I never leave reviews but I feel like I have to for this company. I had prebooked a shuttle and got a text showing that it was close by so I left my friends apartment and went to go meet him. 20 minutes after he was scheduled to arrive I got a call that my shuttle was cancelled no offer of alternative service nothing. I have a broken shoulder and had to walk two blocks with 3 pieces of luggage to catch a cab. And this is not the first time they were no shows. If you need reliable transportation to the airport I ABSOLUTELY would not use them. UPDATE: contacted supershuttle via email comment below. Still unable to reach a resolution. It's disgraceful and unacceptable for a business to act in this manner. If I could I would change my one star to a zero. read more

this is the 4th time I've used Super Shuttle from Suffolk to JFK and I couldn't be more pleased with the price and the service. The app is very easy to use and the drivers are always on time and courteous. The price for 8 people was 50% less than other companies I called. I will be using them for every trip to the airport. read more

We booked a round trip with super shuttle while they were a little late picking us up, I didn't complain much considering there was traffic, which was horrible, and they did have other trips before our stop . the driver was nice and we made it to our destination with time to explore the night . Returning to the airport was no issue they actually picked us up at 11:30 though our scheduled time was 12:05 ...we made it to the airport with 2 hours to spare . If you're in no rush after landing I would recommend the service however if you're in a rush I would recommend a personal driver instead of a shared shuttle read more

Now I now why we always called it STUPID SHUTTLE! We had pre-paid a r/t to and from the Swan/Dolphin Resort in Disney. Getting from the airport to the resort, no problem. Getting back to the airport from the resort was the issue! The pickup window was 1:30-1:45. We were getting our luggage from bell services and we were out curbside by 1:40pm, apparently they LEFT WITHOUT US, the app said trip complete. UM NO, if the driver is supposed to be there for a 15 minute window the driver should not leave before end of said window. So now we are out money, and had to pay for a cab 78.00 and a tip later to get us to the airport on time. We will never use this service again. We will also be disputing the charges with our credit card company for services not received and sending a scathing email to corporate office. Use Mears or Uber in Orlando if you must! read more

I have never had issues with SuperShuttle in other airports, especially with a prior reservation. I checked in an hour and a half ago, am exhausted from a full day of traveling, and I am still waiting. I was told yet another 15-20 minutes, meaning from the time I checked in to the time I finally leave the airport is going to be 2 hours. Great experience, being picked up at LaGuardia airport. My driver was excellent, stayed in contact, knew where he was at all times. Being someone who has picked up someond at laguardia, he was perfect. My driver was kevin. I forgot to take my cell and left it in his car, he came right back, within 5 min. I am very disappointed with the service. While it is one of the cheaper options to get to your destination (to the airport or from the airport), the wait time is wildly inconsistent. I was supposed to be picked up at 1:15 pm but I didn't get picked up until 2:15 pm. Plus, you are sharing the van with other people, so you'll most likely reach your destination much later than expected. This service is NOT worth saving extra 20 - 30 dollars. I just took Super Shuttle from mid-town to JFK. The pick up was 45 minutes late, and that was at 3:45. So rush hour was starting. I was supposed to get to the airport at 4:30. Between the time he picked me up and 4:45, he picked up two more people. The poor driver was arguing with dispatch, trying to get them to send out another van for the last two pickups, but they wouldn't. So we started out for the airport on a weekday, 15 minutes after I was supposed to arrive. The driver did his best, taking surface streets through Brooklyn, all the way to the airport, saving us an hour. However, I got to the airport 15 minutes before my flight was taking off, so I missed my flight and had to spend $200 for a hotel room. There were people in the van trying to make their flights to Europe! Absolutely worst airport experience ever. NEVER take Super Shuttle. I never will. read more

