Everything worked, they were courteous and friendly and respected the property by putting down tarps where needed and they cleaned up and swept before they left. We had been looking for a electrician we could always go to. Always helps to have someone to cover…read moreevery trade you may own when you have a home. So my wife found BMSE Electrical. While the initial work that he did was fine, the service afterwards leads us to that we can't possibly recommend them for electric work. We asked Brian to wire our living room from our office with cat5 as we had a need for a wired connection. He installed the wire and on the surface, it looked fine. When it didn't function properly, repeated emails and calls to Brian were yessed to death and left hanging. He even lied to say he stopped by our house and left a business card. I eventually diagnosed the problem that he wired the cat5 incorrectly as a crossover cable. Once I relayed this to him, still, he continued to blow me off. I even offered $10 for him to stop by when he was in the area to correct the job he had done wrong and he STILL didn't come. In the end, a friend recommended a crossover cable adapter ordered online and that fixed the problem (as 2 crossovers equals standard ethernet, so the adapter canceled out the crossover effect). So, after 4 months of trying to get Brian back here, I fixed the problem myself, at my own cost. Now, the cable has stopped working altogether and I have no reason not to believe it wasn't the poor job he did installing it. For that reason, I cannot recommend them for your electrical needs.

To begin with, it was easy to get an appointment quickly…read more Then, they texted me when they were on their way with a picture of the person, Joseph Nagy, who was coming to check my electrical outlets, install a light fixture in the living room and change the fan in the bathroom. Joseph came with another electrician (please forgive me for not remembering his name at the moment). They introduced themselves, were polite and professional. They gave me an assessment and an estimate of how much the job was going to cost before they did the job. That's a sign of professionalism and honesty. Once I gave them the "Go ahead," they were very thorough. The installed the fan and the light fixture (even though I had lost some of the parts for installing the light fixture), and they did a great job. They checked all my outlets to make sure everything in the apartment was OK. When they were done, they picked up and cleaned everything. I've dealt with many people who have come to my house before to fix other things, Joseph and the other electrician never made me feel, as others have done, like I should have known this or that. They are personable, respectful, responsible, and very competent and professional. They sent me an invoice right away and thanked me for using them. I am very grateful for the job they did, and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs good, professional and capable electricians.

Do not trust Andre. He'll cut corners and hope you don't notice…read more We hired A&H to install a complete Honeywell zoning system with matching dampers -- $2,750, paid in full. Andre measured our ducts himself, then installed a damper four inches too narrow for the main duct. Either he never checked, or he checked and installed it anyway. It took three months and his own technician to admit what was wrong. He ordered the correct part in May, told us it arrived in June, then never came back to install it. When I finally left a review, he answered within hours -- after weeks of ignoring my emails: "the review must be removed before we come back or Il just return it." Then, an hour later: "I don't even want to work for you at all... you can take a walk." Six months on, our zoning system still doesn't zone, we're paying to heat/cool two-thirds of a floor nobody is using, and the part we paid for is sitting in his shop.
