I had him put in Garrison engineered wood flooring in two bedrooms to try to match my existing wood floors in common areas along with a baseshoe to cover the gap between the floor and baseboard. He was able to keep the floor flush in one bedroom, and added a transition for the second because the subfloor had poured concrete and was higher than the landing. His 5-star Yelp reviews initially prompted me to request a quote, but it was his outstanding customer service, responsiveness, communication skills, and thoroughness that ultimately earned him the job. David was great to work with - he gives it to you straight, gave a very competitive price. There was no pressure to work with him, but he always answered every question before we committed, and continued to communicate regularly throughout the project. He gave an estimated time frame and they beat it by a couple days. They were very accommodating on start date when we asked to move it up, and were happy to work with our schedule when other parts of the house weren't ready for them. Some contractors come one day and dont come back for a couple days - they showed up every day they said they would be here. The crew, Peter and Miguel, worked well together and so they were able to move through the project quickly. The finished product looks great thanks to their attention to detail. Another thing, we were living there during the flooring and they were very understanding and happy to work with us on minimizing the disruption to our home. Lastly, for the material, they referred us to a place nearby that had a great selection, and great price. Would highly recommend Lam's Flooring to anyone who needs flooring work done.

They really take pride in their work and their brand. We asked very detailed question about the job and it was clear the way co-owner Larissa answered them demonstrated her expertise and depth of experience. Larissa has artistic flair so her input was spot on when we contemplated the type of flooring and how it should be installed. She and her husband (also co-owner) were such a joy to work with too. Their crews came when they said they would, they were hard-working and did a great job with their clean up. Our wood floors and carpet on our stairs came out so beautifully. The best part was that it was such low stress event because we felt like we were in good hands throughout. I'm grateful to have found J&L Innovative Flooring and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for flooring experts. They are in a league of their own.

After a slab leak in our kitchen, we had to replace the engineered hardwood flooring throughout the…read moreentire first floor because our existing flooring had been discontinued. Before finding J&L Innovative Flooring, I had already met with four different flooring companies for in-home estimates and had a good understanding of the costs involved. I was actually planning to hire another contractor. On a Friday afternoon, I called J&L Innovative Flooring and spoke with Larissa, the owner. She was out of town until Tuesday, so I honestly told her I didn't want to waste her time since I had already received multiple estimates and was leaning toward another company. She completely understood but offered to give me a general estimate and explain her scope of work over the phone. Shortly afterward, Larissa texted me a detailed estimate and outlined the work she recommended. I then spent time reading through the company's reviews and found countless satisfied customers. That convinced me to schedule an in-home consultation, and our family is so glad we did. When Larissa came out on Tuesday, I asked countless questions about floor preparation, moisture barriers, moldings, transitions, and the installation process. She answered every question thoroughly and emphasized doing everything according to the manufacturer's installation requirements and warranty. It was immediately obvious that she has extensive knowledge and experience. Unlike many contractors--including one I had previously hired--she wasn't interested in taking shortcuts to save time or money. Just by inspecting our existing floor, she recognized that our concrete slab would require leveling. She assured me that concrete leveling (within reasonable limits) was already included in her estimates at no additional charge. That level of honesty and professionalism immediately earned my trust. Our project also had some unique requirements. We needed the installation completed in two phases because one room was being used to store appliances and furniture. I also wanted to use the same flooring system that had protected our home during the slab leak: Bostik MVP4 moisture barrier with Bostik Best adhesive. Although many installers now use newer systems, this was the system I trusted most and to me worth the increased expense. I also wanted to purchase the flooring materials myself because of an existing relationship with a flooring supplier. Larissa happily accommodated both requests. She even contacted several of her own flooring suppliers to make sure I was getting the best possible pricing. She ultimately matched the same discount (never told her the price)I I was receiving on the engineered hardwood and secured excellent pricing on the adhesive and moisture barrier. It's clear she has strong relationships throughout the industry and genuinely looks out for her customers. Her knowledge on various flooring manufacturers is truly amazing. Most flooring contractors will push u into a certain wood manufacturer that they could make the most commission on but with Larissa u can choose whatever you want and she will try to get you the best deal. For the installation, Larissa assigned Enrique, who has more than 20 years of experience. From demolition to floor preparation, installation, and baseboards, Enrique worked with incredible care and precision. He carefully protected our kitchen cabinets and preserved our bullnose stair nosings instead of taking the easy route and replacing them. Our slab required extensive leveling and sanding before installation. Enrique took his time to ensure the subfloor was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully selected the best-looking planks for the most visible areas of the house. That level of planning and attention to detail is something many installers simply don't do because it takes extra time. One thing that really stood out was that Enrique hand-wiped every single plank after installation while working on his hands and knees. That's over 1,600 square feet of flooring cleaned one plank at a time. Watching that level of dedication was truly impressive. Throughout the project, whenever an issue came up, Larissa immediately found a solution. At one point I forgot to order the T-moldings from the flooring manufacturer, and they were on backorder for two weeks. Rather than delaying the project, Larissa leveraged her network to have a custom T-molding made and professionally stained within just two days. It's rare to find a contractor who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing things the right way. Larissa and her team exceeded our expectations from start to finish. If you're looking for a flooring contractor you can completely trust, I highly recommend calling Larissa at J&L Innovative Flooring.

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at Nemeth Family Interiors…read more When I arrived, I greeted the woman at the front desk and offered my hand. She declined to shake it. I found the interaction unnecessarily dismissive and disrespectful, particularly given the circumstances of the visit. I also noticed what appeared to be a large, dirty bowl of leftover food sitting on the floor in the office/showroom area. That added to my negative impression of the environment. I later raised my concerns with the owner, Dave. We discussed the incident, including whether I would receive an apology from the employee involved. I was told that an apology would not be provided, although I was told she felt bad about what happened. I'm sharing this because my experience was genuinely disappointing. People can make their own judgment about the interaction, but I personally would not choose to do business with this company based on how the situation was handled.

Installation kicked off right on schedule. Alex's crews showed up early each morning with smiles, set clear expectations for the day, and--my favorite part--left the site spotless every evening. No sawdust trails, no empty coffee cups, just tidy floors ready for the next day's work. The installers were polite and happy to answer my many questions about care and maintenance. A special shout-out to the team member who tackled the staircase: the precision on each tread and riser is next-level. Friends keep asking if the stairs were custom-built! The new baseboards tie everything together with crisp, clean lines that make the room feel finished and elevated. Bottom line: if you're hunting for competitive pricing without sacrificing craftsmanship or communication, call Aesthetic Flooring. I am glad this ended on a good note, since other than the communication issue, the floors look amazing, and his team worked hard and quickly. His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. I understand that things come up and he could be busy but the non-responsiveness for two weeks is clear.
