My family and I walked in to a nasty dining room. Once at the counter one of the employees was eating behind the counter in food prep area. That same employee started throwing food against the wall towards the trash can I guess. Over and over again. After staring the gentleman down for a few seconds. We turned around and left! First off... I payed $38 for a large cheese dip, two burritos, and two small drinks. Not awful price. There were 21 chips. Between two people. Awful servings. The service was pretty nice, and I will give them that. I go to the salsa bar. There's salsa everywhere. There's limes in the other salsa as well as the tongs. Do not recommend if looking for a place to dine in from afar. read more

Such as no steak,no chicken, no beef, no cheese, no lettuce, no beans, no rice, no guacamole, no salsa, no tortillas, no chips, no cucumbers, no limes, no queso, no drinks AT ALL, no plates. They are quite quick with preparation of food and its usually very yummy, filling and overall good. A nice stop for lunch or dinner.

The customer service is not bad at all, let me put that out there...but as person that grew up on authentic Latino cuisine, this just ain't it. The food isn't seasoned and is honestly quite bland. The portions are filling but again, just not tasty like the Mexican cuisine I've had the privilege of being accustomed to. In all fairness, I would recommended Surcheros to those who have certain restrictions on spices, or those who want to dabble in the experience of trying Mexican cuisine, but not to someone well-travelled or expecting true Mexican cooking. read more

This review is regarding online ordering. To keep the record clear I have never had a problem ordering in store. The food and service in store is always great but online ordering is very inconsistent. This has happened several times. What I'm referring to is not getting half of the things I ordered for my burrito and no meat whatsoever. Also I ordered a flour burrito and got wheat. Not sure if there is a problem with the online ordering or if the problem lies somewhere else. read more

My husband and I were really shocked at how much this restaurant has gone down. When your food inspector husband tells you that he will not be back due to the place being nasty then you know just how bad it was. Immediately when you walk in you can see the uncleanliness where the workers were fixing the food. This place has indoor and patio seating options. Parking in the front and back. I found the staff to be very friendly. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh. The reason I give this place 3 stars is because I found the food incredibly salty. A few of my friends did as well. It was still tasty, and I would give it another try for sure. I called in a Friday afternoon to get a catering order for the 30 person taco bar. I spoke with the shift manager and got the order together. She told me how much it would cost and I was blown away. I ask if they provided veteran discount and she said yes. She gave me the new amount and then said she would run my credit card later because there were customers at the register. The next day, one hour before pick-up I called and spoke with the same lady. She told me the order was ready with the exception of cooking the meat. I arrived to pick up the order and nothing was ready. It took 45 minutes with 3 customers in the restaurant. They weren't even busy, just not prepared. There was so little meat that I bought another $78 worth so there would be enough to feed everyone. I then went to the grocery store and bought more cheese. After getting home and looking at my credit card account she charged me $120 more than what she told me she was going to run on the card. Absolute disaster. Very little food for a whole lot of money and awful service. read more

My husband and I were in Douglas for business and found Surcheros on Yelp. The food was very fresh, the bar area was clean and neat, veggies were nicely diced. We dined in. Facility including bathroom was clean. My husband and I both liked what we ordered. I got the nachos and he got tacos. The steak and chicken were very flavorful and tasty. We were not crazy about the ground beef. We also really loved the organic drinks that were available. Thanks for that! We're really glad we found you guys. Will be sure to stop back in when we are in Douglas again on business which is quite frequently now. My only suggestion is may a little tad bit more training in customer service for the young kids that were working there. But other than that everything was great! read more

I'm surprised this is the first review, I visited this store that last time I was in Douglas about 6 years ago. This is a fast Mexican type of store in the vein of a Moe's Southwest Grill. They serve wraps (burritos), tacos, quesadillas, salads and nachos. From what I could tell, everything was as fresh as advertised. I had a steak burrito, and the quality of the meat was superb. Flavorful and tender. There is a greater selection of toppings than any other place I've been to. You even can choose from 4 varieties of tortilla. This is a quality place, and the only one like it in this small town. If you're passing through and hankering for a Chipoltle/Moe's/Qdoba type of place, you will not be disappointed with Ranchero's. read more

Very good. As we walked into the door my grandmother said oh no. She hates blue coast burrito and the setup looked just like it. As we went down the line ordering what we wanted and telling them what toppings we wanted on our taco salads we came to the cash register. $23 was an okay price for 2 taco salads and 2 large drinks. After we filled our cups up and sat down we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It tasted fresh and had a good flavor to it. My family and I have eaten heart about 4 times now over the past two months. It is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat. I can't believe I never tried Rancheros until recently but sure glad I did. Food has been good every time and usually there is a line suggesting the foods is good, which it is. I usually get the loaded quesadilla and it has been great every time. The only negative I will say is I think the cheese sauce is too high for the amount you get. Obnoxiously loud, terribly overpriced. Moe's without the catchy names for their food, all of which tastes the same no matter what you order.
