Opened up in my area recently and it's become my go-to pizza place! I especially like their vodka stuffed-crust slices.

Really solid slices and friendly service. Wine license coming soon. Looking forward to trying a custom, fresh-made pie next time.

Similar to their sister restaurant, Sottocasa, Pastitalia focuses on high quality ingredients and well-balanced flavors for delightfully satisfying meals. I highly recommend the mafalde. The Pasta con cozze e gamberi is delicious as well. The kids love the 4 formaggi and the pesto. You really can't go wrong with any of the sauces or pastas! The seating inside is quite sparse, so I recommend getting it to go or planning to push tables together in the back or front patios if you have a large group.

The quality of the different noodles are excellent and worth a visit for that alone. Staff are very friendly and are quick to prepare meals. We got a norma pasta (eggplant, burrata, and noodles in a tomato sauce with Parmesan) as well as a funghi e tartufo (creamy truffle mushrooms). For the norma, we got caserecce noodles (think of them like more spiralized and thick macaroni noodles). This pasta was light, delicate, and had a great balance of sweetness along with the tartness of the tomato sauce and the nuttiness/umami of the parents on top. Excellent pasta, but I would say the eggplant part was just ok. It is really small pieces of eggplant that are hard to taste. My personal favorite was the second pasta. We got the creamy truffle mushroom pasta with linguine. Let me say that this was the best linguine texture you will have. The fresh noodles have such a good bite to them and are cooked just a little less than al dente which is a perfect texture. The sauce is bold, rich, and topped with Parmesan. All the ingredients together make an excellent umami explosion that may be too rich for some people, but it was just enough for me. I would say there are a few reason I can't give this spot 5 stars. First, everything is self serve and yet the restaurant still asks for tips going up to 25% on the point of sales system. I would be happy to give a good tip if I felt there was actually customer service involved. But you have to buy food at the counter, find a table after, get your own water, clean your own tables, and take your bowls/plates/utensils to the counter as well. Additionally, any extra condiments or other items you want also have to be retrieved yourself. Also it feels pretty cheap to use small plastic disposable cups for water instead of some type of glass. With all of that, it's hard to justify tipping on top of doing all of that yourself. Second, I feel like they could give more bread with the meal. Currently, they give 2 small pieces of bread approximately 1" x 2". It would be really nice if they could give a good chunk of an actual loaf with the meal. And last, the price does not make up for what you are getting. 2 vegetarian pastas for $50 and still leaving slightly hungry isn't great. The portions could be a little bigger, and they should adjust prices to be more in line with the quality of the service. Many pasta spots downtown that are similar concept (pay at front, sit down and get your own stuff) are $10-15 for plain/vegetarian pastas.

Really welcomed this Lincoln Market supermarket on the geographic edge of my everyday shopping…read morerange. It offers a wide range of gourmet items you may not find nearby elsewhere, plus everyday items. Items that drive me to this store include their imported cheese selection (especially when they have French Brie on a great sale,) Michael's of Brooklyn Puttanesca, (my favorite jarred sauce,) smoked sable, and Miyoko's cheeses (especially the pourable liquid plant Mozzarella perfect for homemade pizza). Lincoln Market has a good range of produce, but there are also other grocers these days that offer comparable including at same or lower prices. (Note - There's Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Lidl, Target and Shop Fare are only a stone's throw away.) There's also fresh sushi. Their coffee and confection range is nice, too. Of special interest, Lincoln Market offers a range of prepared foods that may be of interest to some, but I'm one to more cook at home versus buying that stuff. That being said, it's well stocked and the staff I've asked for help have been extremely friendly - making Lincoln Market an enjoyable place to shop. One could easily make it a one-stop grocery shop, but again on many items found elsewhere locally you may find a better price.

Well-rounded service, delicious food, wide range of wines, and American Italian ambiance. The space and patronage has a tame west village feel. Osteria 106 has a rare wide selection of wines. I don't come across Super Tuscans so often! Order: * Complementary bread (5/5) -- incredible. Oil dip featured a seasoned crumbly cheese bathed in olive oil. * super tuscan (5/5) * Artichoke fritter (5/5) -- I've never tried fried artichoke but this Osteria was a great spot to try. (The bowl is also edible! It's some deeply cooked cheese structure) * gnocchi (4/5) -- tasty but a tad mushy. * Eggplant rigatoni (4.5/5). Delicious. Would get again.

We started the meal with appetizers -- the meatballs and fried artichokes. Both were super tasty! And, I didn't realize at first that the "bowl" the artichokes were served in was also editable -- I think maybe it was parmesan shaped into a bowl shape and baked! What an added surprise. You'll definitely want to tear into that bowl along with the yummy artichokes. As for mains, among the guests with me, we ordered the Seafood Pasta (Paccheri Alla Pescatora), the Veal Piccata, and Cavatelli with Sausage Ragu. And like the apps, these were all yummy! As for atmosphere, this restaurant is super small and perfect for a date night. But just be warned that it can be noisy (tall ceilings I guess make for poor acoustics). So your voice may be horse by the time you leave the place... but the food and overall experience makes up for the noise!

What pulled me in…read morewas their very fair priced lunch special, and honestly I was hungry enough to read that sign like it was a personal invitation. I popped my head in and ordered spaghetti and meatballs because sometimes you just need pasta made by someone who actually knows what they are doing. Unless you are a trained chef at home, restaurant pasta just hits different. The food was good, so good I basically swallowed it whole. And that is where my only issue comes in. The portion size was cute. Adorable even. Perfect if you are half my size or just trying to snack on spaghetti like it is a light appetizer. But for me, I had to order two lunch specials to feel like I actually had a meal. Pasta is one of the cheapest comfort foods on earth. A little extra would have gone a long way and probably would have me bragging about this place to everyone I know. Outside of that, the place is great. Cozy interior, friendly staff, solid vibe. If they made the portions match the flavor, this would easily be one of those comfort food spots you keep on your regular rotation. Overall I enjoyed it and I would return, but I am coming in already knowing I may need to double up. Cheers.
