(In fact quite the opposite as they were very understanding and empathetic!) When we finally had someone over to service our system for the first time he was very punctual, informative, and courteous, honored our coupon, and did a great job! He answered all our many questions, was very detailed, and even followed up with an email suggesting a product we could install ourselves after discussing our request with the owner. He then went above and beyond but I don't want to be specific because I wouldn't want anyone to expect that level of service every single time - I certainly didn't expect it! (It was a great value as we had the HVAC/AC serviced and a new thermostat installed.)

Our AC started working again before they arrived, but we kept the appointment as they also offer checkups on HVAC systems. If it went out once, it could go out again, right? Thomas showed up on time, was courteous, didn't leave a mess going up into our attic, and gave us good information about the condition of our system and what we might need to look into replacing at some point down the road. When that day comes, we will definitely be giving Elevate a call!

Scheduling is a total crap shoot. The service today (Sept 2026) was completed for the AC side of the unit. This was third reschedule of our appointment. Technician arrived in company vehicle. Had a 'company' shirt on, but totally unbuttoned. After moving his van that he just parked in driveway (without asking and blocking both garage doors), he only had a t-shirt on (and his fancy gold chain). He then tells us he will need access to the claw space and all the attic. He needs to check the ductwork. They DIDN'T check the ductwork when they did the install, why does he need it now??? On the checklist of 'service' provided, checked that we needed surge protection on both units. Funny thing, we had to pay additional for them to add surge protector in our panel or there would be no warranty. And that wasn't cheap. I am unclear what we are receiving for this service plan...he didn't check any of our inside filters. Did 'clean' outside coil (with our hose) and sort of put the hose back (not well at all, just a pile). It's apparent, no prep for these visits occur, because we keep them and check them. What could improve??? Thanks for asking. COMMUNICATIONS! You are changing your process and adding ductwork to the plan, will need access. Cool, great, we will be ready. Actually keep scheduled appointments, that would be very nice. And maybe some retraining on professional attire??? We had to prepay the service plan. Are we getting any value from it? Hard to tell when there is zero consistency. We have our November 2026 heater service scheduled. Will update when (and if) that happens. The equipment has been fine, the cx, well it's been barely there.

As if that wasn't enough, he pointed out (politely!) that we were using the wrong size furnace filter--and replacing them more often than needed. He told me what size we should be using, and why, and where to find them. I could not be happier with these guys, and will absolutely be using them again for any and all of our HVAC needs.

Fortunately for everyone it was an easy repair and I had cold air coming out if my vents again. They fixed an aging air conditioner and fairly recently replaced my gas furnace and air conditioner. It was 29 degrees the day of service and I offered to postpone the service. They came anyway. They came a year later to do a courtesy check on the furnace and decided to wait for the check on the air conditioner when it would be more obvious that it was working as it should. Before they installed the new equipment I had asked if they would install an automatic cutoff device on the gas in case of an earthquake. They said they don't usually do that and I was okay with that. Then they called and said they had found the device and would be happy to install it. Recently I noticed that I had a lot of cold air coming in the cabinet above the stove microwave. I had had my roof replaced by Evergreen Renovations and Roofing and suspected that they hadn't hooked up the ducting and vent correctly. I had called the roofer and was told it wasn't their responsibility to hook it up but they would do it as a courtesy if the ducting was flexible. Western Heating and Cooling shared my thought that if you unhook somethinbg, you should reattach it. I didn't know who to call but I asked Western Heating and Cooling if they could check it out. While the roofer showed me a photo of a rigid ducting, the HVAC people showed me a photo of the ducting with a large hole in it. Once again, the weather wasn't ideal for them coming out. It was supposed to get to 102 degrees and I was concerned about their safety in my attic. They still came out, fixed the problem and even did some nice work inside the house around the duct in the cabinet above the microwave. I was thrilled. I asked if that job was something they would usually do and was told that, no, it wasn't. but they would do what need to be done to help me. They are polite and thoughtful about my property and keep me updated as to when they are going to arrive and, unless, there is a problem on the road, they have been prompt. I have recommended Western Heating and Cooling to many people and would highly recommend it to anyone needing their services.
