Take the bad reviews to heart, we didn't and got burned by it. You can do a lot better for the amount you are going to spend. Find a place that cares about your big day as much as you do. Superstition Manor only wants your money, and they aren't even willing to work that hard for it. Really pathetic experiences the more we got to know them. We spent a lot of money and made our wedding look good, but still got treated poorly, and worse our guests were treated poorly. It was like we worked for them and not the other way around. A $10K or even $20K+ event shouldn't be a DIY experience in which the staff is rude and a hinderance to pulling off the day the bride dreams of. We got married at the venue about a month ago, and I still can't stop thinking about how wonderful it was! from start to finish our experience with the venue was amazing. Our coordinator Michelle Provencio was spectacular! She walked us through the whole wedding planning process with ease, I really can't believe how easy it was. She took care of EVERYTHING! The wedding day was super stress free (just the way it should be). We arrived at the venue and were able to go straight to the bridal/groom suite and were not asked to lift a finger. Best decision I made when planning my wedding was the venue! For a couple having to pay and plan their own wedding, this was the perfect choice for us. The cost is manageable while the service is spectacular! Brittany was our planner and she was so perfect! She was always available by text or phone to answer all of my random questions and concerns! So many decoration to choose from and the food menu was delicious! Things went so smoothly on my wedding day and I never had to worry about a thing! A beautiful location however, very disappointed in the actual logistics of the event. The food at the wedding tasting was excellent,yet the food at the wedding was overcooked and dry.The rehearsal food was literally awful. The day of the event,many of the details were lacking , right down to misspelling of the Brides name! The guests couldn't hear the ceremony due to a broken mic and the chairs were very dusty and our guests got dust all over them. The property is absolutely beautiful. The venue offers everything you would ever need to make the day of your lifetime special in every way. As the son of the owners, I can say my parents put effort into every detail of an event and treat it as if it were their own wedding all over again. My wife and I just got married there on 6/8/19 and this place was THE BEST! We are beyond happy with our choice of getting married here! Rebecca was our coordinator and she was AMAZING! She made sure everything was perfect, she's really laid back and has a great personality! Through a series of events, she was our third coordinator, which yes at first was a tad frustrating being bounced around at first, but my goodness are we grateful that we got Rebecca in the end!!! The entire time my wife and I were touring the place for the first time, we kept whispering to each other how this place was going to be super expensive and probably out of our budget. Once we sat down and talked about pricing we were genuinely surprised by the affordability of the place. Pretty much everything is included and they are so great about being flexible with your wishes. My wife and I are big pizza people and despite it not being on their menu, they offered to make us a pizza and wing dinner! It was SO delicious!! I do have to say that our plates were cleaned up too quickly though. We had to go outside for sunshine shots and by the time I came back my plate was cleaned up even though there was still food on it and they were putting away all the food and getting the ice cream bar ready. Otherwise, it was great. My wife loved it and said it surpassed her expectations and that they were able to give her the dream wedding she wanted. A Harry Potter wedding at that! Rebecca made sure to have our theme of "Always" included throughout the grand ball room. Our guests keep telling us how this we the best wedding they had ever been to and how beautiful it was, and I couldn't agree more. I could go on and on about Superstition Manor, I didn't want a big wedding, my wife did, so naturally we had a big wedding and I'm glad we went with Superstition Manor for it. This is a beautiful venue and a lot if not everything is included so the pricing is reasonable for a weekday wedding. The reason this isn't a full 5 star rating is because of the coordinator that came with the venue. She sold us the venue by telling us one thing and in reality, it was different. We paid for an open bar during cocktail hour and our guests had to pay for their drinks and the open bar was during dinner. My wife and I didn't get our cake after the reception and the left over meals we had paid for were given to the staff. We were told that since we paid for the meals, we could take them with us. Last minute, she handed us an envelope and said that gratuity for the bartenders and servers are appreciated because they didn't get any of the gratuities paid that are included in the price of the venue. We didn't budget for more money to be spent at the venue so they didn't get anything unfortunately. The bartenders were great and I felt really bad about that. Also, our coordinator kept trying to change some of the things my wife and i wanted for OUR ceremony.. The venue is great, but if you don't bring your own coordinator and are given Elizabeth, I would ask for someone else. read more

