I stopped in on a Saturday around 5pm. I ate at the bar, and there were a few other people there. The restaurant was also very busy and they had some kind of event going on in one of the rooms with a large table. The bartender brought me chips and salsa as soon as I got my drink. The salsa was sooo flavorful, and wasn't spicy. I ordered some queso to go with it, and it had good taste but was a little watery for my liking. I also ordered a beef chimichanga with beans on the side instead of the rice. The chimichanga was so good! The meat was very flavorful and had cheese inside also! The service was very friendly. I gathered that it's run by a family- several sisters were taking care of the guests. It seems to be a staple in the neighborhood as everyone who walked in said hello to someone else and went to their own tables. I would definitely return and recommend to others. read more

This place was the best! My Big Man & I sat at the bar & we were met with immediate friendly service. The draft beer was poured into a chilled (frozen) mug that created the best little ice slivers. The Big Man got the Famous La Lomita Burger lunch Special & I got the lunch special #1 - a taco & an enchilada. Both were so good & very fresh. We've never had a "Mexican Burger" before .... We will be back for another! The taco and enchilada were delicious, the only reason we didn't finish them was bc we were both so full. The service was great. The restaurant atmosphere was great. Our hist knows the owner of La LoMita real well. He called him and said he needed fajitas for 12 people. In an hour the owner Mario was helping us load up pans and trays of food. The tortillas look hand made and everything is authentic. We had plenty to eat for two or three meals. Mario and his staff are super friendly and they keep that place clean. Was visiting Fitzgearld for a soccer tournament and found the place off the beaten path and have to say they have some of the best burritos that I have had in a very long time. Place does not look like much and it is split between a hispanic grocery and restaurant but have to say the food here was excellent. read more

This was such a pleasant surprise!!! Came out here with my fiancée and her family. Even though they were about to close for an hour they still sat us quickly and the girl serving us was really good. Matter of fact she was the only server we saw but she was right on top of it. We ordered a variety of meals from taco La Lomita, enchiladas, fajitas, nachos, and taco salad. Stopped in for lunch on our way north and had a very yummy meal. We passed on the buffet and ordered off the menu. Mrs had enchiladas (lunch special) and I ordered the huevos con bistek (philly steak and eggs). Both came with rice and the eggs came with beans. Plenty of food for the price (plus the free chips and salsa) with very good flavor. We don't find ourselves in Fitzgerald often but if we're back there again we will eat here again. read more

This is literally the best authentic Mexican restaurant there is. They have excellent service, they're food is amazing, and they keep their restaurant super clean.
