Since we had been eating British Fayre every day we chose to break it when we arrived in Plymouth.
Enter Suphas, a Pan Asian restaurant that specializes with Thai, Viet, Laos and Myanmar street foods and its right by the quay in Plymouth.
I loved the décor and the casual ambiance of the restaurant, it gives a preview of Asian dining scene to someone who may not have been.
We were seated at a table for two near the window and the server handed us a menu promptly, we started with my favorite nibble; prawn crackers (it's a shame that I don't see this still being serve in the US). We then decided to share deep fried bass with sweet and sour sauce, steamed prawns with chili sauce and pork spicy fried rice. Since its family style dining our orders all came at once. The seafood dishes are again undoubtedly fresh and delicious. We capped our dinner with sticky rice and mango with ice cream on the top.
With great customer service, quality of food and location, you'd be sorry if you didn't give Suphas a visit while in Plymouth. read more
