It's conveniently located right by both 87 and 90, so I am sure that explains the long gas lines. Only times I have not waited in a long line here is very late at night and occasionally in the mid afternoon. The club store is okay and typical of BJs but cashiers often seem distracted and chatting among themselves more than helping customers. If you come here for gas allow for an extra 5-10 minutes waiting in line.

You would think between BJ's and DoorDash one of them could check the order??? I'm paying a $15 delivery fee and then tipping the driver over $17 I should not have to run up to the store to get my missing items! When I tried to talk to them about it they didn't seem real interested. Since it's the same item as last time I'm thinking maybe DoorDash just doesn't want to lift a case of water but you know what? Neither do I that's why I ordered it for delivery. So just a heads up if you order a case of water for delivery with everything else you won't get that. You will either have to call them and get a refund or run up there yourself and get it. I feel like I should be compensated in someway, like return of the delivery fee or something. Grrrrr

I needed a couple of items recently so I stopped by here to explore the shop, and I was overwhelmed by all of the things they had. It was like I was back in a restaurant. They are stocked from floor to ceiling with metal serving pans, knifes, mixing bowls, scoops, spatulas, glassware, tongs, and anything else you can think of. Although the prices aren't marked, which is kind of annoying, they will sell you everything at remarkable prices. I imagine if you bought in large quantities you would receive even better discounts. I went and picked up a #20 scoop, a heavy duty burger flipper, a silicone baking mat, a large metal bowl, and a red ketchup squeeze bottle. There were at least another dozen things I didn't need but did WANT... and I might go back for them. The staff were super friendly, no doubt because they were enamored with Harrison. They answered my questions, and even gave us a few gifts for stopping by. I did experience a few downsides. As noted above, prices aren't marked. Also, they don't sell "disposables" so the half-pan pre-cut parchment paper sheets I wanted weren't there. The same with bamboo steamers (though a nearby Asian market will fill that need). And, they are only open M-F during normal business hours, so weekend or night trips aren't an option. This place is like a well stocked tool store. You know you don't need everything, but you sure want it "just in case." I went to the Danger Zone... and barely made it out! Highly recommend.

I was at the Co-op the next day. A variety of their breads are located in a shelf display across the aisle from all the other breads. I saw sandwich rolls, French baguettes, plain sourdough, three seeds sourdough, whole wheat sourdough, plain challah, everything topped challah, and a couple of variations that I don't recall. Some of the loaves are also available in half-loaf sizes. I purchased a loaf of 3 Seed Sourdough ($8.69) and a loaf of Everything topped Challah ($7.29). Both are excellent in their own right. The 3 seeds on the sourdough are organic dry roasted pumpkin, organic dry roasted sunflower, and organic golden flax seeds. Anicca makes a point of stating that they make every attempt to obtain all their ingredients within 200 miles of the Troy bakery. The sourdough has a nice chewy crust and a decent sour flavor. The challah has a softer crust than the sourdough, just a bit of sweetness and a slightly lighter colored crumb. The challah is also double bagged for some reason. The loaf is placed in a plastic bag before it is placed in the outer paper bag. Maybe that was to protect the everything topping? If you visit their web page https://aniccabakery.com/ you will learn that you can order online and pickup your order at Alias Coffee Shop in Troy. You may also notice that their web page does not mention all the varieties of bread that I saw at the Co-op and shows a more limited production schedule. Maybe their web page is just not up to date. Another issue I ran into was knowing whether the bread was fresh. Glancing at the information on the label of my two choices, I saw that the sourdough was labeled as "Date Baked on10/29/25" (GREAT! That was today), while the challah was labeled as "Date Baked 10/30/25." WAIT!!! How can that be? 10/30/25 is not until TOMORROW!!! I checked several other packages and found that all the packages of challah were labeled with tomorrow's date. As an aside, does that mean I wouldn't be able to eat the challah until tomorrow? LOL Or better yet, if I eat it today does that mean the carbs don't exist yet? Still, LOL. In any event, a Co-op employee noticed my confusion and insisted on informing management while wondering if this meant the sourdough could have actually been sitting on the shelf since 10/28/25. Today or not, but probably tomorrow also, both breads were excellent. I'm looking forward to trying a whole wheat sourdough.

