I have to say Supreme Deck Restoration is the ONLY company we would hire to do any work on our deck. We used this company at our old house and they did a superior job replacing rotten wood, cleaning and staining. In our new residence, as second owners we believe our balcony deck had never been stained or sealed. We again hired Supreme Deck Restoration and they did another superior job. We had some rotted diagonal deck flooring that went under large pillar railings which were a challenge to replace. They took their time, replaced then, cleaned our deck, and stained it. I had the same experience as Aly. Rude service person who said "well, we really don't work Downriver" - as if we are two counties away, and wasn't at all flexible about coming out. I told him we are not flexible because we work, and can only take appointments after 5, and didn't want unknown people in my yard without us being home. He was also kind of snotty about me not knowing what I needed done. How could I possibly know if I need restoration, or total replacement? I've never had a deck built before, and sure don't know what the existing deck may or may not need. My spouse called back to make a daytime appointment, and was told they don't work Downriver. Very pleased with Supreme Deck. Our 15-year old deck needed to be resurfaced because the old composite decking material was swelling and buckling. Our main contact with the company was Dan Hoehn. He was responsive by email and by phone, his explanations were clear and helpful, and we ended up with exactly what we wanted. There was no hard-sell, and no surprises in the final bill. The construction team was also excellent. We had some special requests, including minor carpentry work and pressure wash on the side of the adjoining garage. Everything was done as promised, including clean-up. A professional group throughout. One word of caution: plan ahead. They recently completed work on our deck and we are very happy. We planned on just cleaning/staining....but after cleaning it was quite apparent that alot of work needed to be done. Needed several boards/rails replaced. They worked with us through inclement weather and notifying us when they would or would not be there. Do not use this company!!!! They are extremely rude to potential customers. They should get no stars. They have horrible attitudes. We called them to obtain a quote. I was home all day. Nobody ever came to the door. The next business day he (rudely) called to say the gate was locked. You don't even need to go through a gate to access my deck!!! and when i asked questions he quickly grew angry. Supreme Deck Restoration has been servicing our large deck for several years now. They have always done a great job. This year we added a large section of new railing to our deck. They came out to do our normal maintenance and also stained the brand new railing. Unfortunately, the color did not match up at all since it was new wood versus years old wood despite using the same color stain. I emailed them and Rob responded immediately. He came out the next day to look at the job and assured us they would be back the next day and mix a few stain colors to try to get the new wood to look as close as possible to the stain on the old wood. Do not use this company. Rob is very rude, and unprofessional to deal with. They stained my deck just before a rain storm. After I had to debate, and argue over the phone, they finally sent a crew to look at the damage. The crew leader quickly stated that it required a new coat of stain over the entire deck , and would have to be rescheduled at a later date. Rob reluctantly showed up. He tried to convince me that it was perfect, and should be displayed in a magazine. After I inquired about his crew, and their diagnosis, he stated they were just a bunch of kids, and he was the expert? Beware, they cut "water down" their twp stain! Don't waste your time! read more

I hired Supreme Deck originally to do some repairs to the deck at my home - Rob looked at the deck and told me that repairs were not necessary but agreed that previous work on it had not been the best. It was safe. Had the deck stained and they did a great job (early summer/late spring). Called them a few weeks after to have them bid work on the deck at a rental property I own. Deck was DEFINITELY unsafe. Dan gave me the best bid (treated lumber for this property), but it did take a little time to get the deck done because we were getting added to an already busy summer schedule. I was already having issues with my own deck (splintering and huge gaps plus a corner issue - NONE of which was due to Supreme), so I had Dan bid a total re-build on my own deck - in Cedar. Price was great and I added my own deck to the schedule Rental deck is SUPERB - great craftsmanship and attention to detail. My own deck has been completely rebuilt - and I cannot say enough great things about the crew and the craftsmanship. Sometimes the best things take a little time - but well worth waiting for. We have used this company twice now in 3 years. Find them to be very professional and go above and beyond. We had our deck power washed and a small piece of bench seating trim came off. (This was due to rotting and no fault of theirs.) Before we could get to the store and buy a piece of wood to repair it ourselves.....they came out the very next day and fixed it for us free of charge and left us a voicemail it was done! We have a Brazilian cherry deck and are very picky on how it is washed and stained. Looks amazing and new. These guys are the best and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all my friends. read more

Everyone from Supreme was fantastic: committed to our satisfaction, professional, and talented. Robert was simply great to work with. We hired them before the winter season so we would be in line as early in spring as was possible. For some time, we had been doing repairs a few at a time by an independent deck repair, clean, and stain person. Finally decided our deck needed major overhaul. One other company quoted and told us our deck needed a full replacement. Robert came out and told us Supreme could rehabilitate the deck and give us many more years. We like can-do people, and Robert personified that. As we approached spring, we called, and Supreme began the work as soon as the weather permitted. We were out of town, coming back after he first batch of repairs; we decided we wanted more done, and we met with Robert. Trusting him and Supreme fully, we agreed to more money, with some flexibility for them even to do more if they felt it necessary. They did more but still kept within the increased budget. After the first stain was applied, my wife decided it was still too light; no problem: Supreme sent their stain expert, Eric, and he was just great. Worked with my wife to make sure he got just the right color, then brought out the crew to stain it all over again; no additional charge. All of this they did WITHOUT collecting one dime before the job was fully done and approved. Our long-time roof repair person came out and raved about what a fantastic job was done on our deck; found it hard to believe it was not totally new. These guys are not to be trusted. They employ shady business practices to extract as much money out of you as they can. They inflate the price, then tell you they'll give you a discount because YOU'RE so special. They billed me $300 for a building permit which they never pulled (and wasn't needed anyway). Salesman said staining was included in the price but lo and behold ... when it came time to stain, they said "no way" was the fee included, and go take a look at my work order. Of course, there was no mention of staining on it. I'm no dummy and they STILL took advantage of me. read more

Whoa man, these guys bring bad work and bad business to a new art form. They specialize in quick, lousy work, so if they mess up expect big problems trying to get the owner Rob to do anything about it. They power washed our deck in the rain and missed a ton of spots. imagine out surprise when we came home to find our deck stained with huge shiny spots everywhere from the old stain. To "fix" it, they power washed it so badly the wood splintered, and then never showed up to finish the job! I hired this business to clean and then make some repairs to my patio. The cleaning was fine, but the repairs were a disaster, they ended up making more damages than there were before hiring them. They made several mistakes which were obvious even to me (I have zero experience with patios) and then they dragged the work forever. Advice to the reader: hire someone else. read more

Called to schedule an estimate and they said it was going to take a week for them to come out to my area to do it (I live within their service area, but on the outside edge). A week went by and nothing, so I called to check on the estimate and they said that they "just got too busy and can't service my area anymore" ... no phone call....nothing...They said that "they were making calls to people who were effected but that they had not got to me yet." I can't even believe that...if you don't want to service a specific area, then don't service it. The unprofessionalism of them saying that all of a sudden I am just too far away form them is unbelievable. We had our deck finally stained after waiting 6 weeks for Supreme Deck to come out and do the work once we committed to them. They were sloppy, left stain all over our powder coated spindles, did not wash away or sand away pulp on the wood from their power washing days before and missed many spots under the railings. We have called the company twice since Saturday and no one seems to know what we are talking about and we have yet to hear from the owner who is supposed to call back each time we have called. I do not plan on paying for this work unless it is remedied by this week. Extremely disappointed in this experience. read more
