Could it have been handled better? 100% I was offered a 'free' 3 year extended warranty for my trouble - I was supposed to receive that this morning in my email - I have yet to receive it. I will not purchase from them again - I talked to 2 different managers and was given attitude by the Store Manager who acted like he was doing me a favor for the '3 year extended warranty' that I will probably never use and have to to receive. I wish I would've checked Yelp before I purchased this but I had had a previous good experience - seems their Customer Service has gone down the drain along with my broken washer.

We try to support local companies, but when friends purchased appliances for less money from one of the big boxes, had no installation problems and no debris left behind, why would anyone shop at orvilles? Me, being "thrifty" aka "cheap" priced a new one at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot before heading here. Each of them had a model to fit my requirements (24 inch stainless steel front and tub) on sale. None had the one I wanted on display or in stock. I would have to order and wait. Only Lowes had someone in the store who knew how to find a dishwasher in their system without getting help. The appliance department in Best Buy looks like someone went through and shoved everything into a pile. I saved the best store till last. The dishwasher I wanted was on display in the front of the store. The knowledgeable salesperson knew the price and answered my questions. And got rerouted to a call center in another country! This happened 3 times, with the phone numbers to 3 different stores in my area. I was told, stores don't answer the phones, they reroute to a call center. Well, if Best Buy can't be bothered to allow their clerks to answer the phone in a store, they've lost my business. BTW, I asked my question of a call center person, and was told I'd have to physically walk into a store and ask a clerk. Well, I'd do that, but we're in the middle of a 3 day snowstorm, which is why I was trying to call the store in the first place. I really didn't feel like driving 35 miles in a whiteout to see if a store had a certain item in stock. If I'm going to deal with a business that impersonal, I may as well use Amazon. No wonder brick and mortar stores are going under.

Mr. Reilly diagnosed the problem as a leaky housing, which costs almost as much as a new washer. He advised against repairing it. While he was here I asked him to replace the belt on my clothes washer. It wasn't spinning up to speed like it should. On examination, the old belt was starting to fail at the splice, so it was replaced. Now my clothes dry in half the time. Service was excellent. Calls were answered. Questions were answered. Arrival was on time as promised.