Having just come from Trader Joe's on Wolf Road, I noticed some profound differences including: --Really high prices at Whole Foods. For example, quality Lasagna I buy regularly at TJs is $7.99. A comparable Lasagna at WF was $13.99! Really? Same size. --Many aisles were blocked with very large carts used by staff for restocking. Traffic jams! See photo. --Stock is displayed on shelving that goes from floor level to about 10 plus feet high! You need to get someone with a picker tool to reach items on top shelves. It was uncomfortable to get the items practically on the floor on the lower shelves. Not accessible to those with back issues. I had planned on getting some prepared food from the self serve food section, but at 11:20 am none of it was out on the steam table. Salad Bar was available, but did not interest me today. I'm a HUGE fan of chocolate peanut butter pie so you know I have to judge. This one was ok but nowhere near as good as the one I make at home. The chocolate crust was VERY dry and was all crumbs when I put my fork into it. I had to use the filling as a paste to get the crust in one bite. The flavor was eh. You can definitely tell that they use healthier ingredients which makes it lack in good flavor. When I make it at home the crust is never crumbly and the flavor tastes like actual peanut butter and chocolate, not like a diet taste. Probably wouldn't get it again. It comes off as a fake chocolate peanut butter pie and it's not worth the calories. Next time I'll just get a Snickers bar or something from the mall next door.

First off let me start off by saying that the appearance of this place is not horrible, but not good either I understand that you're walking into basically a warehouse turned into a grocery store. My only issue is that it's still looks unkept in a lot of areas. They do have a machine that goes around and does inventory and it does not care that if There's a customer in its way it just plows right through you. I had my cart and was looking at ribs and it came around the corner and kept coming until it hit me not hard, but in other words, it wasn't moving from its path, which is strange to me because I see it move other times and I'm not exactly a small person. Another thing that I'd like to add that lost a star for me is the fact that you would think that with this you're buying in bulk to save money. I was looking at the ribs there and we ended up purchasing the ribs. We ended up getting less than what we originally planned . Also, it was hard to find what we were looking for because they were all over the place one was in one section another, and another section instead of just having them all together. And then when we went to another store, I found ribs that were actually cheaper and a better quality, but because we already purchased them, we did Not Buy the ones that were there. Overall, it does have pretty much everything that you're looking for it's just a matter of how much you're willing to spend and is it really bulk or are they saying bulk but not meaning bulk. Check it out if you're ever in the area make a decision on your own. It's not a horrible place. Just some things that could be improved. Thank you for listening.

When I walked in someone asked if I needed help, and I explained what I was looking for. Actually, I explained it three times because the person seemed to have trouble either hearing me or understanding English. I can't put my finger on it, but it was a bit frustrating. I first asked if they had assortment boxes and she went to check. She came back and said no, so I asked for specific sizes which she had to check. Finally, she brought everything they had out. I asked for two packages in each of the two sizes I needed, but they only had one of each so I bought both. Their credit card machine wasn't working right and it took multiple tries with multiple cards to get the deal done. I had some free time while they were searching for stuff so I looked around. This place sells a motley collection of things such as tools (wrenches, saws), hardware (caster wheels, chain), adhesives (caulk, Loctite), and power tools. Many of the things had a coating of dust, and nothing was priced out. For a place like this, customer service is important. Not only did it take them 20 minutes to get my transaction done, but another commercial customer who needed help couldn't get the information he needed on some products. Did I mention that there were 5 employees in the store this morning, but they were more interested in the Halloween donuts that someone had brought in. I should have just bought the stuff online. McMaster Carr has the same things for seven times less. Service is fast. Payment is easy. I can only recommend coming here if you know what you need, know that they have it, are willing to pay cash, and have some free time.