They are all about getting the money from you and seeing if they and jip you by not providing what you asked for or making up some BS that it was part of their contract. My wife got a response from this company regarding her post about our wedding venue there and how we were treated when her 1 day was completely ruined by these people. Brittany B. of Superstition Manor Business Owner replied with this regarding our complaint: "...When it comes to the food, we do cook to the amount of guest in your contract. We then also cook and extra 30 meals to feed all of our staff and any of your vendors on the property in which we do not charge for. It does state in our contract that once all of your guest have received their food, our staff does eat the extra meals that were cooked for them as well as your vendors (Not until the end of dinner does this happen). I apologize if you were not explained this situation clearly before your event and we hope you still had an amazing time despite the miscommunication on this topic" First off, thank you for the lie and trying to cover up what is NOT in your contract, or was not part of your contract in 2013 when we signed the original contract. And if you try and tell me that it is part of the original contract I will bring my copy (which I still have and the deposit receipts) to your company and you can show me clearly where it says it, because my wife and I have read over it more than 5 times and it is states no where in there. Additionally your company's owners are the rudest couple I've ever meet, when this complaint was brought to them originally, they shoved it back in our faces like we were in the wrong. If this is how your company treats "PAYING CUSTOMERS" than I will do everything I can to send more horrible reviews to take business away from your company. Our daughter and now son in law were married at Superstition Manor this weekend. We had anticipated this wedding for many months and our high expectations were completely met. Aside from the breath taking beauty of the architecture and very large elaborate bride/groom rooms, to the many selections of decor, table linens, food choices and scheduling we were very impressed. My nephew married the girl of his dreams at Superstition Manor. Even though it was 96 degrees outside (we started at 5:00 pm) it wasn't that bad as most of the seats were shaded and the bride and groom were in a ramada with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop. While waiting for the dinner reception to start, the guests were seated in a covered patio where appetizers were served, with misters that kept the guests cool and comfortable. The wait staff were all polite, respectful, and timely. The venue itself was great - clean with tons of parking space. What an incredible venue! My now husband and I got married here last weekend, 4/21/18. Our search for the perfect venue began immediately after getting engaged. I spent hours/days/weeks researching venues, prices, locations and vendors. Our guest count helped narrow down the search in its self but when we arrived at SM, we were in awe! We went to an open house and were greeted immediately by one of the coordinators. They gave us a tour and told us all about the package options. Although, in love with the venue, I wanted to be sure to see each venue I had listed. We visited at least 15 venues before arriving at Superstition Manor and at least 10 more afterwards. Ultimately, we could not pass up the beauty and prices found at SM. And I'm so glad I didn't! We worked with Brittany, who was incredible! The planning was seamless and I enjoyed every minute. She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, and it was! People didn't stop talking about how amazing our food was, the decor was gorgeous and the scenery couldn't be beat! Plus the weather even cooperated which was a bonus. I had a few hiccups on the day of, that we're not a result of SM but my choice in vendors. I can't express how blessed we were to have Lisa and her husband to help plan our wedding! I got so.many compliments on everything from our wedding! My husband and I got married this past Saturday at Superstition and we had a phenomenal wedding! Michelle was our coordinator and she really went above and beyond to make our day extra special. We used Sugarlips Cakery for dessert and brought in our own DJ, Photographer, and Makeup Artist. Brenda Hon handled our flowers and I have to say my bouquet was absolutely stunning! Our wedding went off without a hitch and Michelle did such a great job keeping us on track and helping with everything - our tables matched exactly what I wanted and she surprised us by using some of our extra flowers around the venue to really brighten it up. I have been around the wedding industry for a long time. I've worked in catering, I've been a wedding photographer and nowadays I'm an ordained minister. All this is to say that I have been to a lot of wedding venues and I have seen both the good and the bad. This place is amazing. I had the good fortune to be asked by some friends of mine to perform their wedding and this was the place they chose. First of all the staff here is top notch, doing everything they can to make a special day extraordinary for the couple. And the wedding co-ordinator, well she was great, a true professional in every sense of the word, and let me tell you that is a gift in the industry. I've had more than one "professional" make it difficult for me, or the bridal party to enjoy the day and this was just the opposite. The staff here was truly a pleasure to work with, and anticipated needs before they were even expressed. When you add to it that this is a truly gorgeous location with stunning views of the mountains it's easily one of the best locations that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Although my residence is now in Utah, I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to perform another ceremony here. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to have another friend from AZ want to get married here. In the beginning, everything seemed like it was going well. As it got closer to the day, things were beginning to fall out of order. I should've listened to the other reviews that were on here previously before signing up with Superstition Manor. I regret selecting this place as my venue. This company is greedy. When we had said we will have the payment ready for them when we come in for our next visit, a staff member immediately suggests that they can pick it up from our house and was being really pushy to have the money right away. This disappointed me. It really showed how desperate they were for the money instead of trying to help make this a positive and meaningful experience... I was contacted and asked if I have a copy of the menu because they need to get a list of the groceries for our reception which is not my