I've been going to the RD in Colonie NY pretty regularly -- once every two to three months -- for…read moreabout five years. First of all: top grade fair trade organic coffee beans for staff coffee -- less than what you'd pay for Folger's in the grocery store. Second of all: year-end accounts -- every transaction for your records printed out on real paper or sent to you via email. Good-bye shoe boxes full of fading cash register receipts! Third of all: epoxy-coated metro racks and commercial dish racks -- extremely important supplies for a growing on-farm yogurt-maker such as ourselves. Not to mention cleaning supplies & low cost high-concentrate Clorox. Nitrile gloves. 5 gal pails of laundry detergent for uniforms. Fourth of all: BAZZINI NUTS. OMG. Our dairy workers love them. Cashews, pecans, walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds -- expensive, but again not nearly what you'd pay in the grocery store, and top quality. Also, no mess no prep, just grab a handful of nuts and people happily keep working. Great perk, keto and vegan. High fiber & good healthy fatty acids. Fifth of all: TEH SPOOMS. You know how you're doing in-store demos and tastings and festivals and yada yada yada and everybody's always running out of spoons? At RD, you buy one box, and there are TEN THOUSAND of them. Buy two boxes, you will never run out again. Sixth of all: the focus on supplying small local businesses, and the awesome diversity of customers. It's like the United Nations in the checkout line, with restaurateurs and store-owners from Africa, the Caribbean, Italy, Asia, India, and the Middle East stocking up on peppers and big bags of ginger and garlic and meats and cases of coconut milk and spices and things I don't even know the names of or what they're used for. (hint: ASK!) There's an energy about the place. I like it. But I saved the best for last -- the incident that prompted me to write a review. As I was checking out last time I was there, the cashier said there was some kind of problem with my account showing up on the register. Apparently, I'd left two small items in the U-boat when I was loading up my car the visit before -- eight or ten weeks before. They'd retrieved them when they were collecting the U-boats, correlated the items with recent purchases to my account, and noted it in the computer. So at the check-out the next time I was there, they said they could either give me store credit, or I could get those items I'd already paid for. SRSLY. They even let me run back from the check-out to get them, which did not take long bc I knew exactly where in the store they were. You know, this was only ten, fifteen bucks worth of stuff. Whoever got the U-boat out of the parking lot could have easily just pocketed the nice little box of sea-salt and the wheel of brie. But no! They cared! They did the right thing! My account was credited. Whatever the perception of the shopping experience at RD other people have, I experienced this insanely exceptional customer service. And, THE HONESTY -- I really appreciate the honesty. And also I appreciate the systems design that allowed me to be notified at the register on a little green screen. Nothing fancy. Just good.

I'm a lawyer by day, but an amateur chef by night. Having worked in several commercial kitchens in…read morethe past, I know my way around quality tools and kitchenware. I needed a couple of items recently so I stopped by here to explore the shop, and I was overwhelmed by all of the things they had. It was like I was back in a restaurant. They are stocked from floor to ceiling with metal serving pans, knifes, mixing bowls, scoops, spatulas, glassware, tongs, and anything else you can think of. Although the prices aren't marked, which is kind of annoying, they will sell you everything at remarkable prices. I imagine if you bought in large quantities you would receive even better discounts. I went and picked up a #20 scoop, a heavy duty burger flipper, a silicone baking mat, a large metal bowl, and a red ketchup squeeze bottle. There were at least another dozen things I didn't need but did WANT... and I might go back for them. The staff were super friendly, no doubt because they were enamored with Harrison. They answered my questions, and even gave us a few gifts for stopping by. I did experience a few downsides. As noted above, prices aren't marked. Also, they don't sell "disposables" so the half-pan pre-cut parchment paper sheets I wanted weren't there. The same with bamboo steamers (though a nearby Asian market will fill that need). And, they are only open M-F during normal business hours, so weekend or night trips aren't an option. This place is like a well stocked tool store. You know you don't need everything, but you sure want it "just in case." I went to the Danger Zone... and barely made it out! Highly recommend.

Horrible customer service. I ordered 117 dollars worth of coheed and cambria comics from them last…read moreyear and half of them came bent and damaged. I emailed and asked for a replacement. I was told to send pictures of the damage and invoice. After I sent those I was told since I paid for the insurance I was able to file a claim. So I filed the claim. Then I was emailed again saying the pictures weren't good enough so I should take videos of each comic and send them. So i tried but the files were too long and wouldn't sent. This went on for 20 days and I never got any help so I gave up. I just recently pre ordered a record and shirt from a band I love and didn't realize it was the same company. The record arrived in good condition but the print on the shirt was crooked and off center. I emailed them and was told because of the brand of shirt being on comfort colors sometimes they look off but they're not. I was asked to send a picture so I did. I was told it still didn't look off so they asked if I could send another. I used a grid to clearly show the design was off and sent the picture along with an explanation about how they are the same company that refused to help me last year and that I shouldnt have the jump through hoops and send multiple pictures and emails over and over to get an item replaced. I told them I was going to report them to the BBB if I dont get it resolved. They responded with the BBB is a scam and you have to pay to have a good score with them. They said I never said I wouldnt help you I just needed to see a pictured where it was off. I'll refund you and that will conclude our business together. I dont complain about much ever. I wont even send my food back if its messed up at a restaurant, but no one spending their hard earned money should have to deal with a company arguing with them and having to send multiple pictures and emails to get an item replaced.

The bands they are printing for have been contacted. The record label(s) they are working with have been contacted--directly. Screen shots of all communications were sent over to their management teams and business teams. It's just a matter of time until these bands and labels cease doing business with this complete "fly by night", scam of an operation. What a scam.

The first is simple and contemporary, the second involved an intricate pattern of colorful tiles forming wall-size images. Sara worked with us on the design, asking many questions to understand our aesthetic aims and practical needs, and offering a variety of options for us to choose among to achieve our goals. She also provided a variety of very effective ideas and solutions, considering the physical constraints of the (relatively small) spaces, to ensure the best use of spaces and to create a very open feel in both bathrooms, all in a cost-effective manner. The actual construction was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who were not only highly-skilled but also friendly, considerate of our needs, and responsive to our questions and concerns as the projects progressed. Particularly impressive, amazing really, was the tile work performed by Cliff. The colorful bathroom involved laying more than 1,000 tiles, and cutting more than 100 tiles to create the intricate design. It also involved the fitting of the many tiles to very close tolerance specifications. Cliff was both masterful and highly conscientious in completing this tile work. The result is stunning. In addition, along the way in both bathrooms, specific questions arose about alternative approaches to implementing features of the design. Cliff identified and raised these questions for us to think about, and he offered aesthetically pleasing solutions. In short, Cliff's work was thoughtful, technically masterful, and informed by his strong sense of aesthetic beauty. We are most impressed by Kitchen and Bath World for their general approach, their implementation, and the final product in renovating both bathrooms. Kitchen and Bath World has our highest recommendation.

I chose them over a competitor twenty-five miles closer to me because of their reputation for honest dealing and skilled service technicians. Over the past twenty years, I have found this to be the case. I recently replaced my original dw with a new Asko from Ackerman's, whose technician and I ran into problems that called for an oscillating saw (neither of us had one and it would have taken an hour to locate and obtain one from a neighbor) but were solved with hammer, chisel, muscle, and skill (none of it mine). Really impressive.
