And I look at the label here here's comes from Kanada. Cooking on pasta night I pull out some cheese I bought 3-4 weeks ago. Moldy. Today it was some Boarshead ham from last week. It's slimy and smells funky. It's not the same store or quality it was and founded on. I miss the old Kowalskis and I shop it frequently as I live 3 minutes away. I need to start using Byerlys more. Or go to the Excelsior store like when I run there at lunch while I'm at work.

They are going after those of us that value price above all else. They have most of the staples but not all of them. They offer some name brands randomly but mostly they have house brands you have never heard of. Some people like to harp on the quality of the goods here. In my experience this is complete nonsense. I have been shopping at Aldi on and off for about 2 years and never have I bought a product I thought was inferior to what I've purchased at Cub Foods, Kowalskis, Wal-Mart, or Trader Joes for that matter. The prices really are cheaper. Many packages are smaller, but you can do the numbers yourself and you will find that the value exists. They save a bit by adding in some quirky bits you may be thrown off by. For example: 1.You need a quarter for a deposit on your cart 2.They charge for any bags 3.The cashier will not bag and will instead put your items right back in your cart for you to bag 4.They don't carry every little item that costs them extra to carry. Overall, I like the convenience and prices here. No frills shopping with quality products. Give it a try but bring an open mind!

Prices did seem a bit more than other stores but not too bad for the convenience. I'd say my issue is with the check out. They have 5-6 cashier lanes and 4 self checkouts. Only 1 cashier available + a bagger. The bagger was having a conversation with the customer and carried on a bit long and couldn't seem to talk & bag at the same time. I ended up going over to self checkout which also took awhile but when I finally got up to one I realized it's because the system is just extremely slow. I was able to wait and checkout before they were done helping that same 1 customer. I get being friendly and providing customer service but it's to a point you need to considerate that a line is forming and people are waiting & some with perishables. I also don't care to converse about the items i'm buying so the bagger being so chatty would have gave me anxiety.

This is an "after" picture of the steak. Of the 16 oz, only about 1 oz had edible meat...the rest was medium rare shoe leather, hence the masticated flotsam left on my plate in he picture. I'm sure they would say I cooked it wrong, but I worked my way thru college as an assistant chef at a famous NYC steak house so I know how to cook meat. Will never buy any meat there again. Besides the meat, the store is fine but a bit over priced as others have said, and the staff is very nice, and I will continue to shop from time to time for convenience as its only 5 minutes away from home. This location was smaller, though I enjoyed it it was busy I felt that what was featured here was pretty small and minimal. They had some deals going on but a lot of their beverages and snacks for a bit of a price for me. They had a hot food bar which is pretty neat which has plenty of great options and great vegan selections as well for those that are particular. Staff here was friendly and kind throughout my visit. The plaza that the grocery store is placed in Can be a bit of a challenge to find parking at times. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my visit though I wouldn't mind coming back for a casual visit.

No walmart is organized enough for this, Especially the clothing. They also removed price scanners which would help because now the lines are backing up with people not knowing the price or the price doesn't even match where they picked the item from. A big mess. The parking at this location is almost always packed despite the store not feeling as packed. This store does feel a bit smaller with the layout feeling a bit more cramped but like I said it's nice when you just need a few items.