Extraordinarily long wait time. Have been waiting for more than an hour since 1:30am at EWR (Newark) and this is certainly not considered "peak arrival times." No customer service representative on site. No further communication until I called and was initially told that the driver would arrive within 15 minutes. Subsequently received a call back 10 minutes later to tell me I need to wait at least another 25 minutes. The only saving grace was that they allowed me to cancel my reservation at this point so that I could go take an Uber instead (hopefully the refund comes through). If you value your time (and sleep), taking Supershuttle is not worth the cost savings (since, as we all know, time is money). This is all coming from someone who has previously taken Supershuttle on more than a handful of occasions in the past and never encountered such egregious and unacceptable wait times. My flight was super delayed and the last shuttle from La Guardia is at 12 am at night and my flight arrived at 12:15 am. I could not cancel my bookings as I was on stand by on another flight that I boarded last minute to come to NYC. I haven't been contacted by anyone for refunding my money after I sent them a ticket. Horrible contact service. I had to go to Cold Spring Harbor Lab and was recommended I take this to there, however I found uber cheaper and more convenient especially for a situation where my flight was delayed so much!!! Worst service ever!! Left me standing outside the airport for over 40 minutes at 5 in the morning. My flight landed at 4:50 I was outside by 5:10 and was not picked up until 6:00 am I will never use this service again there is a reason why it's cheap you get what you pay for. My mistake. read more

After waiting 40 minutes, the driver called and asked if I could meet at another location. I refused because he was tardy and I gave the exact address when making the reservation. When we arrived at the airport he questioned passengers asking if the luggage was heavy. Most answered "yes." He then mentioned that if the bags were not heavy then he could let them off at the arrival gate(so he did not have to loop around again = JOKE). One passenger did not have a bag, so she was let out at the arrival gate. Shame on human resources. Was my first and last Super Shuttle. The bus smelled and was not worth $1. Terrible experience with Super Shuttle on my last trip to New York. I booked a shuttle from my friend's apartment to JFK the day before and they said they'd come pick me up between 5:15-5:35am. Perfect, my flight was at 8am. At 5:40, I get nervous and call them. The dispatcher checks where my shuttle is and tells me they'll be here in a couple minutes. at 6:05, they finally arrive (30 minutes late). The driver comes out, grabs my bag, and throws it in the trunk without saying a word. I'm the third person they pick up, so we drive around and get 6 more people before leaving for the airport. By the time we're driving to the airport, it's already 6:40, so I'm getting nervous about making my flight. Once at the airport, I'm the last person to get dropped off at my terminal (JFK is huge, so it took about 20 minutes to get everyone to their terminals). I get dropped off at 7:20 and run to check in. Luckily, the airport was super empty that day, so I made the flight. But had it been a busier day, I definitely would have missed my flight. Next time, I'm taking a taxi. It costs a little more but they'll get me there on time. read more

DON'T TRUST THEY WILL PICK YOU UP ON TIME. DON'T EVEN TRUST THEY WILL PICK YOU UP AT ALL! I had an international flight from Newark Airport to Brazil and needed a lift since I was with 2 bags and had to go to the airport from Manhattan. It was very easy to schedule online and during the reservation, I made clear that I had an international flight and I had to be there on time. Turns out that I was waiting for them at the scheduled time and, since the traffic in NYC is horrible, they were kind of late, but I never thought there was a chance they wouldn't pick me up. After 30 minutes waiting, I started to get worried about it, but since I didn't had a phone to call them (I am from Brazil and was on vacations and had no local phone in NY) I decided to wait a bit more. After 50 minutes, I borrowed a phone from a very nice man who could help me and called Super Shuttle. Without any explanation, Super shuttle attendant informed me that they could not pick me up and that I would have to catch a taxi on my own. So, basically, I was late on rush hour in NYC trying to find a taxi that could take me as fast as possible to Newark Airport so I would miss my flight. Well, that was an awesome way to end my vacations time. Their service is a complete J-O-K-E! No not trust Super Shuttle! I highly recommed calling a friend or taking a taxi - SuperShuttle is not the way to go. Back to Brazil, I sent a complaint and know what they answered me after making me pay 70 bucks for a taxi (besides all the inconvenience and stress they caused me)? Well, that they would not charge me on my credit card for the service. Isn't Super Shuttle so nice not to charge me for a service they did not provide? And they said that pretty much like they were doing me a favor and giving me a gift. And the way they wanted to compensate me for their mistake was giving me a voucher! Let's just say that when traveling in the New York area you get what you pay for. Not to say that Super Shuttle is a bad thing, it's just that you need to keep in mind there is certainly a cost associated with the low rate. What does that equate to? Some of your precious time. Is it a little or a lot? It all depends on a whole lot of variables. You need to keep in mind that you are at the whim of some very overwhelming forces, most notably your fellow passengers and traffic. If all of this doesn't come together smoothly, then what could be a 40min cab ride turns into a 2hour tour of midtown Manhattan street by street hotel by hotel. Which can turn into a knuckle biting anxious experience if you cut it too close. Give yourself plenty of time and I'm talking about 4-5 hours to get out of NYC and through the airport and you SHOULD be fine. All in all, the service was great, my ride showed up on time. The driver was friendly and courteous, the van was clean and in excellent working condition. Aside from a few no shows, the usual Midtown hassles, and broken down car on the freeway. My experience was a good one. Just don't use this service if you are in a hurry, pressed for time, or don't like being packed in a van with 8 other anxious travelers. read more

