Feel so fortunate to have found Cheryl and Thad at Restoration Plus. Cheryl was very professional and organized on the phone, setting up our appointment and following through with reminders. Thad did an amazing job on our tall case clock that received some minor damage in a recent move. In fact, he did such an amazing job that you cannot even tell where he touched up or repaired. Thad and Cheryl of Restoration Plus are good people. They came to my house to pick up the lamps and it was not creepy at all. Seriously, they are very professional - business cards - they wrapped my lamps in moving quilts to protect them in transit. I asked Restoration Plus to work miracles, to restore 2 antique lamps, rebuild the interior of an antique nightlight, and make an antique fairy lamp into a nightlight. Less than a month later my lamps were perfect and better than I dreamed, at a price that was extremely fair! When my lamps returned they were good as new! Truly beautiful! Highly recommend!!! The top of our mahogany China cabinet fell over during our move process, cracking in several places with glass shattered and front doors broken in several areas. During our move from California to Dallas this year, we suffered broken items. Anxious and extremely irritated with the moving company, we sought out companies who did professional repair of antique furniture. We cannot express the joy of having found this marvelous couple and their company, Restoration Plus. Having been exasperated by another restoration company, we searched and found this gem in Carrolton. It was a bit further out from where we live in East Dallas, but boy, was it worth the drive. We called ahead and made an appointment with a delightful woman named Cheryl. We brought two personally valuable and important pieces of wooden furniture to be inspected and to see if they could be repaired. And NOT just a 'glued together and painted' repair, but, a restoration repair. We also dropped off a brass 'valet' that we hoped could also be repaired. Cheryl told us she would look into its repair as well. We met and discussed our need with Cheryl and we completely satisfied that our items would be restored and restored professionally. We were given an extremely fair estimate of time and costs and turned our items over to Cheryl and her husband, Thad, for repair. We received a call today from Cheryl informing us that the items were ready for pickup. They did an amazing job on all items!! You would be hard-pressed to find where the damaged had occurred...and even then you may be wrong. Please see the photos attached. To say we were both overwhelmed and pleased by their precise work would certainly be an understatement. My couch cushion was ripped and I wanted it to last a few more years while I pay off some debt. I solicited 5 quotes. Three people responded that they couldn't or wouldn't do that type of repair.Another company wanted me to bring them the cushion AND wanted me to contact the original furniture store to get the fabric because they couldn't match it (and they wanted to charge me DOUBLE). Cheryl and her team came and picked up the cushion, repaired it using fabric from the "hidden sides" of the cushion (but patched that area with a comparable color) and was really reasonably priced. I highly recommend their professionalism and good work!!! I would've given 5 stars but I did feel 2 weeks was a little long to be without my couch cushion. I should've asked about time frames ; but the work was superb!!!!! read more

Highly recommend!!! One of our beautiful living room leather chairs needed repair. We called Restoration Plus based on all the great reviews for their services. They came and picked up the chair and let us know the time frame within which we could expect the repair work to be finished and the chair returned to us. To our delight, they were able to finish the work more quickly than anticipated and returned it to us days earlier than expected. The quality of the repair work was exceptional, and the men who brought the chair back were very articulate about showing us what had needed to be done. This company is stellar in the furniture repair industry. I sent them photos of the damage to my pub table from the moving company. I received a timely and accurate quote from Ms. Cheryl. She scheduled me a two hour window for repair and the technician arrived at the front end of that timeframe. The technician was polite and knowledgeable, he repaired my table and touched up my chairs without charging me extra. He even gave me a military discount after I asked. Our move from Kansas to Texas resulted in a lot of broken household items and furniture. Thankfully my husband's company took advantage of the moving company's insurance program. Restoration Hardware was assigned to us to assess and repair fixable furniture. Thad, Andrew and John assessed ouir damage in a timely manner. Seven pieces were restored to as good and better condition than before we had them moved. I liked how they took most of the pieces with them, then returned them restored and set them back up. I had a maitland-smith wood martini table that was damaged in shipping. It was really crunched. I thought there was no way that it could be repaired, but Thad assured me he could. 3 weeks later it looked brand new. You couldn't even tell it had ever been damaged. And I am VERY picky. It was perfect. He is a master craftsman. Every time I look at my table I am happy. He also repaired a pair of black Drexel Heritage side tables with gold leafing that had water damage. I recently completed a move from the East Coast during which an antique bronze floor lamp I own was damaged in transit. The feet of the lamp had cracked due to improper care by the moving company. Thad Giddens of Restoration Plus inspected the lamp and thought he could repair it and replicate the antique finish after doing so. The work completed was impeccable and I was very pleased with how professional Thad and his team handled the entire repair process.
