    Carnitas tacos, carrot-beet-celery juice

So fresh and tasty! Tortillas are so soft to the touch, and the veggie juice got me right.

    Clean nice place

My second time in a long time. This place is amazing. The food is very fresh and the cook comes out to make sure you love his food. He said everything is cooked to order. The masa they use for tortillas is the best. It's not that cheap masa. We will make the 1 hour drive to come back for sure.

Mexican style street tacos (with chicken, onion, cilantro, lime).

I like to think I'm a Mexican food expert (well, as much as one can be who is from Maine). The Mexican street tacos were authentic and delicious. I ordered my husband the 3 taco special (asada) with rice and beans. He personally thought they were 4 star tacos, but I tried them... they were delicious (just more of a Tex-mex style taco with cheese, sour cream and lettuce). Just a different style of taco than he's use to. The chips and salsa were fresh. The inside of the restaurant was a cute, rustic style. We took it to go because we had our dog and there is no outdoor seating.

Clean, comfortable. Food is great (we got the individual tacos of cow's cheek, tongue, head and tripe, and tacos dorados, which is fried tacos). Fresh juice bar, and they serve those cut up fruit with seasonings... yumm. Place is a bit awkward and not on main road but worth going there for lunch time (it's a small town, you wont waste more than 2 minutes going out of your way).

    Asada Steak Tortuga! Fantastic!

Had the Asada Steak Tortuga and it was fantastic! The Salsa wasn't my favorite, but wasn't bad at all. Definitely going back to try the Burrito and some Tacos. Several types of meat for tacos to choose from as well (some I won't try - Cow Tongue, Cow Cheek, Cow Chittlerings). I would recommend you try this hidden gem if you like Mexican or something different from the standard restaurants in Douglas.

We were in town to hunt and needed a good dinner. He had been here before and his wife really likes this place too. This place was decently busy which is always a good sign. Douglas is also a small town and limited options also tend to make places busier. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and opted to sit at the bar. We didn't have any drinks but instead stuck with water. Our server was around quickly and took our orders. We both got Tacos Mexicanos. Mine were with Al Pastor and my buddy got Chorizo. I ordered a side of the beef enchilada and my buddy ordered a queso Blanco with chorizo in it. We are also given a basket of chips with a fresh and tasty salsa. This was excellent as well. Our sides were up first. The enchilada was colorful and hot. It came out on a piping-hot plate. Covered in melted cheese and sauce. This simple, small but tasty enchilada was stuffed with fresh ground beef. The wrap it was in was tasty and for only $1.95, this was definitely worth it. The tacos came out soon after. Three tacos, decently sized. A fresh lime squeeze and a drizzle of verde sauce to top them off. The Al Pastor was perfectly cooked, tender and well seasoned. The meat was savory and had a hint of sweetness. These tacos were also topped with fesh cilantro. They hit the spot and were some of the best I've had. We will be back here for sure.

There wasn't many people in the restaurant when we arrived. So it wasn't like he was busy. He was very friendly and polite. The place was clean.
