I asked for recommendations and pairing (as there were too many good stuff to try), and got a few answers. Overall, the food was very impressive, and IMO can hold its own against the best that California, USA has to offer. I ordered the Bombay mixer, and thought the chicken tikka was bomb. The badshah nawabi was very well paired with the coconut rice and the keema naan. This is the best Indian food I've had in my 3-week stay here in Exeter, and I'll try to come back before leaving. The place looks recently renovated as well.

Its a lovely quite confined atmosphere, with enough space to accommodate everyone we have needed to, despite it being quite small. Its well decorated in quite a modern way with lots of nice lighting. Food is very well priced for the amount of food you get and is very tasty. Its out of town a little so easy to find and easy to park in the evenings. It would be adviable to book before hand, especially at the weekend.

I loved the décor and the casual ambiance of the restaurant, it gives a preview of Asian dining scene to someone who may not have been. We were seated at a table for two near the window and the server handed us a menu promptly, we started with my favorite nibble; prawn crackers (it's a shame that I don't see this still being serve in the US). We then decided to share deep fried bass with sweet and sour sauce, steamed prawns with chili sauce and pork spicy fried rice. Since its family style dining our orders all came at once. The seafood dishes are again undoubtedly fresh and delicious. We capped our dinner with sticky rice and mango with ice cream on the top. With great customer service, quality of food and location, you'd be sorry if you didn't give Suphas a visit while in Plymouth.
