We had blown out windows structural damage, collapsing ceilings, etc. Once we decided to hire Colony Builders they started the next week! We did a complete remodel, replacing the entire house with siding, all the windows, all the carpet with laminate including our staircase, our deck & fence in the back yard and tore down our two door garage to make one large automatic one. The crews that came out we're hardworking and communicated with us every step of the way. Our repairs began on April 16th and finished within 2 short months on June 2nd!!! One day in the fall of 2020, while walking across our porch, my husband's foot punched through a…read morespot of rotted wood. We promptly decided it was time to have it replaced...better than ever before! We got a couple bids for the job. But Charles really stood out because: 1. After walking the job, he promptly sent a detailed bid and CAD drawing. We refined the scope several times and every time he would promptly refine the quote and redo the CAD drawing. Very good follow through. Not pushy, just responsive. 2. He had a large book of color photographs of his work that helped us choose finishes and make design decisions. He has done a TON of patios and pergolas in different styles. I love this book because there are a lot of decisions to make -- it's easier to point to the picture you like more vs. having to imagine if you want feature A or B. In terms of price, Charles was in the middle -- not the highest bid and not the lowest. But we got the best feeling from him, and that's what is important to me. We redid our kitchen two years ago and our general contractor (not Charles, obviously), fled the country in the middle of the job after a progress payment! Yikes, bad memories. I am very happy with how my patio and pergola turned out; we seriously live outside now. We have a plexiglass cover (to protect from rain) and fans (to help somewhat with the Texas heat). Charles and his crew were great overall. Pluses: - They only do outdoor patios and pergolas. This is what they are good at and they are fast. - Charles was here a lot, especially at first to get the job started. He didn't just oversee progress, he was out there working and sweating with his men. - Charles helped to perfect the design while the job was in progress. He had his wife paint several different colors of grey stain onto sample boards so we could choose the right one. We spent a few hours perfecting the brick pattern on the columns. He wanted us to be happy with the final outcome. - Flexible with changes with very few change orders. I must have added 10 electrical outlets...didn't get a bill for it. So unusual for a GC. - Open to feedback when we felt like something wasn't perfect. Because they were outside my kitchen window, I would do dishes and watch progress unfold. And let him know when I didn't like something. Absolutely never got push back from him. He would call his crew or come by and fix it immediately. - Follow through has been great. Even after we were all paid up, he sent over a crew a couple times because rain was getting through my plexiglass cover. Again, so unusual for a GC. Minuses: - I wish they would broaden their scope from just outdoor patios and pergolas to other things. I have a bathroom I would love for them to remodel. Ah well. Anyway, check out the pictures. One of the prettiest patios and pergolas I have ever seen, and I'm lucky enough to have it in my backyard.

We had a great GREAT experience with Allied outdoor solution. We have a 4th floor rooftop patio on…read moreour townhome, and we found ourselves not sitting out there as much as we'd like, especially during the summer. We didn't quite know where to start, but got a recommendation from a neighbor to look at Allied, and we are so glad we did. Stephen came out to look at the patio, walk through our options, and get us a quote, which all took less than an hour. We let him know our biggest concern was color, and that we wanted something that would match our house, and not just a flat white color that looks out of place. So Stephen came back the very next day with samples of all different sorts of color options, we found one that matched our brown accents perfectly, and we were set! Colin was awesome too, and he took some time to visit with us on what we were looking for in more detail, what design we wanted, how we wanted the pergola spaced out for shade, fan options, outlet options, etc. He helped us lay out everything we wanted, and answered every question we had. Rodrigo and Paris were great with the construction. They got the whole thing built out starting at 8:30am, and finished by 3! It was incredible! All that materials making it up to the 4th floor with absolutely no scraping the outside of the house, and didn't have to bring in anything through the house and up the stairs. Everything was just cut and hoisted straight from the backyard to the roof. When we had one small request after completion to change the alignment of the piece that the ceiling fan would screw into, they came out and got it adjusted immediately without any hesitation. AND! They always wore masks. Whenever they were in our house they were always respectful of social distancing and sanitizing their ipads for us, etc. We so appreciated that. I've attached some before and after pictures here. It's beautiful. We love it, it looks great, it'll last forever, and we know that if we have any questions pop up down the road, that Stephen, Colin, and Rodrigo and crew will get us taken care of. I had to hire another company to fix the problem. No response from stonecraft builders. In addition to that, during construction the busted my widow screen, cut the leg on my awning which was not to be moved and tore my spa cover . All of which the did repair or replace. I have a completely non functioning master bedroom, bathroom and closets, all of the materials in the garage I can't use, a house in shambles, a lot of damage to other parts of the house from the Home Remedy crews and they won't return my money. After we had concerns about an unsupervised minor being left to work at our house, Mike Crigler became angry and decided her didn't want to complete the work anymore, but said he was going to keep all of the money for services he refuses to do anymore. No attempt to return my money or fulfill the contract. Construction fraud and child endangerment are serious crimes. Mikey Crigler put us through a lot of risk, stress, was completely verbally abusive and has now stolen a huge amount of money. Mikey refused to give a straight answer about why there was a kid working at my house. Good contractors don't behave this way at all.