responsibility to do. This displayed their lack of professionalism, they have a file of our notes and paperwork, why would I have it in the first place? After that incident happened, I asked to have a copy of the menu we finalized even by email, and the Rep said yes they will provide. And until now I never received anything. They assured many things and on the day of, it didn't happen. I saw it even more after I received photography pictures. LED lights that I requested to have for our centerpieces were missing as well as 3-4 flowers we asked to have in the vases, instead there were only 2 for each table which made the decor of each table look so empty. I thought they were taking good notes of what their client wants but it turns out that this venue just disregards it. In addition, the worse part of the event was the shortage of food. I was assured there wouldn't be a problem for guests to have seconds but instead the staff were telling my guests "no more" or "they're still cooking it." --I felt like food was being saved for themselves. For their staff. One of my guests saw them wrapping food away but where did that other food go? Staff members had no clear communication or were not all on the same page. It was upsetting. If there was an option for me to put zero stars, I wouldn't give any stars. Also, on our reception, everything felt so rushed. We were being pushed out because of the time. We spent 16 plus grand for this place, believing they would meet up to their word. I regret it so much..breaks my heart every time I remember this venue. It's like they don't really care, at all. The focus is just $$$$$ and they forget about taking care of their clients. Superstition Manor still needs a lot of organizing to do. Start off by studying what is "business." Especially with communicating clearly and sticking to what you say you will do. There's no word of honor for everything that was promised/assured. Instead of spending so much time and money to upgrade the venue, why not focus on the small details like ensuring your clients are happy and they get what they want? Listen carefully to understand and remember what things will make your clients happy. Don't just think about the money to make yourselves happy. Organizing all the details were a breeze with Superstition Manor and we did the all inclusive package. So they took care of everything for us. She was there every step of the way. I really cant thank them enough for such a wonderful experience! The venue was beautiful and allowed for bride and groom rooms with FULL bathrooms. This venue is absolutely stunning! The architectural structure of the manor is very unique and detailed, that is reminiscent of a Tuscan Villa. It offers much in the way of built in decor, unlike many other venues that need to be decorated in tons of flowers and other add ons. This venue also offers beautiful views of the Superstition Mountains. The bride and groom suites to get ready in are very spacious and well equipped with mirrors, a kitchen and a fridge. The staff was friendly and always happy to accommodate with special requests. The ceremonies do take place outside so keep that in mind as most of that area is located in the direct sunlight. It is also a bit hard to hear the bride and groom without a microphone. Other than that, everything was a dream. read more

Drove 50 miles (one way) to go visit venue for my upcoming wedding, and could not have been treated any worse. When my mother, maid of honor and I arrived, we walked into the courtyard, and noticed a woman walking towards us. As my MOH went towards her, the woman came to the door, and instead of acknowledging us, she proceeded to lock the door and turned off the lights on us. Mind you, she could have stepped out and acknowledged us a future clients, and then advise us that the venue was closed or offered to schedule a private tour during regular hours, etc. Instead we were left out in the cold (literally) without so much as a sorry. I have never been treated so bad, especially when they were so pushy at the bridal expo. Needless to say it was waste of time and gas. We will not be going back, and suggest you don't either. My wife and I were just married here on May 31st of this year. Our entire experience from considering the venue as an option to the closing of our actual wedding night was nothing but pleasurable. The owner, Brittney, was very flexible, accommodating, compromising, involved, and willing to answer any questions/help in any way necessary. Our wedding coordinator, Rebecca, was all of those things and more as well. Rebecca gave us lots of good advice, recommendations, etc. She was always extremely reachable, and replied to our texts or calls in a very timely manner. The venue itself is beautiful and extremely classy, both inside and out. The prices were EXTREMELY reasonable, the guest service was wonderful, the communication and coordination was second to none, which is extremely valuable when planning something as large and important as a wedding. Superstition Manor is an all inclusive type of venue that has many vendor recommendations for everything from the DJ, cake, flowers, and so on. The food was phenomenal, and they were very accommodating in our requests to add ingredients or tweak temperatures, etc. They give you A TON of food to sample during your food tasting, which i thought was awesome and really helped us feel confident in the food that we were choosing. On the day of the wedding, the Manor allows you to show up as early as 9 AM to take advantage of getting ready/hanging out in their bride/groom suites. The suites are very spacious, elegant, and filled with games and entertainment to ensure an amazing time before the wedding even begins. They even allowed us to bring our own food and drinks, which was awesome that we didn't have to spend an arm and a leg on snacks before the wedding. Overall, I cant stress enough how pleased we are with how our dream day went. So many of our guests stressed that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had our daughter's wedding at Superstition Manor on 5/28. We could not have been happier with the experience. They really have a wide selection of table