My assumption was that the tub would be the same color that it was, but it was glazed in white. White doesn't match the color scheme of my 1950s bathroom that I love. The scheduler said that TubTastic would make it right, but she will no longer communicate with me. At the time the glazer was wraping up, my husband paid the glazer in good faith that the color would be redone, but since July 26th when the work was done there has been no progress and no responses with any updates with making this right.

Do not use this company. They have come out to my house 3 times within the last 20 months and my…read morebathtub looks like the below picture. They came out originally to deglaze my tub 20 months ago. A few days after the project was finished, I noticed they used tan caulk on my white tub. It looked dirty and unfinished. I called them about it and they came back out to fix it. The third time they came out was around 11 months after the tub was deglazed. My tub had stated peeling (similar to the picture) and since it was under warranty for 1 year they came out to fix it. I was told it was peeling because the faucet leaked. It was deglazed and we had someone come repair the faucet. Now about 9 months later this is what my tub looks like with no faucet leak. Was that the original reason the tub peeled or does bath magic not know what they are doing? If you want your tub reglazed and for it to last more than a year, do not used this company.

I found him here on Yelp; his calm clarity and professionalism came through in the initial telephone conversation, I *think* I sent him description, dimensions and pictures in E-mail, but either way he made what seemed like a reasonable estimate at that point. I brought my table over, he was finished less than 2 weeks later (including a long holiday weekend), and it looks beautiful. He started on it not knowing for sure if the paint would strip off easily enough, but apparently no problem. He called to suggest a stain color (walnut), which I went with -- by this point I could tell that any recommendation he had would probably be ideal, but appreciated having the choice. He even put in a new bottom in the little drawer; *what* a nice touch -- along with proper felt-bottomed 'feet' on the table legs. I also saw some beautiful work in his shop, and would definitely hire him again.

You can tell he truly cared about the quality of his paint job and the satisfaction of his customers. I'll admit I can be a little fussy about paint. I'm very happy with Andrew's work! He even explained why he liked certain products and their performance. We found his rates to be competitive, as well. Here's the real proof: We are planning on having him come back to paint another large room for us. I actually found him soliciting a job here on Yelp. He was very responsive through the entire communication process, and never left me hanging or wondering what was happening, from first contact to when he was arriving. You don't always get that, and it's important. His estimate was clear and professional. This is his own business and there is a definite pride of ownership, and customer care that comes with that. Overall, this was a definitely deserved 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a five pieces of antique French Provencal and Mid Century furniture that we…read morewanted restored by an upholsterer with very high standards and an excellent record of exceptional work. We spent weeks looking all around metro Detroit for the rignt upholsterer for this work. From the moment I met Tony (the owner), I had a.strong feeling that I had found the right person to oversee and complete this work to my specifications. Tony spent time discussing the scope of the work to be done and examined each piece carefully. I explained that the furniture contained a system of hand tied springs in the foundation, cushions and back and that I wanted the furniture restored with the spring systems included. Many upholstery places no longer work with spring systems and prefer to refurbish furnitire by removimg the springs and using firm foam instead. However, I wanted the unique feel of the spring systems (as well as the durability of the spring systems, which usually last much longer than foam alone) in the refurbished pieces. Tony listened to my requests, examined the furniture and came up with a detailed plan for restoring the furnitire. He gave me an honest assessment of the work to be done and quoted a price for the work, including material costs. Tony consulted with me all through the process because he clearly cared about the outcome of his work. It was wonderful and extremely gratifying to work with a true artisan and expert in his field. Absolutely nothing was left to chance, which I appreciated because I can be a difficult customer to please. During the process there were some changes to the plan that arose, including the need to completely refinish the woodwork on the French Provencal pieces. Tony cared enough about the outcome of this project to make sure this work was done to perfection at an affordable price. My wife and I were truly stunned at the finished quality of the work when Tony delivered our finished pieces. They look and feel incredible. I would recommend Tony and his remarkable craftsmen enthusiastically and without reservation. This high level of service and quality work is increasingly rare today. I am very happy to have found Tony and hope to work with him again in the near future.
