Awful experience! We were driving around Manhattan for an hour before we even left for the airport. It's quicker to take the subway and it's just as slow as a bus. My flight arrived from LAX at 2:15am, that info was in my reservation that I made on line. No where does it tell you on the reservation or website that the earliest a van will be available is 5:30am - OVER THREE Hours. Customer service was not sympathetic when I called and their solution was to refund my fare, they had no concern for the customer experience I had at 2:15AM. I filed a formal complaint which they advised would be processed FIFO. I gave them two weeks to return my call for a complaint I filed 8/25, after no response followed up with them. Their corporate department did listen but did not seem overly concerned when advised of my experience and quoted that the reservation indicates during non-peak times wait times are longer than normal. Three hours is clearly excessive. FYI - when I attempted my reservation with PRIME TIME not Super shuttle for a 12:45AM arrival on my return, the reservation was clear - we don't pick up after 12:00. read more

Taking this service is only ok if you have lots of time. I waited 40 min at the airport for arrival. Passengers were not grouped logically. Drop off locations were too far (Brooklyn and Upper west side? Among other spots). Driver needs to communicate order of drop offs to set expectations. No communication at all. Never again. read more

I was somewhat nervous given the poor reviews but this really was an exceptional experience. I booked a ride from my apartment in Manhattan to JFK. The driver came to my door and helped with my luggage. In fact, he even rang my doorbell because my SMS was not working (probably because I gave them my Google Voice). Van was clean and not too packed, even though I had two large articles of luggage. Comfortable ride and safe driver who still got me to JFK in very short time. Glad I gave them a try! read more

I don't think she understands the "service" in customer service at all. I made reservation online for shared shuttle from Bayside Fire island ferries to JFK. I got an immediate email confirmation & day before a text reminder. Using my cell & confirmation # I was able to track where my driver was while waiting & was given the license plate, color & make/model of the shuttle van. That feature was reassuring, knowing my shuttle was coming. I could not believe how fast we got to JFK, I rode with 3 others so plenty of room! read more

NEVER AGAIN. I landed at JFK and promptly followed the instructions on my phone. I asked a person at the welcome center what happens and they advised a driver will come in an get me. After about 30 minutes I called and was told about another 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I called again. Was told traffic was bad and my van was tied up. After nearly an hour and 45 minutes my van showed up. I was the last pickup and sat on a bench with half my tail hanging over the edge. Absolutely horrible experience. Could have shared a cab with somebody else waiting ( never found out when she got picked up) for $5 more. My last trip with these guys, absolutely horrible, don't like being strung along, next time tell me the truth, i.e. You have no idea when he will be there. read more

If I could give a lower review I would. On a light travel day In NYC I ordered Super Shuttle service. Used online check-in for supposed faster service and waited over an hour for pick up. There is an online "contact driver" messaging function to get eta and a realtime map service. None worked. I would rather pay for cab or uber rather then wait an hour to picked up and another hour to be dropped off at hotel. It was faster flying from Detroit to New York then from LGA to Marriott. read more

