I contacted Hermann after finding his services within a google search. After receiving several bids for the work as well as understanding the turn around time involved, we were so surprised that he could complete this work within 2 weeks, the other service providers quoted over 6 to 8 weeks. I picked up the table top today and it is beautiful! Hermann and Angel Wood Refinishing as you did an outstanding job for us and we are thrilled to have it back so quickly. UPDATE FROM ORIGINAL REVIEW: Dan, the owner of Artex…read moreInteriors, reached out to me and made things right. He offered a full refund, but I felt it was only fair to take only a partial refund since the ottoman is completed and looks decent. I appreciated Dan's professionalism in the end and his making things right with me. I have changed my review from 2 to 4 stars and would possibly consider doing business again with him in the future. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The owner, Dan, came to my house to look at a large basic ottoman that I wanted made into a storage ottoman. He was confident in his abilities to do the work and told me it would take 2 weeks. I waited the 2 weeks, but when I called him to ask about delivery, I was told it was not ready. That was inconvenient since I had already made plans for the day of delivery and the day he said it would be delivered. 5 days later, my ottoman was delivered. There were huge hinges on the ottoman that were a total eyesore. I told Dan that the hinges should not be showing, and that a storage ottoman has hidden hinges. He told me he would order other hinges and bring them over to replace the ugly large ones. Almost 2 weeks later, actually 12 days, 2 people showed up with a very thin, continuous hinge for installation. They showed me what they were going to do, but decided it wouldn't really work. Plus, it wouldn't hide the large holes that had been drilled into the wood frame when the large ugly hinges were installed. They finally decided the best plan of action was to take the ottoman back to the shop and get a better hinge. The girl who came with the guy at this time told me I would be priority and that she would call me the next morning with an update. Nothing. No call. I was not surprised. I texted Dan the following day and asked him to call me. He said he couldn't because he was out of town. This was a Saturday, Sept 4th, and their hours state that they are open on Saturdays. After some back and forth, he told me he had ordered the parts and they would be in by Thursday of the following week. Well...... I finally heard from him again on Sept. 15th saying that the team was going to deliver the ottoman. Later that day, I was told it would be the 16th. Would you believe after being told originally that this entire job would take 2 weeks, it took over 6 weeks, and was returned with the original hinges. All they did was move them so they couldn't be seen as much from the outside?!? First of all, this company is totally unreliable, unprofessional, and cannot be trusted. Dan is an expert at talking his way around the lies he tells, probably because he's had a lot of practice. I simply became exhausted dealing with him. I gave them 2 stars because I'm a nice person and because the ottoman looks good (it was brand new when this ordeal started), except for the hinges that can still be seen. It can now be used as a storage ottoman, which is what I initially wanted. I just expected someone who was professional and someone who actually knew what they were doing since they said they could do the job. There was nothing and no one professional about this company. Please look elsewhere for any upholstery needs you may have.

I've worked with the Tub Guy (Andres) on a few projects, and I still stand by my Five Star review!!…read moreIn fact, I'd like to add another reason for it: Andres honors his warranty. If you're currently trying to choose the right refinishing company, ask about their warranty. How long it lasts? What's covered? Take the time to read reviews and see if that company actually stands behind it. Andres explains all of that upfront, in writing, but more importantly, he follows through when you need it, without having to chase him down. That level of service is rare. Between the quality of his refinishing work, respectful of my property, showing up on time, and his commitment to standing behind it, he's earned my trust. 100% would not hire anyone else. Knowing he'll be there again for my next project makes the investment completely worth it. TIP: The Tub Guy offers free estimates. You've nothing to lose to reach out and get one.

07-23-2025 Update to update…read moreJohn Less, owner, no longer uses the same phone number and will not return our calls relating to a $5000 floor job they did for us over a year ago. I know they may have a lot of good reviews, but it's the bad ones you need to pay attention to. They sent out a contraction to repair one small spot without telling me it would not be their company showing up. The contractor hired to help fix all of their mistakes/inferior or competent employees. Owner and Manager have admitted that the job that was performed at our house on our garage floor was not done properly and needed another coat of urethane on top. It has taken them over a year to respond just to tire marks that will not come off of our floor. we are very familiar with this type of flooring because we had the same stuff put in our other house 11 years ago and did not have one issue. We also used garaginization to do that floor so we used them again because we were happy with the first time. I spoke to the owner over a month ago." I told him they needed to hire someone to remove our items from our garage and place them back and they were finished correcting their mistakes. He said they would not do that because that was not in their policies. I said you are the owner you have the right to make exceptions. The only thing he's willing to do is put another coating of urethane on top, but expects us to pay to have it moved and stored in a small unit in our driveway all over again, even though it was obviously their mistake. Listen to your voice listen to this review because it can't happen to you. I have posted several notes with text messages and voicemails attached to this review so there's plenty of documentation to back up what I'm saying. If you are an upstanding company and make a mistake, I believe you should do whatever it takes to correct the problem even if that means moving the items in and out of the garage for the homeowner. Why should the homeowner have to hire someone to move the stuff again if they don't wanna do it, then he needs to compensate us for us hiring someone to do it either way he's not going to do anything about it, and expect us to move it in and out again.and do the right thing by the customer, especially when they spend a massive amount of money to get this project done and have admitted there was a mistake. The employees who laid the floor no longer work there I'm not sure why they left but they are definitely incompetent. If they have quality control measures in place they would not have this issue but they do not and they are terrible about communication and returning your calls. The only time I can get them to call me is when I leave an updated review. It's very sketchy when the owner's number belongs to someone else now. Is he hiding? Update Kidd finally came out and looked at floor and admitted it needed another coat of epoxy. I asked them to help remove the items since it was not our error and we already paid to have this service plus a storage unit to do it. He said they don't do that. I asked him to speak with the owner. Kidd said he was going to call my husband back that day since he arrived early at my house. They will not respond to calls or texts for over two weeks. We have been ghosted. Even though they admitted to failing to properly cover the floor, they will not return our calls. Terrible company Doesn't respond to calls or issues needing to be corrected. Rude office employees. Tire marks all over floor that can't be removed without acetone. Another company told me they did not apply enough top coat so tires will consistently leave permanent marks if not removed without acetone acetone. Didn't respond for over a year.