Used them last week in Denver for a ride to and from downtown to the airport. They were on time. They drove professionally (only 10 mph over the posted limit). And they were very friendly, helpful and courteous. I especially liked getting updates by text message. And their app, showing the location of your ride as it approaches, is especially helpful. The driver called to tell us he was running late due to traffic and wouldn't be able to pick us up at the hotel, so he wanted us to walk to 48th st and 5th Avenue, so we did. We got a call asking where we are, and when we told him, he said he told us 3rd and 48th. Then he told us he wouldn't be able to wait any longer. Thankfully we were able to locate him via the tracker sent in our text message. This was our first trip to NYC and we needed to get back home on the flight we had to return to work the next day. Highly stressed and anxious because of this; an unnecessary end to our honeymoon vacation. Poor taste and unnecessary miscommunication led to this situation. We will NEVER utilize SuperShuttle again and will tell anyone traveling not to use them as well. This should not have happened. read more

They lie and blame you. I checked in online per their instructions. I got a confirmation text with a guest number, and their app showed a van at the next terminal. Van never moved. Then I started getting new confirmation texts with new guest numbers saying I was checked in. Van still hadn't moved. I called them on the courtesy phone and they said I'd just checked in (though I'd checked in 30 minutes previously and had the text and guest number to prove it). They said since I had just checked in (lie!) I would have to wait another 30 minutes. Best I can determine, this is a SCAM where they send you a new guest number and every time they do, it resets the clock to give them more time to get more riders in each vehicle. I gave up and took a cab. I never canceled the ride and they continued sending me new texts with new guest numbers even though I'd been home for hours. If I hadn't taken (or been able to afford) alternate transportation, I think I'd still be at the airport. It's been 8 months. read more

The only problem was they sent us in a big circle when we disembarked from our cruise. We went across the street where we saw a super shuttle van and was told he wasn't our driver. We called the dispatcher and was told to go back to the disembarkation area.We drag our 200 lbs of luggage there and was told no pickups allowed in that restricted area.We called super shuttle back and was told we needed to go back across the street; My wife is almost 70 years old so this was not well received from either one of us. Very dissatisfied with this shuttle and its service. I arrived at 6:30 am and notified the shuttle where I'm waiting about 7am. The dispatcher told me it would take about 45 min to an hour. I waited 2 hours and 30 min for the shuttle to arrive. Very unstable, definitely don't recommend this to anyone! You're way better off taking public stransportation. read more

Finding "loading" location upon arrival at LGA was a bit of problem. One note: be sure you schedule DIRECTLY with SuperShuttle and not a third party like one of the travel sites. I hate this service. I've nearly missed my flight and they've taken me to JFK by way of LGA. It's not worth the savings to be in a van with strangers five hours before your flight. I've given them several shots and I have literally never had a good experience. Take the bus out of Grand Central instead. Update in response to the below. I appreciate the concern but I'm not going to waste my time filing a formal complaint. I will never use or recommend your service to any person I care about. One thing I forgot to mention above. One of my drivers was listening to a religious sermon while I was on my multi hour ride with him. I asked if he wouldn't mind changing the channel to music. When I got out at the airport, he yelled, "Jesus loves you!" I could be Jewish, Islamic, or Atheist...or Christian but not want to proselytized to on the way to the airport. I might not have cared so much if I wasn't late and hadn't been sitting in his discarded snack and drink containers the whole time. Train your drivers or pay for better ones. Stay away!!! The worst customer service you can imagine, they basically took my money and provided no service. It wasn't always like that - in the past I have used them several times when visiting NY, and was very happy, so I decided to do it again. After landing I used the online "check-in" feature, which was horribly broken - the directions concerning where to wait were very unclear, and the status of the car was not updated. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out where I'm supposed to wait. And I waited, and waited...all the time their so-called online service showing the car was still in terminal 1 (I was in 4). After a very long wait I called them. They kept me on hold, so I waited, and waited, and waited, until they disconnected me. So I tried again. Now they told me the driver could not find me (he was there a few minutes after I checked-in apparently, and I missed him), which means a "no-show" which means basically I lost my reservation. When I asked why they didn't call or message me, they said I have an international number so they couldn't (really ?!?!?!?). Funny they didn't have a problem taking money from my international credit card. I can go and on, but there's no point - there are so many better options, just avoid this company. read more