I chose this shuttle service because they said they accepted credit card payments. My reservation slip from the Port Authority Ground Transportationesk at Newark clearly specifies that payment would be charged, but the driver refused my credit card and said that he only accepted cash payments when he dropped me off. How is someone who just landed in the country 2 hrs ago supposed to find cash in the middle of the street? Would I have asked to pay with a credit card if I had had cash to start with? As I type this review from a cab (yes, I know this is a super shuttle review...I'll get there) I can only wish that I could give Super Shuttle zero stars. I booked a shuttle for 3:05 p.m. After waiting 15 minutes I decided to use the locate feature to see where my shuttle was. It seemed to be heading away from me. After I sent my driver multiple messages (which he/she) completely ignored, I called the main number. It was then that I was told that the driver "forgot" me and never came to pick me up. At this point, we are 45 minutes past when I was supposed to be picked up. As it was NYC Pride, I then battled another 30 minutes to get a cab and am now headed to the airport. Safe to say, super shuttle no longer has a customer in me. And I will absolutely be getting reimbursed for this cab, which has now reached $42 so far. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Used it to get from times square to newark. NEVER AGAIN. Reserved online for pick up at the hotel between 3:05 and 3:20. Reservations say to be there at 3:05 so that others do not have to wait!!! At 3:25, I called and they said they were 15 minutes away. Fifteen minutes later, I called again. Was told they were 8 minutes away. 5 minutes later the driver called me to say he was 8 minutes away! At 4:00 the driver finally showed up. I tried to get a refund but customer service told me they needed 4 hours notice to cancel AFTER they were already 30 minutes late. Super Shuttle is the best, most reliable, and least expensive service. Like all van services, it is not a private service, therefore you may find yourself circling the airport or NYC for 30-45 minutes prior to actual departure to your final destination. I began using SuperShuttle after the following incident with Go AirLink Shuttle. If you are ever tempted to use SuperShuttle's competitor, Go AirLink Shuttle (which should be called Go AirLoony Shuttle), the incident below should make you think again! This is why you should use SuperShuttle: I had a reservation to be picked up at 4:50a.m. at JFK. I spotted the Go AirLink van at 6:00a.m. (it took that long to get out of the airport thanks to understaffing of border agents) but the driver claimed he did not have my reservation for his van, even though I showed him my reservation. I had disrupted him while he was sleeping and he clearly preferred to sleep rather than work! At 6:05a.m., I spoke with dispatcher Juan at 212 812 9000, advising him that Go AirLink van #215 with a sleeping driver who didn't feel like picking me up was parked in front of Terminal 4, and asked him to assign this driver to pick me up. Juan advised me that a van will arrive within 30 minutes of landing (even though I had landed at 4:24a.m.) and that I must wait at "ground transportation" inside Terminal 4 rather than outside the terminal in front of Go Link van 215. I complied. At 6:39a.m. I observed a Go AirLink van stop behind van 215 (containing the sleeping employee), and then drive off. At no time did I observe an employee of Go AirLink, with white and green clothing or a sign, appear within Terminal 4 international arrivals section. I then phoned the dispatcher and was on hold for at least 10 minutes. When Go AirLink finally answered the phone at 6:47a.m., I complained to Juan that a FIRST Go AirLink van had stopped behind the stationary van 215 and had driven off instead of picking me up. I reminded Juan that van 215 was parked in front of terminal 4 but that its lazy sleeping driver had not been assigned to pick me up and that he should inform the driver who was assigned to pick me up that he should not be confused by the presence of stationary van 215 in front of terminal 4. Juan said to "wait a few minutes" and refused to disclose the van number or name of the driver assigned to me, or expected revised pick up time. At 6:48a.m. a SECOND Go AirLink van drove by stationary van 215, without stopping. From 6:49a.m. to 7:05a.m nobody answered the phone at 212 812 9000. I was phoning to complain about the failure to pick me up at the terminal yet a second time. While waiting for anybody to answer the phone, I exited terminal 4 and stood by stationary van 215, whose motor was running for no reason while the driver slept, and I took pictures of the van while waiting to flag one of the mobile vans. At 7:01a.m. a THIRD Go AirLink van drove by stationary van 215 and didn't bother to stop to pick me up. As of 7:05a.m., exasperated and realizing that Go AirLink's dispatcher has no control over either his sleeping or wakeful drivers circling JFK for every reason imaginable except picking up passengers, I left for my home via the subway, arriving at 8:33a.m. My flight landed at 4:23a.m. and Go AirLink couldn't be bothered to pick me up by 7:05a.m. even though it had 3 circulating vans driving around instead of stopping to enter the terminal. The dispatcher instructed me to wait inside the terminal, but even when I waited outside the terminal, next to the van with the sleeping driver, the mobile vans did not stop. After filing 3 complaints with Go AirLink, demanding a refund, which were ignored, I disputed the full round-trip cost of the service with my credit card company. Go AirLink had the gall to respond to the credit card dispute with the following false statement: "[w]e provided all svcs requested. No complaints on file" and that I was picked up at 5:40a.m. on the date in question. In response, I provided evidence of my cell phone calls to the dispatcher after 5:40a.m., as well as pictures of the Go AirLink van with the sleeping employee. Needless to say, I won the dispute and was refunded the entire amount, withdrawn from the account of Go AirLink. I will never use this fake service again. While the drivers that actually do drive you may be friendly and polite, the management and dispatchers, as well as sleeping drivers, are unprofessional and fraudsters in that they charge you for a service they fail to provide. I now use SuperShuttle and have no complaints. read more

