experience has now made me question whether the pricing on my previous repair was fair, too. A relationship with a mechanic depends on trust, and unfortunately this experience lost mine.

I first used this business in 2019, when an older Asian woman ran the shop. She was excellent. When I came back for more work in 2024, that lady had retired and the daughter of the owner had taken over the business. She was very nice person, but the quality of the work was not as good. Among the issues were parts left inside the trunk that presumably should have been installed inside the door and a poor job of color matching paint. One side of my car completely mismatched the other. Someone hit my car in 2025, so I came back out of loyalty and hoping that the previous experience was a mistake. It didn't work out that way: I got an insufficient quote, totally lacking detail. I was expected to pay upfront and get reimbursed by the insurance company. I ended up going to Imperial Auto Body on Chilham Road who were incredibly thorough. My car looked better than new and I can thoroughly recommend Imperial Auto Body. Sorry to see a once excellent local business take a downturn.
