But my usual place wasn't available to do my eyebrows before my trip tomorrow so I very nervously looked on yelp to find a place with good reviews near me made an appointment online and THANK BABY JESUS I found Jill and gave her a chance. If you're looking for someone for waxing, I would just tell you to go here and do not waste your time anywhere else. Even better-she has her own studio so you get privacy and a 1:1 experience. Pro tip: When you walk in, hang a right and she's to the left.

I walked in a little nervous and uncertain... but then I met Jasmine, and within moments I felt completely at ease. She has a way of making you feel seen, welcomed, and genuinely cared for--not just as a customer, but as a person. Her patience and understanding were so comforting, and she approached everything with such kindness that I felt like I was reconnecting with someone I'd known for years. There was an unexpected sweetness to the experience--like a reunion with a lifelong friend who somehow knows how to make you laugh even when you're bracing for a wax strip. Yes, I might be as hairy as a bear, and yes, the place is called The Bare Affair, which is hilarious and fitting... but somehow it never felt clinical or superficial. Jasmine turned something as silly as nose hair maintenance into a moment of trust, connection, and genuine friendliness. It's rare to feel that cared for in a service setting. And I have to mention: Jasmine's resemblance to a certain celebrity had me momentarily wondering if I'd stumbled into a secret, glamorous alter-ego--but in the end, I realized that she is the star in that space. It wasn't just who she looked like, but who she was--warm, present, and authentically herself. I walked out not only cleaner of ear and nose hair, but lighter in spirit. I'm already looking forward to returning--not because I dread hair--but because I know Jasmine will take care of me with the same gentle heart and joyful energy.
