I had seen this place many times driving through West Chicago and after multiple trips to my local stores one day, no one in my local area seemed to be able to keep Kratom shots in stock and also claimed to have troubles procuring more as supply was tight. So I decided to head over to Green Smoke and see what they had. The shop has a clean open floor plan and seems to have a massive selection of just about everything one could possibly want. There was a dizzying array vape juice, tobacco wrappers, and smoking pieces galore! I came for the Kratom shots though. I entered the door and took a look around to see if I could see where the Kratom section was and a man behind the counter greeted me and asked me how I could be helped and I said "Do you have OPMS Gold Liquid shots?" He said yes they did and he walked across the room to me left to a glass case and said this is the selection we have as he opened up the case to retrieve the shots. I told him how happy I was to see he had them as my neighborhood was out and mentioned my back was a mess. He asked me how often do I need to treat this pain and I said when it's really bad it's 3 times a week then minimum once a week til it's fully worked out and no longer spasmodic. He recognized my specific needs and said he would make sure to order more in advance so that he's always got it on hand for me. I can't tell you how rare that is these days for people to actually take into account their customers needs. This is not terribly far from my house but even if it were, I would make the drive as they have made a legitimate effort to care and ensure they can be ready to serve my needs. If you know me at all, you know that I have serious issues with the burbs - mainly, I get horribly lost every time I leave the city, the vast expanses of farmland littered with Applebee's depresses me, etc. That being said, the $85.00 a carton prices I pay in the city are slightly more upsetting, so I will occasionally venture out to the burbs for smokes. This is a great little shop run by a couple of very friendly guys. They know their regulars and greet them by name. Large selection of cigarettes ($32.00 for Camel Lights!!!!), tobacco, pipes, lighters, all of the accouterments one would expect out of a tobacco shop, but WITHOUT COOK COUNTY TAXES. Yipeee! They only had 1 carton of hard packs, so I had to buy some soft pack cartons as well, but the owner gave me his card, told me to call ahead, and he would make sure he had my brand on hand before I make another trek out there. Oh, and be sure that I will - nice selection, great prices, friendly staff - worth the drive. Take that, Blagojevich. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Stroger!