For what this was and what we expected was what you get. You pay for a native to drive you. We did Newark to Manhattan in a shared van. There. It was great. Rough and car sick? Yes but it was like riding in a church van as a kid. BUT shocking and sharp turns. On the way back. Different story. I literally thought we might die and I'm not being dramatic. The van flipping was on everyone's mind. The driver was such an aggressive driver to the point I felt in danger and was worrying about pedestrians that he would zoom by. He cut off over 12 people and by cut off I couldn't see the front of the car out the back window. We cut from the far left all the way to the exit of the road on the far right. Everyone was wobbling from the car sickness. If you have a little extra money. Do a taxi or some other option. If you are on a budget and don't care. This is your best bet. read more

Over 1.5 wait and I confirmed in advance and checked in as I landed. Not right. And they do not care

This morning my shuttle driver picked me up at the hotel, he saw that I had my suitcase and laptop bag. When I get to the airport, I have no suitcase...he left it on the street and argued with me that I did not have a suitcase. I called the hotel and luckily someone found my bag and turned it into the hotel. I called Super Shuttle to report the situation and was told to go online and fill out the lost item report and they would investigate it to determine what happened....REALLY??? I had to take a taxi back to the hotel and get my bag and then return back to LGA airport. $80 later I finally have my suitcase and made it to the gate 15 minutes before boarding. I have never been treated so badly in all of my life. I will use a car service from now on, cheaper overall and more reliable! read more

Missed my flight, beware. I called dispatch they told me my ride was in route. Over an hour I waited on the side walk for the van it finally showed. When I called super shuttle dispatch they assured me I'd arrive in time for my flight. They lied and I missed the flight. I've notified them of my missed flight and I'm waiting to hear back from them. They never refunded me or helped cover the cost of damages. I hope they go out of business. Considering a super shuttle you have to take into account that it's a van shuttle system where there are multiple pick up and drop off locations so it will take TIME, and especially in a busy city near NYC, it will definitely take awhile from pick up and drop off. I've used super shuttle in another city and I find the app is very easy and convenient to use, so I booked a shuttle pick the same day as my pick up, and I didn't have any problem. I booked on the app before I departed the airport in Houston at 8 AM and I had my pick up at LGA at 1:30 PM. Once you arrive in the baggage claim look for the Welcome Center and that's where you can wait for the attendants to call your name and then you get on the shuttle. I was the 5th passenger to get on, and then we circled the airport one more time to pick up the last set of passengers before heading to Manhattan. It was a packed van, but that's normal. I think I was the only one booked my reservation on the app because the others signed up through their hotel or at the airport, which looks like it's a bit of a longer hassle kind of a process. Not sure what I did right, but I was the first stop from the airport and it was a breeze! This is an affordable alternative to taking a cab or even Uber IF you're open to carpooling and have some time to spare. But I do find the drivers are bit wreck less in their driving, not worried about the bumps and dips on the streets. read more

If I could I would give a rating of 0 out of 5 stars. I'm currently still in route to get to Hell's Kitchen because the driver insisted on taking the 59th street bridge, worked his way up to 101st, touched the Bronx to make it to w 138th, and is currently circling back to make it downtown. I'm extremely pissed that a simple journey is taking me more than 2 hours to get from JFK to w 47th street. Super Shuttles NEEDS to do BETTER! Never again will I waste my money on poor service. If passenger aren't grouped based on their final destination - your drivers should be trained to make executives decisions that will get all passengers to their destinations within a reasonable timeframe. In addition, please make sure your driver is knowledgeable of NYC traffic - this way s/he isn't taking the most congested routes when dropping off passengers. read more
