Based on the information provided by their employee, we did not feel the need to scrutinize the fine print on the invoice. When we later attempted to return the unused material, we were told there was a 14-day deadline and a minimum quantity requirement--neither of which had been disclosed to us before the purchase. To make matters worse, they also sold us the wrong underlayment for a wood-on-wood installation, forcing us to spend more money to buy the correct product elsewhere. Management had every opportunity to make this right but instead hid behind the fine print and blamed their supplier. No accountability, no customer service, and no attempt to resolve a problem caused by their own staff providing inaccurate information. If you expect a business to stand behind what its employees tell customers, look elsewhere.

After finding the best contractors based on our needs, we went in to find flooring. We were greeted by Destry who took the time to understand what our short term and long term renovation goals were before walking us through the store and recommending different products we might want to explore. We were given space and time to explore at our leisure, with Destry a few steps away for any questions that arose. Destry was also incredibly patient when we were placing our order and contemplated changing out one of the items. And once the hardwood was installed and we realized we were short one t-mold, Destry was quick to make some calls and get us another one within a day of reaching out. The overall experience was significantly less stressful than other places we had visited where we felt pressured into buying expensive flooring we don't need given this is a temporary flooring solution. We will definitely return when we are ready for our major renovation.

This is based on two things:…read more 1) because of the commitment of my sales rep, Zahra, who, despite having an ever changing order, payment delay and just pure confusion (from my end unfortunately), she was always consistent, respectful and understanding. Had I been in her shoes, I would have gone insane! I don't say this often, but after the 2-3 weeks I spent dealing with Zahra, I will say she would be a HUGE asset to any company and if you do call their, ask for her as she will go out of her way for you to make it the best experience possible. 2) The second reason, for the impossible 6 star rating is because of the owner's integrity. It is so rare to see this type of thing, especially in a situation where there is more money to be made if someone just breaks a promise. Had the owner of Mr. Racks not had solid integrity, I still believe I would be fighting to get about $45k back from a company that I was so naive to believe. This company was so much larger than me, and had no problem signing contracts that they never intended to honor, and having me secure materials using money that I even made clear, was coming from an e-trade account that I had setup for my children. Carey or no one at Mr. Rack's was even told any of this- bc it never was necessary. Then go to the office, tell them what you want and they will give you a ticket. You can also give the ticket to an outside employee. Move the truck to the designated location according to the employee's instructions. An employee brought the ordered gravel with a tractor and put it in my truck. There, I get a form with the weight written on it, and I take it to the office and pay it. There isn't much service every time, but I come here because my favorite gravel is here. I still need this, so please don't run out of stock.

When I first contacted the company I spoke several times with the owner. When I was ready to provide a drawing of a cabinet layout and move forward, he introduced me to the company's designer, Pat Bermudez. With Pat's help, I selected a style in the 1600 series by Bellmont, a local company. The 1600 series is mid-range with respect to price; I chose it over the more expensive 1900 series because of my preference regarding the material used to line the interiors. Pat made multiple iterations to the drawings as I refined the design. She was extremely patient throughout numerous small corrections and other modifications. Later, she arranged to meet me at a cabinet showroom so I could see the 1600 series in person. After the order was placed, Pat kept me informed as to the delivery window and eventually, the delivery date. The cabinets arrived on time, looking exactly as described on the Bellmont website. They were shipped to the house directly from Bellmont and arrived in perfect condition. After receiving the cabinets, I needed one additional piece of trim. Pat handled the trim order in the same attentive manner as the cabinet order. My contractor installed the cabinets and they look great. I highly recommend this company and would hire them again if I ever want cabinets by any of the manufacturers they represent.