arrangements and colors to fit any style. You do want to ask for Michelle as your wedding planner. She was fantastic to work with. She guided us through the entire process and was just invaluable. On the big day she is right there to make sure that everything runs smoothly. I really cannot say enough about how well the venue worked with us to make it a fantastic day for us. First I will saying, owning a local business myself I hate leaving bad reviews but I wish I had known most of this information before having my wedding there, I would have picked a different venue. The actual venue is beautiful and the view from the arbor is gorgeous. However, even though they will tell you differently, your wedding guests will be able to hear and see cars passing by. There will be cars right behind you in your photos and videos. The food is adequate but not great and portions are small. The staff serving the food is not friendly at all. The wedding coordinator that was assigned to me was the owner's daughter. She did nothing the day of my wedding. There are so many things that were left undone and never completed even though I had been promised otherwise. The staff when we went in for the open house and first meeting were so friendly and promised so may things to my mom and I. None of it was followed through on. I was severely disappointed in our rehearsal dinner there and the wedding day. When I brought these concerns to the venue, their response was "We apologize you feel that way 'Coordinator' doesn't get complaints". Had my mom not done SO much work beforehand, had we not had the best friends and family by our side that day, this day would have been incredibly disappointing and stressful. read more

Where do I even begin!? This venue was an absolute dream! My husband and I had our wedding reception at Superstition Manor in the barn on Saturday and we could not have had a more perfect night! The Barn was decorated so beautifully for us and it's all thanks to BRI!!!! She was such an amazing coordinator from the start and she absolutely brought our vision to life! She was always so prompt and helpful-She accommodated every request and always did it with a huge smile on her face. Planning a wedding during COVID seemed impossible at times but Bri and all of the staff members managed to mitigate so much of our stress and made us feel like everything was going to be okay...AND IT WAS! Better than okay-Everything was absolutely PERFECT! We could not have asked for a better day and the Superstition Manor team made it happen! We are eternally grateful for everything that they did for us. Despite COVID and the uncertainty of these times, they will work with you and bring you the most beautiful and incredible day. Very very pleased with our experience at this venue! The staff was so friendly and our coordinater, Rebecca, was extremely helpful with every question or request--no matter how petty it seemed. The venue is simply beautiful, with lots of great options for places to take photos. So many decor options, color options, etc are available to use which makes planning SO much easier! I'm the bride's sister and was her "wedding planner," but my job was very easy with the help and organization of this venue's staff. One of my favorite parts is the absolutely amazing bridal & groom suites, which are available for use at any time the day of your wedding. We had a great time utilizing these rooms all day! My only complaint (which is even too strong a word, as it really wasn't inconvenient at all), is that since they have two sides available for two different weddings at the same time, you sometimes run into people for the other wedding, and/or have to make sure you aren't interfering with their day either, as you're both getting ready, taking photos, etc at the same venue. I believe the venue always staggers their weddings that are on same day so that timelines don't clash, which makes it workable, but it still just wasn't ideal a few times in our experience. Like I said--this simply was a petty observation that didn't make much of a difference. Everything else was absolutely fantastic. Yeah nice try. We still have the contract in question and have read it over at least 3 times. There's nothing in it indicating anything pertaining to your staff being allowed to eat the food that was intended for my guests. My guests witnessed your staff eating the food for guests. If "30 extra" meals were supposed to be cooked for them, then why weren't they eating it in the kitchen? Even if there WERE enough for staff, how unprofessional is it to have staff eating out in the open like they're part of the wedding guests? I called them and asked for a date next March on a Friday for lunch and the guy said no and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. I could have been more flexible with the following Friday for a lunch event but first impressions and your gut feeling is always what you should go with. I think I will pass. read more

We got married here on 12/3/16 and it was perfect. I would not have changed anything. The whole process was smooth from the beginning and Lisa and staff were accomodating to any requests we had. In addition, her preferred vendors were great too. We used Sugarlips Cakery, Save this dance, and Wild Iris. Everything came out the way we wanted and our guests are still talking about the great time they had. My only recommendation is book early! Though the place looked very expensive and wayyy over our budget, it was actually VERY AFFORDABLE! Superstition Manor is built for weddings, and they are prepared to provide you with all the the table decorations, chairs, and signage that you could ever dream of! In addition to free decorations, they also acted as our caterer! Before the wedding we met for a food tasting in which we were able to try hundreds of different appetizers, entrees, and side dishes for free! Additionally, because Superstition Manor has a great relationship with other wedding services in the area, we were able to get a great discount on both our photographers and DJ! They also provided us with an amazing coordinator, Elizabeth, that took care of everything for us, so planning our wedding was a breeze!