Then, they still had to make more stops at the airport. By the time we left JFK, it was 1hr 10min later. Not to mention the morning traffic to get into the city. I understood that a shuttle wouldn't magically appear just because I arrived, but when I called the dispatch center they said the ETA was 2 hours! Awful. Terrible. Worst Service I have ever had. If I could give this agency negative stars I would!!! Absolutely awful. I booked a 5 day/4 night trip to New York City coming from Upstate New York. We have been traveling quite a bit but had not used a shuttle service before. I usually ALWAYS check Yelp's reviews of places but for some reason I didn't look up this agency prior to booking them. I arranged our whole trip including our flights through Priceline months ago but didn't realize that my Manhattan hotel didn't have a complimentary shuttle service. At the time I had no idea that our hotel had a standard car service so I purchased a shuttle transport to and from the airport. I printed out our vouchers and they stated that they did not take reservations and that we should call for our shuttle upon arrival. We arrived into NYC-LaGuardia Airport at 7:02am and we called immediately for the shuttle. They stated it would be a 45 minute wait and we figured with city traffic that was fine. After an hour and 20 minutes went by I called back and they stated it would arrive within 10 minutes. Another 40 minutes later I called again and they stated the shuttle was on its way and to look out for him. Finally after over 2 hours of waiting for our shuttle, it arrived. We thought that was the worst of it but then we stopped 3 more times within the airport to pick people up. We didn't arrive at our hotel until after 10am. Our hotel was only a 10 minute ride with the NYC traffic!! Absolutely ridiculous! As if that was the worst of it. We called the required 24 hours in advance for our return shuttle and I was informed that our shuttle would arrive at our hotel at 8:30am for our 12:45 flight. I asked if it was standard to pick up customers over 4 hours prior to their flights. I was told that we would be picked up along with 4 other stops prior to the airport. I don't mind sharing a shuttle service but 4 other stops. The vans aren't that big and we sat very close to others in a very bumpy van ride. The drivers are pre-occupied with their tablets and cell phones to drive safely. When the van arrived the next morning the driver was over an hour late, leaving us sitting in the lobby waiting. Since we were waiting with no idea when the shuttle would arrive we purchased a coffee while we waited. The driver showed up 15 minutes later and told me to throw out my coffee prior to entering the van. The drive was supposed to pick us up at 8:30, shows up after 9:30 with no phone call or anything to let us know they would be late and up on calling them... no idea when exactly he would be there but he was in the area. Then tells me I have to throw out my coffee to keep the disgusting van "clean" haha this service is a JOKE!! The whole experience was awful and I will never use this service again. We then went three blocks to pick up the next group of passengers at a hotel. I waited in the van for 20 minutes before the driver returned. He gave no apology or explanation. If I could give this review negative stars, I would. It's my first time in New York and I booked the shuttle included in my travel package. Flight landed at 8:30 at the shuttle at 8:45 quoted 15-30 minutes WAITED AN HOUR AND A HALF FOR MY RIDE. The only kind employee was a young man whom I didn't catch his name. The women running the front desk are unprofessional and lack in customer service. Mind you I've never taken a shuttle and it seemed like the majority of the people in the bus were clueless as well so I asked the driver (I don't know his name but the van he was driving this evening was numbered 4-15) what the order of the stops will be. He said If you no make me comfortable I have no problems taking empty shuttle. Which basically meant he was willing to kick everyone out. I apologized and explained I've had a long travel day and he said it's okay. We pull over not even out of the airport and I asked what we were doing and he lists off the names and realizes he's missing one passenger. We wait 5 more minutes for that passenger. I'm in the shuttle as I'm typing and I'm literally on the edge of my seat because he's driving so unsafe. I still do not know what stops are happening first or what time I'll be at my destination. Currently 3 hours after my plane landed. I wish I would have stood up for myself and taken a stand. Being in an airport with all walks of life will do some weird things to your mental well being and you just transition into survival mode. I'll never forget the first time I see the NY skyline and I don't have tears of joy in my eyes I'm looking at it with tears of anger and irritation. Terrible service. I frequently travel and take many shuttle services around the globe to and from the airport. SuperShuttle (NY only) is the WORST. Disorganized, frazzled, and slow-SuperShuttle (NY) manages to ruin any good trip. Use another company or park. We were very disappointed with our Super Shuttle experience. Here is the letter I just sent to their customer service link on their website: I am so disappointed in Super Shuttle. I just came to New York City, and needed a ride from La Guardia airport to my daughter's apartment in Manhattan. I did some research online before I left home, and found some car services that were of interest since we wouldn't have to share a ride and extend our travel time picking up and dropping off other passengers. I ended up booking with Super Shuttle for several reasons. Although Super Shuttle was a little more money and we had to deal with the multiple passenger issue, the reviews on the other car companies were of concern to me. Customers complained of reservations being "lost", drivers being late, drivers being discourteous, drivers not showing up, etc. I decided to go with a company that I have heard of and thought had a good reputation. What a mistake. We booked online. The booking process was pretty easy. The instructions seemed simple. Get into the airport, pick up our luggage, proceed to the Welcome Center and a car would be waiting. We landed in New York. I received a text from Super Shuttle telling us again where to go and what to do. Seemed simple enough. Picked up our luggage, and proceeded to the Welcome Center. We checked in at 7:38pm. The slip they gave us said the shuttle should arrive by 8:08pm. At 8:15pm, I tried calling Super Shuttle to find out what the delay was and was on hold waiting to talk to a real person. At 8:20pm, my husband went over to the counter at the Welcome Center and talked to the gentleman there who then called Super Shuttle to find out what was going on (in the meantime, I am still on hold trying to get someone on the phone). My husband comes back and tells me that the guy spoke to the dispatcher and they said we were the only customers for the shuttle and the shuttle driver was waiting for more passengers before coming to get us. It could be another 30 minutes. Or longer. The gentleman at the Welcome Center told the the dispatcher that it was Saturday night, slow and that there probably wouldn't be any more passengers and he should come get us. He refused. I hung up, mad. We booked a reservation and expected the shuttle to be there to take us to our destination. I called back and talked to someone in customer service who explained the same thing to me...the driver wouldn't come until he had more passengers. We could either wait or get a refund. Since I have never been to LaGuardia before and didn't know how to find transportation, I told her I would call back once I spoke to the guy at the airport. The guy at the Welcome Center recommended a car service. We called the service, and within 5 minutes a town car was there to pick us up. Just us. A clean car, courteous driver, no other random stops along the way, and LESS MONEY than we were spending on Super Shuttle. What a deal. I called Super Shuttle back and asked for a refund. After balking a bit, the person agreed to credit my credit card. Obviously, I can't trust Super Shuttle to get me back to the airport on time to catch my plane home. I don't plan on ever calling Super Shuttle and will tell everyone I know of the nightmare experience that we just had. I felt like I had to take the time to tell you why you lost this customer and anyone else that listens to me about our experience so that they will choose another company. If you take a reservation, then you should honor that reservation. read more
